Note: During Estel's free time within the greenhouse.

//Relaxing time within the greenhouse//

As Estel continues to feed her tiny dragon inside the greenhouse.
She continued to ask her questions.

"So what exactly am I?"
She asked as the tiny dragon as it raised its head with a bit of food on its mouth.

"You are a half-blood white dragon of the demon race," it said.
Estel froze and shuddered, still surprised by that fact.

"Ho-how... is that possible my father has dark scaly wings!" she shouted at it.

"What do you mean?" it tilted its head.

"I mean... my father is a black dragon.
How come I became white?"

As Estel asked the creature it then scratched its scaly neck with its tiny claws.

"You are curious and jealous of your sister who inherited his blood.
But you perhaps didn't know...
That your father's mother was a white dragon."

"Eh? you are kidding me?" she was surprised then ecstatically asked.

"Then how come I couldn't see her!? Was she at the demon-castle?"

The tiny dragon paused in its meal,
Then shook its head with a lonely look as its eyes narrowed downwards.

"She was the last of the whites, but in the end, she perished.
The one who slew her was the same person that attacked your home.

Well... your father seemed to have dealt with him.
Revenge is bittersweet in the end." it calmly said.

Then continued to munch as it ate the meal she had given.
Estel watched it do so, as she fidgeted as she curiously asked another question.

"Then...
What's the difference between my sister's wings and mine?"

As it ate the food it glanced at her as it spoke.

"Your sister Esla inherited your father's blood.
The growth of the black dragon is perhaps the strongest in the physical realm.
Granting her extreme amount of potential despite being a half."

As it explained she continued to nod.

"As for you...
Well, you should have already experienced it yourself.
It did not show any signs of growth.

But that is simply because every fool that was around you were far too blind to see it."
It calmly said to her then shouted to her.

"From the Very Beginning!
Your wings are perhaps the most beautiful thing!
I have ever seen amongst the winged ones!" it shouted excitedly and proudly.

Estel was fazed as it said those words.
She gave it a wry smile and asked.

"Eh? are you flattering me?
Or are you perhaps joking around?" she said in her annoyance.

After all...
Estel wings hadn't existed until the familiar appeared before her.
Even she herself hasn't seen it properly after the incident in her home.

It made snorts to her in response then said.

"Your wings from the very beginning were growing.
Not in the physical realm but in the spiritual one."

She gazed at it with disbelief in her eyes.

"Eeeeh..." was her response.

"We can see it,
Let us transform as your wings!
At least look at it once!" it cried out to her as it added.

"If you return to the demon-kingdom,
Those fools will surely-"

"NO-" She shouted at it when it mentioned her home.

"I don't want to return to that place!" she said in a swift rejection.

"If I return...
There will only be a competition in the queen's throne.
My sister is its rightful owner of that seat.
And my return will only cause more complication that my very existence is a problem!"

As she explained, the tiny dragon looks downward as it then asked.

"Do you seek to live amongst the humans?
You do understand what they will do...
Once they discovered what you truly are?"

Estel gripped the cloth in her chest as she heard its words.

"I know full well.
They are greedy.
But even so...

Compared to my life in the castle.
I prefer to be with them, as they show me more compassion than I imagined.
That my own home couldn't give me." She said with a pained look on her face.

The tiny dragon could simply crawl at her side as it tried to cheer for her.

"Be that as it may...
We are a part of you.
That will be at your side.
Till you reach your end."

As she left a gentle smile at it, she nods.
She pulls out another bread as she ate with it in the greenhouse
Where rarely anyone enters the place.

//Another Party has arrived.//

My name is Chelsie of Roon.

Dark hair and short hair a knives on the sides of my waists and an adventurious looks.
Though thats what I used to be.

Everyone has been calling me the Hero.
Technically this is because of my many recent achievements of having the lowest death count within the current war in my country after they tried to make an attempt of attacking us.

Roon is a city placed on the mountains making it extremely hard to invade as it is...
It's kind of stupid for them to attack us in the first place.
But the most ridiculous part of this story...
Was that I was a mercenary hired by them to buy time while the real army hid behind our backs waiting for us to get wiped out.

But for me... This is just a job.

What exactly did I do?
Simple really...
In the art of war, the one most prepared will always win.
Technically I turned the very land against them.
Making land-slides, Constructing large falling Rocks and Tree's covered in oil as they burn my enemies as well as other knick knacks which my men were trained specifically to defend against encroaching monsters in villages.

These are the kind of tricks we have in general.
Definitely wasn't anything special.

But during that war...
One time they managed to nearly catch us by performing an ambush and reading our moves
I had to trigger an explosion using magic right on top us causing a pretty nasty rock slide.
Causing a few of my men to get dragged off by it but most of us were safe due to our line of work.
That rockslide was a miracle that saved our butts from that hellish battle.

Fortunately, our contract ended after that.
We were so close to being killed.

After that war, the king called me forth and promoted me as a noble.
Entitling me with the title: Hero of Roon.
Not because I wanted it...
It was because the property damage I caused by destroying the formation of the lands were put the blame unto them by their own people.

In order to distract them, they gave me such a title to sooth them.
Not only THAT!
If I refuse... all my companion's lives will become forfeit.
They used them as a hostage after the bastards hired us.

Ah... I really want to go away.
I really want to stop being a noble.
This life sucks!

But to add to my problems.
These bastards sent me this ridiculously capable soldier that captured me the moment I tried to escaped. He is keeping a close eye on me every-day like some hawk.
Ready to stab me behind my back.
Not only that he always wear that ridiculous mask and have the same dark color as my hair.

He is now my butler that keeps trailing me from behind.

Then... this idiot from Carona came out want's me to marry him to defend their home.
I gave him an instant refusal, even if he showed me a gigantic diamond.

[There is no way I'm going back to war with you noble ^#@$#%!?]

[I nearly lost my life damn it!,
That war was so freaking stupid that I don't wanna go back there again.

Also, it's their damn fault they hired me anyway!
Why do we have to pay for the damage we used against their enemies!]

But after a few weeks of staying here.
I finally got fed up with all these nobles coming to talk to me,
about marriage and things about honor.

Technically it's very mind-grating when you don't care about those things.
I went to the greenhouse to slip away from my guard and the people around me.
But then... found a strange scene.

A small maid and a tiny dragon...
I swiftly hid behind the bushes to pry on them.
Sadly my ear's couldn't hear what they were talking about...
But the moment they were finished.
The dragon slithered to her shoulders as it turned into an armlet!

[Am I hallucinating?] I then blinked many times.

She then proceeded to go to a strangely cushioned bench and rested there.
Covering herself with a blanket that was in it, then soundly slept like a log.
Her expression had a happy, fuzzy and relaxed expression on it.

[Eh... somehow this feels soothing.] Just by simply watching her.

[I want to take her back home...] Were what she desired most

[What the heck is that maid doing in this greenhouse!] were what puzzled her the most.

"Did you intend to slip away from me again?
Miss Chelsie?" he menacingly said behind me.

"No... I just wanted to relax in this greenhouse!"

This jerk in front of me then glanced at the young maid beside me.
"Ho... That's quite a sight.
Must be what the students here call the Owl's Maid." he said with curiosity.

"Though it is quite relaxing for someone to be sleeping soundly like this,"

"Very well then..." as he leniently agreed to my demand.
I then approached the maid, there was a table with a tea set near her.
Noticing an open chair I sat there and calmly watched her sleep.

//I've just brought hell to her life. I'm sorry.//

My guard on the other hand...

Ruthlessly...

Pulled out a whip.

Then lashed it to the floor beside her.

Waking her like a cat that just got doused by water!?
"Wha-what's going on!?" the poor girl cried out.
She woke up trembling from shock.

"You call yourself a servant!
What kind of maid, slack-off in mid-day!
At least serve my master you trash!" he said ruthlessly with malice.
As he continued to scold her in a panic she followed his commands without question.

"Ye-yes!" She cried out.

The young maid swiftly dashed to grab the teapot as she pulled out a bag placing it inside it.
Then placed the pot on the portable heater then lit it.
The scent of tea swiftly covered the area.

But that wasn't the end of it.

"Start cleaning, this place is a mess!" He shouted at her with dominance as she followed her instruction without pause.

"Yes!"

"Water those plants it's beginning to wilt!"

"Yes!"

"My shoes are dirty start wiping them!"

"Yes!"

"The Tea is almost finished get ready to serve my master!"

"YES!"

For some reason...
I felt guilty.
looks like I just brought hell to this young maid and she was soundly sleeping just now.

*Sniff* *Sniff*
"I'm sowwie...
For slacking off..."
*Sniff*

With her teary face, my ridiculous guard lashed another whip beside her.

"hii!"

"If I see you slacking off again.
I'll make sure your master will hear of it.
Got it!"

"Ye-yes! Uhuh...."

Ah... even her crying face looks adorable.
I want to bring her home.

"Whose maid is she?" I asked.

"You're not familiar with the owl?" he asked.
I shooked my head in response.

"She's regarded as the most eligible partners here.
But unlike you, she's one of the most ruthless ones."

"Why exactly is she ruthless?"

"She publicly shamed her own brother after he tried to...
Ehem... picked a fight with her during a party.
Though I don't know why she brought such an unsightly maid!"

Estel had a teary face while standing and shaking in front of her guard.
She tried to talk to him many times but the pressure he exercised was too much for her to handle. In the end, she simply wasn't able at least to say a word in fear of the whip he held.

//Adoption.//

"Can... can I adopt her?" she asked her guard.

"Ho... what an interesting idea.
She can clearly move elegantly enough.
That I can make her a fine servant if you wish." he said with a wide smile.

Estel bit her lips as it trembled from the two people in front of her.
Unknown to her of who they were.
She finally had enough and decided to finally run away from them.

"I don't want to deal with this anymore!" She cried out.
Then proceed to cry while running from the two.
"Uuuwaaaah!"

He cracked his whip striking the floor in an attempt to stop her
but it merely angered her as she retorts in response.
By pointing her finger at the whip and the person holding it.
『Bind』

The whip fell to the ground lifelessly as he too was dragged to the floor.
The abnormal weight left him in confusion.

But as she left the door, the weight he felt was gone.

Chelsie then simply gave a wry smile as she thought.
[Was that magic just now? but still...
Even I don't want to deal with this spartan of a guard of mine.]
She glanced at her guard wearing a mask then exhaled deeply while staring downward.

Her guard simply said.
"Tch!" He clicked his tongue.
"As expected of her maid.
To think she could use magic."

"Well, you just forcibly made her work for us." she calmly said while drinking the tea she made.

"Wow... I never tasted tea like this?" in a surprised gaze, she reached her cup to him.

As he took a sip.
His eyes then opened wide.
"What a delicious taste..." He smiled in surprise.

"You were being too forceful," she complained to him.

"That maid deserved it.
But still...
Even the way she ran.
It had an elegant posture to it.
Somehow I really want to bring her home with us." he licked his lips as he said.

Chelsie simply showed a bitter smile.
[Ah... on second thought, nevermind.
I don't want to make such a cute maid like her get bullied by this bastard.]

//Estel's Woe's.//

[What the flying #!&@^! was wrong with those people!] she cried out in her thoughts.

Estel rushed to the rooftops of the academy after her encounter with the two.
Hiding from both people and mourning for the loss of her peaceful area.

"You could have just easily dealt with that man.
You know?" the armlet complained to her.

"If I did such a thing and Leanne heard it.
What do you think will happen?"

The armlet shuddered a bit in her arm.
"Indeed that human is formidable.
It would be much wiser to just fly away from this place, Instead."

The thought of flying gave her goosebumps.
"Please don't mention something crazy like that.
I rather not toy around with death and heights ever again."

It then retorts to her as it groaned.
"What kind of dragon is afraid of heights?"
"The kind of dragon that has legs and prefers to stay closer to the ground!"

She then looked at the blue sky in front of her.
"Damn it, Jake was better than those jerks." As she thought of him.
she then asked her armlet.

"Tell me... what exactly was his curse?"

"How should I know...
There are many types of curses in this world." as it retorts its honest opinion.

"I... see..."

Estel has moved herself to the roof of the building where they once hid.
There was no table or bench nor tea-set.
As she returned to her sleezy life-style lying in the ground waiting for time to pass by.
She could only...

At that moment.

Groan...

"Ugh, my back hurts."
