Basically, Billy decided that mana was like genes, and Familiar eggs absorb that mana and are created. If a person who already hatched a Knight-type familiar were to feed another Familiar egg with mana, the hatched creature would be the exact same Knight-type. 

 

This led Billy to think that if someone who already hatched a magic-type familiar were to hatch another egg, a magic-type familiar being born would be likely.

 

But Ars thought it wasn't easy.

 

Billy referenced the Valkyries, calling them magic-type Familiars, and hypothesized that having Ars in the mana combining process would heighten their chances of producing a familiar that could use magic. 

 

Ars was confused. He thought that Valkyries were knight types and that they couldn't use magic from birth. The only reason that they could use magic was because of him having named the first Valkyrie.

 

But Billy said no. Then Kyle came and agreed with Billy.

 

In the end, we figured out that the Valkyries can actually use magic from birth, [Sharing]. This allows them to share not only their total mana, but also their spells. And that's why all the Valkyries can use Ars' magic.
