It has now been around 3 months since I was born. Using the System Access that was granted to me, I have been constantly leveling up my skills. Apparently, similarly to all those light novels, to level up you need to kill monsters but leveling up skills is easier and can be done by repeated actions, it is especially easy for me, thanks to my ridiculously monstrous status.

I’ve been constantly training my magic using the knowledge I gained from the System. I would also train other skills but it would obviously be strange if a baby starts using a bow, no? With magic, it is relatively easy to hide it.
I’ve also been attempting to gain [Sleep Resistance]. Apparently, it is a relatively easy skill to gain for my race, however, I’ve always been a bit of a lazy person so it is harder for me.
Also… my older sister seems to really love me… but it is a bit annoying. You see she constantly comes to check up on me. Which is quite annoying when training magic. I’ve learned it’s better to act tired till she leaves. I hope she doesn’t find me out…
Regarding education - Apparently, in this world, at least in this country, basic education begins at 4 years of age - this basic education is usually done at home, kind of like passing knowledge from generation to generation. At 10 years of age you can go to an Academy. There are 3 academies:
- First Academy - The academy where the highest talents across the nation gather. Sadly, since a lot of the talents are nobles, this academy is also the most annoying.
- Second Academy - The academy where the “average” talents gather. Half nobles, Half commoners, quite a normal academy.
- Last Academy - It’s even called last, which is kind of sad. To put it simply - talents below average gather here and the teachers and equipment are quite bad.
From what I’ve gathered, when you get baptized, depending on your status you get to choose an academy. The higher your talent and status, the higher academy you can choose. So for example, someone who has the talent to go to the First Academy could also go to the Second and Last.
I think, in the future, I will aim for the Second Academy. The First sounds quite fun but I think I’ll end up getting annoyed at nobles. Especially since I am a girl now. Knowing my status, a lot of people will want to marry me… You see, although I am a girl, I will still aim for any boy's dream… A HAREM FULL OF GIRLS. I’d like to stay away from nobles as much as possible for that.
[DING! New Title has been granted:”Hardworker”.]
Oh? While training I suddenly got a new title?
[Hardworker] - Your efforts have been recognized by the world. Earning skills becomes easier.
Effects:
- Leveling up and learning new skills becomes slightly easier. Effects vary from person to person.
…
Of course, that’s what I needed…. Sigh.
Anyways, as I said before - at 5 months of age we have a baptism. This baptism will determine our future academy choices.
I am currently 3 months of age, meaning I still have at least 2 months to train before such an event. I’ll also probably end up using the disguise-type skill to hide my status… I mean, I also want to flex with my status but I’m afraid I’ll end up getting treated as a monster?
Now, using the system I’ve learned quite a bit about this world and its history.
Let’s start with Geography.
I am currently in the south part of the Oston Federation. Although it is called a federation it is not actually a federation. It is a full blown fantasy-type monarchy with nobles, royalty, and the like. About 300-years ago during the Great Human Wars. It became a country because a bunch of smaller countries combined under one flag thanks to the person they now call ‘The First King of Oston’ and ‘Hero’.
We can be called Rank #2 as far as military power goes. Although we are relatively smaller, we are in the center of the continent and many people are known to travel through here. It is also widely accepted that the Oston Federation has the most talents each generation.
To the North is a giant mountain range, which separates us from The Empire of Leshia. Another monarchy but more towards the dictatorship side. It is the dominant military superpower on this continent.
To the east are Asnen and Meglica Kingdom. Meglica Kingdom is a navy-type military superpower, but can still be called number three on the continent.
Asnen can be said to be the biggest supplier of magic stones. So much so that whichever country tried attacking them would end up becoming an enemy of almost every country because all countries rely on their magic stones. Some more than others.
BTW, if you want to ask about magic stones, then here is what the System says.
[Magic Stone] - A manifestation of magic power, forming a physical object. This physical object can be used to extract and store magic power. The amount of storage and supply varies depending on rank. These stones can be obtained from magic-rich mines and monsters.
South-East from us is the States of Shiana. Which is known for their agriculture but they are not known for their military power. We are in a 200-year and going deal with them where we provide them protection and in exchange, they give us some of their agriculture.
South from the Federation is the Balmar Kingdom. It is another smaller country but focuses largely on magic. Whereas Oston is known to have the most talents per generation, Balmor can be said to have the most magic scholars per generation. They are widely accepted to be the best in magic. Warring with them is thus quite difficult for each country, ending in it becoming an independent country.
West of us is the Cleyra Knight Kingdom, which, like the name says, focuses on the honor of martial arts and knighthood. They are widely known for their martial arts competition, which is hosted once a decade, whose winners end up becoming important, era-defining people.
West of the Cleyra Kingdom is the Acana Kingdom. The Acana Kingdom is the leading Kingdom when it comes to what could be referred to as science in this world. They are leaders in alchemy, constructions and finding alternatives to magic. This can largely be said to be because their kingdom has not been blessed by magic-users. They have always been unlucky with that, even magic-stones can be said to be relatively rare there.
North-East from us, East from The Empire of Leshia, on an island, is also the Artosem Kingdom, but not much is known about them. If this world follows the typical fantasy-cliches then most likely it will end up having a Japanese-type culture.
Anyways, for the past 300-years, there have been no major world-changing wars. But, again, if fantasy-novels have taught me anything, then the biggest Empire will end up making a move soon.
Also, looking at the System, there appear to be mentions of another continent, but I do not currently have high-enough access to learn about it.
Culture-wise, this world, largely at least, is not much different from medieval-age Europe, except a bit more advanced thanks to the use of magic which makes things easier. I am kind of interested in how far the Acana Kingdom has gotten with its sciences though.
Also, it appears that on this continent at least, everyone speaks one of the two languages:
- Human Common Language - The language spoken by all humans. (Spoken by ~89%)
- Ancient Language - The language that can be called the combination of all languages, is not that commonly used anymore. (Spoken by ~11%)
The Human Common Language is also what my mother and father use to talk about, but it appears that most people do not know how to write in it, although they do know how to read. I wonder how that works? How do you know how to read but not write?
Luckily, my parents appear to know how to write, mainly because it ended up being necessary as S-rank adventurers.
Alright, I think I’ll keep training till my baptism in magic. I’d also like to start learning physical skills once I reach 1 year of age.
its alright for a start but info dumps like this is not the best thing to do from a world building perspective on the other hand its still better than anything i would try to write so keep up the good work
I'm liking this so far. Not enough Gender Freak Out, but maybe He actually wanted to be She, and now it just feels right. Keep going.
Hey just checking? Are you going to be updating this?

Buen capítulo para introducir el mundo y que padre que pensaste en un mapa ya que eso hace más fácil imaginar cómo está formado el mundo y una localización más precisa de los lugares
