After a short while, I soon arrived inside the school dressed in the white one-piece that was given to me. I stood out like a stone inside a diamond mine, new faces and old faces looked at me with weird glances though no males even batted an eye.

“Ayumi,” a voice called out from behind as I turned around before a dark-blue short-haired girl with blue eyes stood there dressed in the same white scholarly uniform as the one Mana wears. She had no staff on her hand and only carried a black kitty.

“Excuse me?” I tilted my head before she chuckled, touching her hair before ripping it off as her hair turned silver, white like crystals. Her eyes turned brown as a smile blossomed on her face.

“I forgot to introduce myself, I am Iris Yurisel. I work as a headteacher of the assassin subject of this school,” she chuckled as her hair grew up to shoulder height with her black kitty waking up and jumping to her shoulder like a turret staring at me.

“Uhh… is there anything I can help you with?” I asked before she shook her head, responding. “There wasn’t any need, I was only told to check whether you are qualified to participate in the next event. It seems like that Seele’s eyes never go blind.”

“Well, you should meet the headmaster soon. She has one present for you,” she winked before turning around as her figure vanished out of thin air like dust. It was one weird meeting; I couldn’t even comprehend the reasoning, but I decided to shrug it off as I continued walking towards the headmaster’s office.

After a short while of walking, I soon arrived before a large white door with a twin silver dragon engraving, knocking on the door as it slowly opened before the headmaster could be seen, sitting down on her table with a smile.

Immediately, all alarms inside my head rang as I created several mana daggers in an instant, throwing them one by one towards her direction as her figure vanished causing me to shiver as I quickly took out the matte black dagger from my waist pocket, slashing forward as her figure reappeared but this time with a dagger on her hand, clashing with mine.

“You did well reacting as fast as you could, as expected of my student!” she laughed before jumping as I pushed myself backward, stabilizing myself before launching a kick towards my original position as her figure descended down at the exact spot but where my foot landed was on her right arm.

“How about this…” I mumbled, retracting my foot as I opened up the terminal using only my mind before a window popped up asking for my input. A millisecond had passed since I first mumbled, and the headmaster’s figure vanished once more.

“Eclipse!” I screamed before the word ‘eclipse’ appeared on the terminal as a black foggy dagger appeared on my hand along with the drastic drop of my mana points; each millisecond cost me about fifteen points.

Without hesitation, I swung the dagger forward before a tremendous black slash flew forward, demolishing all the windows as gusts of wind exploded, creating slashes all around the hallway as the headmaster’s figure reappeared with her dress grazed with slashes.

After a while, the gusts of winds dissipated as the headmaster dropped on the floor with her hand resting as she laughed, “As expected! I can’t defeat that the once weak girl could stop my assault within a few seconds is unimaginable!”

“And so, why did you call for Mana and me?” I asked while flicking my hand as the foggy black dagger on my hand flew up, vanishing out of thin air before I placed the matte black dagger on my waist pocket as I sat down.

“Well, I have an interesting gift for the two of you but that is under the condition the two of you will participate in this event,” she said before standing up as she gestured me to follow before the two of us started walking towards the inside of her office.

Her office was like a presidential office, there were paintings of her and Estelle at some places, paintings of the former headmaster and the former vice-headmaster, and so forth. There was even a trophy of a dragon made in gold with supreme detailed scales and many more.

“Here, I had Juris and her fellow blacksmith make this for the two of you,” she said before taking out a white dress that had blue accents all around, two straps that went from the right shoulder and down to the left shoulder, and a left shoulder cape that was divided into four parts.

It was an amazing outfit that matched the description Kayla said, not only that but there were visible engravings that seemed to cover the dress. The engravings were made out of thin black metal with the belt being of the same material.

The skirt, in particular, looked flexible, and it seemed to be double layered with the first layer being the majority being white and the second layer being imperial blue; there were several gemstones embedded on the center of the V-neck, on both shoulders and one at the belt.

“It looks cool right?” she asked as I nodded with my eyes filled with shock. “That’s not only the best part, but the best part of this is also the functions it contains. The outfit can act as a mana reservoir which you can use in cases when you run out of mana.”

“Not to mention, the entire armor is made with two materials specifically, Celestial Stone and Celestial Winter Stone which are both super mana-efficient and compatible, highly durable while being light; the belt can act as a place to hide or sheath your daggers since they are embedded with enhancements that bends lights around items placed there.”

“To add, the outfit has certain boost enhancements such as agility, strength, and endurance which is recommended for us dagger-users. Lastly, the outfit itself has another layer of protection which comes from its thick mana reservoir that activates when it senses the wearer is in danger,” she said in a proud and excited voice.

All of those sounded a bit insane for me, almost like an overpowered outfit meant for heading to wars rather than a tournament. It felt wasted on me, but all those effects and specifications really make me drool especially the boost enhancements since they cost in total around half a thousand gold coins for two…

“I am sure interested over it… but what are the conditions?” I asked before she smiled as she pointed at the calendar that was hanging on the wall with the drawing of a badge of the Queenshelm clan.

“I want you to participate in this event as a member of the Queenshelm clan since the clan has been too inactive these past years that even my master felt disgusted at me…” she smiled mockingly while looking at me.

“Well, to add… it seems like people are thinking less of the Queenshelm clan, especially those of foreign and have been thinking they can overwhelm us like ants which is why I want you to prove them wrong by defeating the four kingdoms’ participants of this year’s event!” she said with excitement.

Can’t you do that yourself… I really wanted to ask but I already knew she will prepare an excuse anyway, though what would happen if I were to reject?

“What if I were to reject?” I asked before her face went pale.

“Uh…. I didn’t think you would…” she said sweating nervously as I sighed. Well, if I were to reject… I might lose my main source of income that has been keeping me alive for the entire time, I guess it would be bad to reject.

“Well, no worries… I will accept though I won’t let Mana participate,” I replied before she looked at me, noddingly.

“I understand… well, the chances of them having an opponent capable of beating you is close to negative. You don’t have to worry about that, though remember, you will be facing their best fighters which is why you shouldn’t take this lightly,” she said as I nodded a bit before she walked towards me and handed me the outfit.

“Well then! The event will take place in a week from now, be sure to free up your schedule for two days next week otherwise we’d be damned…!” she said before out of the blue a loud shout came from behind as I looked behind before a knife-wielding Estelle stood there.

“Aurora… and Ayumi… what mess did you two make this time?! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD THE TWO OF YOU TO NOT DESTROY THE HALLWAY!!!” she shouted as shivers ran through my spine as I happily took the outfit and jumped off the window as the headmaster’s screams could be heard echoing throughout the area.

“AYUMI! DON’T ESCAPE!” Estelle’s voice echoed as the screams of the headmaster reverberated around the entire school.
