*Swoosh!* Moving at their fastest speed, the group of 4 soon found themselves in front of a large mountain range.

“It’s around here?” Qian Yu asked as he saw the dozens of snowy mountain peaks spanned the distance with little distinction between them.

“Yes, it should be one of these peaks,” Sun Hong said before she closed her eyes, trying to remember the exact details.

“Follow me,” Sun Hong started running forward towards one of the nearby mountains.

Seeing her move, the other three followed her.

Yet as Sun Hong reached the base of a mountain, she jumped and instead of falling down, she flew towards the top of the mountain. Taking a few minutes to look around, she then flew towards another mountain.

After checking over a dozen mountains, she finally signaled at them from atop, “This one!”

Seeing her enthusiasm, Qian Yu and the rest quickly climbed up the mountain, reaching Sun Hong. There was a large ledge on the mountain and a large rock was abnormally engraved into the mountain in one area. It wasn’t noticeable unless one was up close and actively looking for something amiss.

“Alright, it should be in there,” Sun Hong pointed her sword at the large rock in the mountain.

*Bam!* She swung at it with her sword breaking the rock and as the rubble subsided, a small cave was seen.

Lighting a torch, they entered the cave. Rather, than a cave though, it was more fit to be called a hole.

“Did it get stolen?” Qian Yu looked around, seeing nothing was there.

“Should be related to this,” Sun Hong said as she pointed at the ground. On the cavern ground, there was a large circle with many complex but very faint lines and symbols.

“A teleport formation?” Qian Yu lowered the torch and saw the formation.

“Yeah. Shall we go?” Sun Hong replied as she took out a few spirit stones and put them on the ground.

“Of course,” Qian Yu nodded. While it could be dangerous, it was likely not the case. Even so, they could go with Sun Hong and help her if needed.

“I’ll activate it,” channelling her qi, she activated her cultivation technique and released her red qi.

Feeling the red qi nearby, the formation started glowing as it sucked in the energy and before long, it absorbed the energy of the spirit stones as well.

*Zip!* Glowing brighter and brighter, the four people disappeared.

As the bright light disappeared, everyone opened their eyes as they checked out their new surroundings. Notably, everyone felt it was colder as well.

Unlike the simple hole before, what appeared before them was a magnificent and large ice cavern. In front of them, there was a large hallway filled with countless ice statues of various spiritual beasts. At the end of the hall, a large throne and table made of ice sat there.

“It’s like a palace made of ice,” Zhen Yue said in awe as she took out some more clothes to put on.

“Yeah, this place is really pretty. I’ve never heard of anything like this,” Zhao Xieren said.

“The inheritance must be over there!” Qian Yu said as he pointed towards the throne and table. On the table, a greatsword was laying there.

Walking towards it, the group walked up the stairs as they arrived in front of the table as they observed the large sword.

Just from looking at it, one couldn’t help but feel it wasn’t the average sword. It was a sword with a dark red blade while the handle had a simple design. Despite that, it still retained it’s sharp luster and even moreso, the aura of death even with so many years passing by. Clearly, this weapon reaped numerous lives during its prime.

As they finished staring at the sword, Sun Hong went forward and reached towards it before grabbing it. Yet the moment she touched it, a surge of red qi burst out flinging Sun Hong back.

*Thomp!* Sun Hong crashed into a nearby wall as she fell down.

“I should have expected that,” Of course, that didn’t harm her at all as she got back up and started walking back to the sword.

Running over, Qian Yu checked that she was fine before asking, “There’s a protection or seal on it?”

“Indeed, my master sealed the sword as a way to protect it, otherwise, if some random person came here, they could retrieve it. It’s not a problem though as she made it a simple seal that only someone with this cultivation technique can unseal,” Sun Hong wasn’t too bothered as she circulated the qi in her body and channeled the qi into her hands. Like before, red qi from the sword attempted to repel Sun Hong but nonetheless it couldn’t as Sun Hong’s hand slowly crept forward.

Finally, she managed to get a hold of it as the surge of red qi disappeared. Closing her eyes, Sun Hong focused as she quickly neutralized the seal. As the seal was removed, its previously notable aura only grew stronger.

“Wow…” Qian Yu and the two girls were speechless as they felt the change in the sword.

After a few seconds, Qian Yu simply smiled as he said, “Congratulations.” Without a doubt, this would be a huge increase in her strength.

“Mhm, this should be the legendary grade weapon that my master used when she was alive,” Sun Hong said.

“HUH?” Hearing her comment, the other three yelled as there were feelings of shock and excitement.

Getting closer, the three of them started salivating over the sword that was created from numerous precious metals and top tier beast cores.

“Did it suddenly turn shinier and more domineering?” Qian Yu couldn’t help but feel as he looked at it in a new light now.

*Swooosh!* At that moment, a red light bursted out from the sword.

*Clang!* The large sword dropped as everyone backed off from it.

A transparent figure had appeared by the fallen sword. She had bright red hair, contrasting that of Sun Hong’s darker one, tied in a ponytail. Her clothing was simple and similar to the basic black rogue cultivator clothes but her aura felt nothing so humble.

“Master!” Before anyone could say anything, Sun Hong had immediately bowed. As she stared at the figure, her eyes were full of awe and respect.

“Mm…” Sun Hong’s master acknowledged her.

After a few seconds, she asked, “Unfortunately, it is impossible for me to connect all the memories of the remnant souls I have split off. What is your name?”

“Disciple is named Sun Hong,” Sun Hong answered.

“Sun Hong… I see that you’ve reached Martial Fighter. Good job…” Sun Hong’s master trailed off.

Before long, the two started talking, mainly about Sun Hong’s growth and strength. By the side, the three bystanders silently observed the two. Looking at Sun Hong happily chatting with her master, he couldn’t help but smile as well. Unlike him who met his master recently, she had met her master about a decade ago.

An hour passed before the two finished their discussion. As they returned their attention to Qian Yu and the two girls, a surprised expression appeared on Sun Hong’s master who had been mostly stoic while talking to Sun Hong, “You are Tian Wei’s successor?”

“Y- Senior, you know my master?” Qian Yu was taken back as he heard his master’s name. Inwardly, he suddenly felt the urge to ask her about his master.

“No need to be so formal, my name is Xue Ru, but yes, we indeed go a long way back,” a nostalgic countenance appeared on her face.

“Sigh… it’s all in the past,” she shook her head. “When did you meet him?” she continued.

“I met my master less than a year ago,” Qian Yu answered.

“Alright, that’s fine then. In the future, your growth will be one of the fastest due to your body and its innate affinity with the technique,” she replied.

Yet before Qian Yu could ask anything about his master, he suddenly saw that she was visibility disappearing. “Unfortunately, this remnant of my soul doesn’t have much energy left,” Xue Ru said.

“Goodbye Master,” Sun Hong bowed towards Xue Ru as she faded away.

“I didn’t know our masters knew each other,” Qian Yu walked up to Sun Hong putting his hand on her shoulder.

“Yeah…” Sun Hong was a little sad that she didn’t have that much time to talk with her master.

“Alright, let’s go take a look outside,” Qian Yu said in an attempt to cheer her up.

Bringing everyone past the teleport formation, they arrived at the entrance of the ice palace. Once again, they were at the top of the mountain. However, it was much taller than the previous mountains. Looking outside, a gorgeous view of the white continent was seen. A few birds flew across the sky as they disappeared behind other smaller mountains. Blanketed everywhere was snow yet scarce as they were, trees could be seen occasionally. Turning around, they saw the vast blue ocean with glacials appearing at the horizon.

Silently, everyone enjoyed the beautiful scenery. With Sun Hong finding her master’s inheritance, it was time to return.
