Frenley sat down at the table, placing the girl's food in front of them. The girls thank him with soft smiles as he opens the bag of his food and takes it out. The small asian woman looks at him as she takes the bowl of soup out of the bag. Mia got herself another type of sandwich, with a very strong, tempting smell that caught Frenley's attention. But the man was quite content with just having his usual lunch.
“Babe, do you always eat the same meal?” The short woman's words made Frenley look at her, and he nodded his head.
“But I am down to try other things if offered to me, but I just prefer the comfort of eating the same meal.”
“I see, you wish to try some of my soup?” Risa said as she opened the soup container.
Frenley nodded his head and leaned in, opening his mouth so that the short woman could feed him some of her soup. He closed his mouth once Risa put the spoon full of soup inside of it, looking at her with a small smile as he grabbed the spoon out of her hand and took it out of his mouth. He passed the blushing woman the spoon as he swallowed.
“Taste tasty, what is it?”
“Oh- It is just a normal chicken noodle soup,” Risa said as she regained control of her emotions and face.
“That is the kind of thing I see myself doing, not you love.” The tall woman said, cutting a small piece of her sandwich and offering it to the man.
Frenley giggles as he accepts the piece of the sandwich, eating it lovingly after seeing the girls share their meal with each other. Mia did the same thing he did when Risa fed her the soup, but much better, judging by the stronger reaction the short girl showed. The asian woman just shook her head as she drank her soup.
“Perverts.”
“I know you ain't talking to you, sweetheart, in terms of hierarchy it's Me, you, and Fren,” Mia said with a soft laugh as she takes a bite of her sandwich.
The short girl didn't even argue, seeing as she stayed shut while enjoying her soup. Frenley couldn't help but smile as he watched the girls eat their meal. Their presence was quite nice and reassuring after yesterday's fight.
As Fren thinks of the fight, he couldn't help but let his mind wander. If there is a fragment of winter, there has to be one of summer, spring, and autumn. His thinking face seemed to attract the attention of the girls, as he felt their eyes land on him.
“What?” He asks as he cleans his face, making sure there is nothing on it.
“Nothing, love, just what were you thinking in that pretty little head of yours?” The tall woman said, taking a sip of her drink.
“A bit about last night, the winter fragment. There have to be three more of the other elements. How does any of this make sense.. There has to be something that we are missing.”
“The sun lies, because it can speak,” Risa said, her words causing Frenley and Mia to look at her.
“The sun changes, cycles of nature are as old as the sun and moon. The Moon Queen left when the sun changed. Madness reigns.” Risa pushed her hand through her silky black hair as she sighed. “There is something there, I just can't find the connection. We are missing part of the story. We don't even know why the dream is bleeding into reality.”
“The dreams bleed into reality, because we share the same sun,” Frenley repeated Ailice words. This caused Risa to stop eating for a second.
“The dream world and the real world are connected?..” Risa said while looking at Frenley.
“That is how I interpreted it, and the veil that separated them is starting to be undone,” Fren said as he ate another bite of his meal.
“The people of the dream world started to have strange dreams, just like we are having right now.” The asian woman said as she took out her phone
“Wait, are you saying what I think you are saying?” Mia asks with wide eyes.
“They were in our world first? Then now we are in theirs.” Frenley stops eating as he rests his head on his hands.
“Okay..what does this train of thought lead us to?” Mia's words cause Risa and Frenley to stop in their tracks.
“You are right..” Frenley said.
“Because think of all legends. Humans battling creatures of fantasy. Dragons, Demons, Angels, and more. Each world culture has its own mythos of heroes and monsters.”
Frenley and Mai said nothing as they waited for Risa to finish her train of thought.
“Why can't we see the sun in the dream world? If it is the same sun we are currently under. Why are their eyes full of fire, like that of the sun?” Risa let her words hang. “The sun lies, lies can only be seen under shadows, all are touched by the sun.”
“Curiosity invites the sun,” Frenley spoke softly, a soft whisper carried by the wind.
“Said that again.” The wind reached Risa's ears as she spoke.
“Curiosity invited the sun”. Ailice said those words when I asked her how the floating city sustains itself.”
“The sun is the source of madness.” Risa's words echo true as they took the breath out of the other two.
“What..what do you mean?”
“The sun got changed somehow; it contains knowledge the plague doctors were trying to gain. It speaks that knowledge to people. Their eyes are made of fire because they are touched by madness, by the sun.”
“Then how are we any different? We have been under the sun for ages! And we aren't crazy.”
“Because the sun has not shown its true powers yet, the dream is bleeding into reality. Because-”
“Our sun is changing,” Frenley said as he shivered. He was now thankful that they were under the cold shadow of an umbrella.

POV: Butterfly
He woke up with cold sweat covering his body. His eyes were unfocused as he looked at his dirty apartment. The man pressed his hands on his head. Making sure it was there, that it was not destroyed. Thankfully, it was, but something else was on it. A metal layer, like a helmet. In fact, his hands were also covered in this layer of armor. The man's heart started to panic as he threw his blanket to the floor.
What greeted him instead of his naked body was his armor, an armor he is very familiar with. His paladin/knight armor is the same one he used in the dream. A dream where he is hailed as a hero, to protect a kingdom and save it from ruin. Like any hero, he defeated the tutorial boss easily. But he couldn't find a party of followers to tackle the madness together.
Every hero should have a party of women who support him. Love interest that helps him defeat the evil lord. The only candidates, a trio of lesbians who don't know real dick because they haven't tasted it, rejected him. Forcing him to party up with a party of smelly, disgusting men. Useless bastards that he does not even care to remember their names.
But thanks to them, he was able to defeat many bosses, and they even found a large giant winter wolf. A boss who should be easy with their numbers. Easy it was, the four of them were able to kill the wolf, but the real problem started after that. A woman came out of the wolf corpse and killed them, over and over again. No amount of damage they did harmed her. Her mere touch freezes them over.
They fought as their magic dwindled and their potions became zero. They could not defeat her, and as the sun rose, the dream ended, right as her ice armor reflected the light of the sun into their eyes. The man gets out of bed and runs to the bathroom. Ignoring the sound of metal that follows him.
He opened the door of the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. He looked like he did in his dream; his armor, face, and everything else were exactly the same. He even checked his status page, and it was the same. Soon, a soft laughter started to leave his lips. He laughed and laughed as tears ran down his face.
Pride enters his body as he stands proudly in front of the mirror.
“No longer will I be ignored, I am the god damn hero! Choosen!”
Then his eyes started to narrow as he remembered the way the disgusting, sinful lesbians humiliated him. Especially Frenley, the bitch was the one who shot him in the head. Killing him in the one place where he was supposed to be safe. Her smug face as she looked at him like he was dirt. If only he could punch that stupid look on her face, then he would show her that men were made in God's image and women are supposed to follow and not lead.
‘I could help with that..’
A voice enters his mind. The man looks around as he summons his sword. Fear was written all over his face. But when he sees no one, his heart starts to beat faster. Till he remembers the first time someone spoke to him in the dream, a voice that speaks in his head. But this voice was different from the soft, cute female voice that once greeted him in the tutorial.
This felt like a million voices compressed into one.
“What do you mean?”
‘I can help you find that person.”
“How?”
‘With a small ritual, you will be able to locate them, and you will claim your rightful spot as hero. Don't you find it strange that two beautiful women didn't jump at the opportunity to be with you? To join your story?’
“Yeah, it is weird… are you saying that bitch is the one who corrupted them? Yes, yes, that makes sense. It's she who made them think they don't need a man like me! Yes, yes, it makes sense. Tell me what I need to do?”
‘All you had to do was very simple: to find flesh, you must give flesh in return. Gather sunflower seeds, the fat of a pig, a silver mirror, and a sacrificial dagger. Then at noon, when the sun is at its highest. Sacrifice the ignorant on top of the mirror. Then it will show you their location, and you will claim your rightful spot as hero in this story.”
The man smiled as he pressed his hand against his head, and laughter started to leave his mouth. Crawling out of his mouth like spiders. He laughed like a maniac till someone started knocking heavily on his door. The man stopped laughing, eyes narrowed as he walked out of the bathroom and walked towards the front door. He opened the door wide open, as a fat man stood in front of it, his face painted with rage.
“FUCKER! It is to earl-”
The fat man’s words were cut short as the armored knight grabbed him by the face and threw him into the apartment. He closed the door behind him as he launched himself at the man. The fat man screamed as the knight punched him in the face, breaking his nose and letting his silky red blood flow freely.
“Shut up, villain!”
The knight said as he strangled the man with ease, breaking the soft bones of his neck. Breath left the fat man, as he lay beneath the knight. The knight laughs like a maniac as he uses his sword to start cutting the man up.
“The fact of a pig.” He said, holding the fat of the man’s stomach, his metal guntlet cover in sticky red blood and pieces of flesh. The disgusting yellow fat moved like jelly in his palms as he spoke. “Sunflower seeds, a silver mirror, and a sacrificial dagger. Then, killed the ignorant at noon. Yes..yes, this is how my story begins, my true story as a hero!”
