Eh this is the last?? why?? you won't feed us to the demons right?? There's no kid named emma here right? 

Just kidding hahaha, They must really be in a crisis... I hope I could help somehow

But I can't help if I don't know the problem right?? 

So well start the operation: find out the problem and save the orphanage!–

That's the plan but... “Isn't it obvious what the problem is?” 

I said to myself as I stare at the buildings of this city,

“So people are leaving making the city a ghost town...”

Makes sense, if there's no merchant there's no food

“That's right... The lord of the city has ran away and people are migrating to the other cities” 

Said sister Collette behind me... Normally i would be shocked because of her suddenly appearing out of nowhere but in this ghost town, once presence can be easily discovered 

“But for what reason?? According to my observations excluding the orphanage there's less that 20 people left here and most of them are guards” 

I don't really get it... this city is obviously beautiful, with its building architecture and all

“You don't know?? the monsters are getting active lately because of the rumored first demon lord's return and according to the soldiers a goblin king was spotted at the nearby forest” 

So that explains why a lot of goblins appeared near my home... but even so

“Isn't this city part of the capital? If so why don't they send some soldiers?”

“Pu–! Hahahahaha!!” Collette only answered with a laugh

Did I say something strange? 

“You really don't know anything do you?? come here Onee-san will teach you things” 

Saying so Collette got inside the church and I followed

“You see this thing here? this is the map of the altria continentm...” 

After a while of explaining I finally understood what she meant

the continent is divided into three Demon Lord castle at the top, Badlands at the middle and demi-human's kingdoms at the bottom

The place we're located in now is the eastern part of the badlands, and as the name says this badlands has tons of dangerous monsters and harsh living conditions, even so this place is the home for most dungeons that contains treasures making it an adventurers haven. 

And because of that many city states like this one are being founded and destroyed by the monsters, surviving city states however will become rich as hell because of the influx of adventurers and merchants 

I also asked why is an orphanage here at this kind of place and her answer is Most of the kids here are child of a prostitute or abandoned children and because no one would take them, this small church volunteered 

But why did they stay here even if a monster horde was near?? It's because most caravans won't take children with them on a long trip in badlands and the church don't have enough money... 

Deym I want to kill that greedy merchants but I'll persevere because the lord is the one truly at fault for just leaving the kids here

“Is that all?? no more questions?” 

Collette asked

“Last one, what If I subjugate the goblin king and took the city for myself?” 

If I could get this city, I will be able to live more comfortably

“Of course, this city is deserted anyways so no one would disagree if you saved it, the villagers would even be happy” 

I see... 

“Wait, don't tell me you'll seriously go to the nest of the goblins.. Hey seriously don't do that.”

... 

“Hey Tia-san are you still there??” 

... 

“Eeeeeh?? Tia-san doko?!”

Author: Eyy!! Is one chapter per day fine for you?? 

I can't write two chapters of this a day because I'm also writing a chapter in my other story titled, MMORPG: Nostalgia Online, K hope you can understand 

Also is my novel fast paced?? I tried reading it and the story seems pretty fast, I'm still a novice writer so I can't write long monologue or long descriptions so I'm sorry about that
