Like many people predicted before, I burnt myself out, and now I decided to just go ahead and do a hiatus on this work, perhaps indefinitely.
To be honest, I wanted to write a fantasy work with game elements. But as it is now, it will go wrong in too many ways.
I decided to just return to a novel I wanted to do a long time ago, where the MC is raw-boned, with no reincarnation bullshit or isekai. Just some guy who was unlucky at first lucking out. It will be Rome/tribal style with magic and other nonsense.
While the system I made sounds good and all, it is majorly flawed and overly complicated, I decided to just go ahead and ax it and use something far simpler. No overly complicated evolution bullshit or affinities, just some basic stats with basic 'lettered' rankings.

while i am saddend to see this on hiatus, i will propably enjoy almost everything you write as i really enjoy your style. If you have such hard times with systems why dont you try a systemless aproach? (LitRPG isnt my fav genre so i am biased on this point) But just regular fantasy where the "system" is a social construct, people invented classifications and rules of judging and rating something that is just part of the natural world? And if your story is about the very first person in the world to experience that part, than they can make up a system for themself or whatever they feel like they need to describe this to themself (or the reader). It would certainly free you from the obligation for it to be perfect and flawless, any mistakes could be recognized in story and adjusted.
I am looking forward to your fantasy world based story, i loved your description of the world and how the people where in your tentacle story (a hiatus i am desperate to see more of btw, even if i have very little hope left). So i wanna encurage you to go and write it. i find the idea of a tribal/savage world where the MC is the first to come into contact with such a special thing interesting, even if that runs into the danger of the MC becoming OP as f*ck and not getting challanged, but i believe you could handle that and make it interesting.
