Chapter 19- The Truth Hurts!

With our mission complete, we returned back to the castle, Bellamei was waiting for us, with that same sickly sweet smile...

"Well done, my heroes, you have done well, you are one step closer to...."

I cut her off, "Save it! we know the truth now!

Kyo pointed a claw at the goddess, "You fucking lied to us!"

I continued, "Milas told me everything, the Demon King has been dead for years, you just summoned us to get revenge!"

"I see Milas told you the truth, a little bit earlier than i'd like, but at least i can stop lying, yes, the Demon King has been dead for sometime now, Bellamei spoke, "only a few smaller factions remain, but not enough to be legitimate threat, Alex, whatever Milas told you is not the complete truth, yes, i summoned you to get back at my siblings, but they betrayed me, i did my best to care for this world, but it was never good enough for them."

"You started civil war! using the summoned heroes as disposable pawns!" cried Mari.

"Yes, many of them died, but they chose to fight for me, i never forced them!" Bellamei said, trying to spin this.

"ENOUGH!!!"

I knew that voice anywhere, it was Milas, standing behind us was indeed the giant black fox.

"Whoa...Alex wasn't kidding." Kyo said.

"Milas...." Bellamei growled.

"The lies end Bellamei." Milas said sternly, "We had exiled you here so you could learn what it meant to human, for you to walk a mile in their shoes, and understand that you were taking innocent people from their homes by using the Hero Summoning Spell, it was only to be used in extreme emergencies, but you had be tearing people away from their homes just for them to aid you in your revenge!" Milas roared, "But i can see this was a mistake, i told the others that you would never learn your lesson."

"What are you going to do brother, like you said, there's no way for them to return home." Bellamei said.

"Well, that's not entirely true..." Milas said.

Mari picked up on this...

"There is one known way, but it's a gamble, the Elven Empire have been advancing in technology, specificly in Interdimensional Travel, perhaps they had made a breakthrough." Milas said.

"We have to try!" Mari said, me and Kyo were unsure....

"NO!" shouted Bellamei, a dark black aura surrounding her, "You lot are MINE!!! i summoned you, you belong to ME!!!"

she charged right at us, but my Ultimate Slime Sheild blocked her, not even a goddess, could touch us.

"Alex, you know all that shit i said about you Slime Magic? i take it all back.." Kyo said, removing the sweat from her forehead.

"They belong to themselves!" snapped Milas, he turned to us and smiled, "Go heroes, get to the Elven Empire, the mark on Alex's forehead will ensure your sucess!"

With a wave of one his tails, we vanished in an orb of bright light!

In a matter of secconds! the 6 of us found ourselves outside the Kingdom of Terracrest.

"What do we do now?" asked Tessa.

"We go to the Elven Empire, speak to the Elves and get Mari home." i said.

"Alex..." she said quietly.

"Mari, i told you, i have no desire to return to our world..." i said flatly.

"Sorry Sis, but i'm staying here too." Kyo said.

Mari hung her head, there was no convincing us...

With a destination in mind, we make our way to the Elven Empire...
