"So what's your name?" Miria asked, walking into the apartment. It was cozy and simple, with a noticeable 'new-age' touch - scented candles, herbs, some incense, and various decorations.

"...Claire." answered the girl. "Nice to meet you. Do you have any idea where we are?" She asked, looking out her window - higher up than Miria's and on the other side of the building, with a substantially larger expanse of lawn between it and the forest - and, visible beyond the forest, the sides of some massive mountains, also largely forested, stretching up and away into the distance.

Miria shook her head. "Unfortunately, no, beyond the obvious. It seems like the entire building and the ground beneath it was teleported, or something. Pretty sure those aren't the Rockies, anymore, either..." She says, going to join Claire by the window and pointing up at the mountains. "I want to go out and explore the surrounding area at some point, but there's a bunch of stuff we should probably get done first, assuming you want to work together. Securing the building, looting the place, fortifying it, figuring out our abilities, all of that. You interested?"

Claire chewed on her lip for a moment. "...What would you want me to do? I'm not really the type to be swinging swords around. I can help search the place, I guess?"

"Well, have you been able to bring up your 'Character Sheet', yet?" She asks, and upon receiving a baffled look from Claire, she nods towards a bathroom. "Here. Stand in front of the mirror and ask to see your character sheet."

It takes a couple moments for Claire to respond, then she cautiously walks over and looks at the mirror. "Uh. Let me see my character sheet? Oh!" She says, leaning forwards. "...Well, damn. Like a video game? That's crazy..."

Miria walks over and looks at the mirror. "Seems it's private - I can't see anything. Good to know, I guess."

"Huh. Well, let me see if I can just... Share character sheet?" Claire says, and the letters of light write themselves in the mirror for Miria's inspection.

"Oh hey, you have a different set of stats than me. And some essence... Does that stuff accumulate naturally? Okay, that's good to know. You can bring up details on stats and the like by asking about them, though only ten times per day apparently. Can you try it for your Plant Growth and Nature Magic abilities?" Miria asks, and Claire tilts her head slightly, the details popping up in the mirror a second later.

"Well that looks pretty good. I was kinda worried about getting food once we ran out of whatever we could loot from the building, but it seems you have that covered. And magic sounds amazing, better still if you can learn it without us needing to find you a teacher or a book or something."

Claire side-eyed her stats in the mirror. "...I guess. I dunno, if there's monsters running around, I'd like to have an answer beyond 'run away'." She looks over at Miria. "...Maybe I can learn to throw, like, fireballs, or whatever? I still think I'd be better off with the extra arms and armor, and being, like, seven feet tall."

Miria elbows her a little. "Hey, you've got the abilities, you should see what you can do with them! You might as well, right?"

"...Yeah, I guess. Can I see yours? I want to compare notes." Claire asks, still looking uncertainly at her own abilities.

Miria squirmed a little. "Uhhhhh....! Fuck it, sure, why not. Just lemme warn you it gave me some weird stuff, okay? So like, don't be judgy." She said, and brought her own character sheet up in the mirror with a thought, Claire's resizing to take up only half of it.

"Princess, eh? And here I thought you were all butch. Wait, how'd you lose HP? Are you okay?" Claire asked, and Miria laughed and shrugged.

"...Well, I was more of a femme, but the new body isn't making that easy, so maybe I'll give being butch a shot. And I got scraped up during some fighting. It's fine, all HP does is absorb damage, I don't think anything happens when you run out beyond no longer being protected. And 11 HP doesn't actually absorb much any way."

"Okay, that's not to bad I guess. Wait, Dominance? SERVITOR EGGS!?" Claire exclaimed, eyes widening as she side-eyed Miria. "What do those do!?"

Miria sighed. "Well, I dunno about the second one, I haven't looked at it yet... But alright, let's see.

"...Huh, I don't think it charged me for showing the 'Dominance' dialog again." Miria said, pursing her lip as she looked the abilities over.

Claire scoffed. "Forget that, look at that ability! You can put eggs in people! What the fuck."

After a quick read through and a couple uncertain blinks, Miria whistles. "Okay, yeah, that's even worse than I thought. Well, I suppose I can just choose not to use it..."

"I dunno. What was that you said to me earlier? 'You've got the ability, you might as well use it?'" Claire teased, grinning over at Miria.

"And are you volunteering?" Miria replied, smirking back, much to Claire's horror.

"What!? Nooo! Ugh, don't say that kind of thing while blocking the door!" She replied, blushing a little, and shoved Miria gently out of the way while Miria snickered. "Anyway what about clearing the building and then looting it? Let's just get to work on that, okay?"
