"big brother!!"
"Hey, Alici-gouah..!!"
What...
What a painful reunion...
She just headbutts me right on my stomach!
"Big brother I miss you ..."
"E..Em... I also.. miss. You."
My stomach still hurts.
I think ignoring bad feelings is a really bad idea after all.
"Oh, Ray you already got home?"
"Yes mother, I got here just now."
"I'm glad you got here safely. Your father is upstairs waiting for you. you better greet him."
"Yes, I'll do just that."
She is lady Iris. Alicia's mother and also my foster parents.
It's not a secret that I am in fact is an adopted son. If I remember it correctly Sir Alex, lady Iris husband, Found me on a broken carriage that had been attacked by a group of monsters.
You could say that the fact I even survive is some kind of a miracle.
That also explains the reason for why, as a person who lives in the north. I have dark-colored hair and eyes. Which is rare for people from the north region.
Well, excluding me. Everyone in this family has generally bright hair. Alicia sharing lady Iris's look has a bright blonde almost yellowish color hair. Meanwhile, Sir Alex has a bright brown with almost reddish color hair.
I kinda jealous of their beautiful bright blue eyes but, hey it's not like I can just pull them off and wear them as if it's mine, so yeah I just accepted my appearance as I am now.
----------
"So how is it? Life on the capital."
Sir Alex asks me while sitting on his favorite chair.
"Well, it is harder from what I initially thought. But, somehow I'm able to manage."
"Is that so? I see."
"Actually... Father, how is the condition around here? When I was in the capital I often heard that monster attacking field is something that happened often. Is our village have a stable food supply ?"
I ask him casually.
"You didn't need to worry about the village. I'm this village guild master. I'm also the one that you can trust the most right?"
"Yeah."
"So, when are you gonna start?"
"As soon as possible. But, before that, I need to know what people need the most right now.
As you can see materials are a hard thing to get, the northern mine is the only place where I can get iron. Yet it is still filled with monsters casually roaming around."
"The material shortage is that bad even in the capital huh? Well, I believe we can find a way. As for now, what about you take a rest?"
"Nah, I'm good. I think I'm gonna take a walk for a bit. After all, that time sitting in the wooden carriage. I want to move around a little bit."
"I see, take care then."
"Yeah."
With that, I'm leaving my father's office. And head to my room to store the luggage that I carry.

If this really ends up being a story about a system blacksmith actually doing some damned blacksmithing I will be pumped. It gets so tiring seeing stories with some kind of craft in the title and then 99% of the story has nothing to do with the craft and everything to do with the save the world bullshit.
I agree whole heartedly. Did it end up being so?
@Mwpensword Nope. The system stops existing and while he does seem to focus on smithing it’s poorly written.
@Davidmcnasty well, blacksmithing was more my interest than a system. Just how bad is bad?
@Mwpensword it depends, on how many brain cells you are willing to lose, reading something that felt like machine translation. Hehe~
To be frank tho, this is not supposed to be a documentary of blacksmithing. This is a story about the life of one certain blacksmith.
And for that "system", that is just an excuse. The rest is just reasoning for why.
There is a shift in focus and that "system" is not what I wanted to focus on from the start. I probably would come back to it from now and then.
And why it's badly written?
First, For the first 20 chapters, I wrote it on the day it was released (I release chapter daily at that time).
Second, I'm not a native English speaker. My vocabulary is rather limited and this novel is a good opportunity to explore and expand my vocabulary.
I'm still trying to make this story, not a boring one.
So, thank you for reading my story.
