Chapter 396

Mikael wanted to stop her but the smile and confidence on her face were so strong that Mikael was brainwashed for a second. He lost his resilience and stay still, all he could do was watch as Princess Belle took a step toward the wobbling portal. 

"What are you doing Princess, stand back!"

Remington realized that the Princess was approaching the machine, he tried to stop her but dozens of Elves surrounded him. 

"What is going on here?"

The Dwarf was furious. He trusted these Elves because they were known for being good nature. Yet these people started acting up when something bad happened. They were suspicious!

'I know that the Princess has unfamiliar power, but I can't believe that she will do this to us!! That portal is dangerous! One mistake and this whole place will disappear. Even the Black Tortoise can never defend against it!'

Remington felt guilty that they added the tortoise to this problem. The Black Tortoise is a good creature, yet the creature might die because of them. 

The Elves didn't have any idea why the Princess approached the portal, but they trust her. After all, Princess Belle won't act like this if she didn't have a reason. 

"Dwarven Remington, don't move. You may be an Elder but it will still take time to fight us and reach the Princess."

The Elf said. 

"Damn it!"

When the people felt that something was strange, they looked at the fearless woman who was taking her steps. 

The wind brushed her silver hair, making her appear like a goddess. The gentle smile on her face caught their hearts. Even Furrneka was mesmerized for a second before she regained her mind. 

Princess Belle was like a goddess in the middle of destruction, her bravery was unfathomable. The scientists gulped watching as Princess Belle stopped right in front of the dangerous portal. 

Princess Belle glanced at Chen Yu who was busy controlling the system. 

"Chen Yu, just use your Skill to calm the portal and I will fix everything."

"A- are you insane? If I touched the sphere itself, everything will explode."

"Trust me."

Her green eyes were staring straight, and Chen Yu could see nothing but confidence. 

"Okay, I will. I have no choice anyway!!"

"Thank you."

"Hmmph!"

Chen Yu started affecting the sphere using his Synergy. A bluish aura enveloped the monitors up to the huge rotating sphere.

"T- the portal is becoming stable!!"

One of them screamed while looking at the monitor. They regained their focus and began typing rapidly. 

Chen Yu was gasping for air and he was sweating a lot. Yet his hands that were touching the monitors didn't lose their strength. 

He looked at Princess Belle. 

"I don't know what you're going to do but do it!"

It's do or die. 

"Thank you."

Princess Belle nodded and started doing her job. 

The red ruby on her necklace lit up and energy flowed all over the hall, the people felt the monstrous energy that was becoming a whirlwind. They were all looking at the woman with awe. 

"I think this is enough."

When she confirmed that the energy was reasonable. Using her wind ability, she controlled the pure mana and inserted it into the portal. 

However.

The portal started rumbling and everyone was frightened. Some of them started running away from the hall, hoping that they could escape the upcoming explosion. 

Raven and Raijin ran toward Furrneka to protect her. The two pets understand that Mikael could survive this predicament. He overcame much deadlier situations than this. 

"Mikael!!"

Furrneka cried and Mikael glanced at her. Yet the man didn't move, he was waiting for the Princess. He didn't know why but his instincts were telling him that Princess Belle succeeded. 

And just as he expected, no explosion happened, seconds passed and the portal started to become stable. Mikael grinned, he found this woman interesting. As if she feared nothing. 

"D- did we succeed?"

Remington asked while looking at the calm portal. He was shocked, his eyes couldn't believe it. 

The scientists studied the portal and rechecked the signals. 

"W- we did it!!"

One of them jumped up in happiness until everyone celebrated. They jumped around like children playing in the park. Of course, they spent almost a decade perfecting this project. They were delighted to know that their hardwork had paid off. 

But two people detected something. 

"No, it's still not over."

Mikael and Princess Belle said at the same time. 

Just as they were busy celebrating, the portal puked a destruction spell. Light covered the whole area. 

"The Demon Lords created a spell to protect their planet if someone infiltrated it. The spell detected that a portal was created so it attack us."

She muttered. 

A powerful shockwave crushed the monitors and even the gentle Black Tortoise was disturbed. It roared. 

"... Thank you."

Yet Princess Belle smiled. She looked at the man who stopped the spell from exploding. 

"No problemo."

Mikael replied. His hair became white and he was emitting deadly lightning. In a span of a millisecond, he absorbed the spell before it detonate. The spell that could kill hundreds of lives was sponged by him.

"W- what happened?"

They were surprised. They thought they were going to die because of the spell. Thankfully, the only stuff that was broken was the monitors. The sphere was working fine and the system too. 

Even the Black Tortoise returned to its slumber. 

"Hey, how did you know that I will save you?"

Mikael stared coldly at her but Princess Belle casually shrugged her shoulders. Being glared at by Mikael was not that bad. It was quite exciting. 

"It's a secret."

She said and started walking away. 

"Mikael what did you do? Holy shit I thought I'm gonna die! Thank you for saving our lives!! Damn, that spell is quite frightening."

Chen Yu approached him while wiping his face. He was covered in sweat. The idea of dying was frightening. 

"..."

"Mikael? You okay?"

He asked but Mikael was silently looking at the Elven woman. 

"Hey, I'm talking to you."

"Shut up, you stink."

"Ugh..."

Chen Yu received emotional damage. 

Just as Mikael was busy looking at her, someone bit his shoulder. Furrneka didn't like it whenever Mikael looked at a woman, especially if the woman was attractive. 

"Furrneka? I thought you don't use violence anymore?"

"Hmmph! It's a different thing if you keep looking at her! You're mine!"

"Of course."

He shrugged and kissed her. As expected, a Yandere was truly cute. Furrneka pouted but she was happy that Mikael kiss her. 

"Hmmph!"
