It's a peaceful day.

I was sitting in the guild's front room and drinking warm tea.

You know, enjoying life.

"Ahh, what a great day..."

It was at this moment where someone entering from the front door and come to greet me.

"Yo, Ray. You seem free. What about doing me a favor?

" Hoho... if it isn't Ben. What's up?"

Ben is an old friend of mine who got the job as a farmer the same day I got a job as a blacksmith.

"The thing is, my field got attacked by a monster a while ago."

"Is your family all right ?"

"No one is injured. But, the thing is, that monster ruined a good amount of the plant.

So, yeah. You could say that this year we have a bad harvest."

"I see. So what are you gonna do? You can't sell this year's harvest for money, right? "

"Yeah, the supply just won't be enough for my family if I decide to sell the harvest. That's why I need your favor."

"I see. So, what do you need ?"

"So. Here's the plan, the day after tomorrow I'm gonna go to the forest near the mountain in the northwest. I'm gonna hunt for meat together with some people."

"I see, then?"

"We gonna hunt the easiest meat."

"And what meat is that?"

"A.....mountain.... bear...."

"Really? you gonna hunt an apex predator of the area? 

Even if they are still hibernating, your first attack will wake that beast you know. It is impossible to kill that beast with only one strike without magical weapons.

Do you realize what kind of danger it is?"

"Of course I know that."

"....."

"This is where you came to the picture. I need you to create a chain that could restraint that beast until we can kill it."

"Magic chain, huh?"

"Yup"

"Ha...

I see, but you still need to pay me you know?"

"I'll pay, of course. But, just give me time till the next harvest. For now, what about this one big silver coins for the upfront payment?"

"Just pay me next harvest, I didn't need money just yet, more so if it's money from people in a tight spot. 

I will see what I can do."

"Really!? Thanks, Ray."

After saying that he left in a rush. Maybe after confirming that, I will create the magic chain. He finally can prepare his weapon for the hunt. Or that he will inform the other participants who will join the hunt that the plan is already ongoing.

Well, with that I have my first customer so I better think about what I gonna do.

He probably realizes that it is outrageous to ask for a magical item from scratch, in the span of a 2 days.  

"Well, at least he knew that I still need time to create something."

For amateur blacksmiths the first few jobs usually the hardest ones. In this field of business, the first impression is really important you know.

After you got the "loyal customer" it will be as easy as walk in the park. The order will come by itself.

"Okay time to get to work."

I drink my tea and prepare my horse. 

I will go to the neighboring town half a day from here.

The plan is to get some already made chain then just reinforced it myself. That way I could save a lot of time in the making and use it to reinforce the chain with magic.

With that in mind, I go to the neighboring city northeast from here.
