Jack POV.

After 4 long days of traveling, Celestina and I finally arrived at the Capital of our country, Lyold.

As I approached Lyold, I could see far away a huge wall more than 50 meters high, beautifully decorated with statues of the heroes of our nation and equipped with a large number of turrets and cannons, which were created for the protection of the population of Lyold against attacks from neighboring nations.

Faced with the appearance of this wall a feeling of joy was felt so in my heart because it meant that I was close to my final destination.

While being happy, I decided to speed up my vehicle to be able to reach Lyold more quickly.

Because Celestina's condition was worsened during the trip.

Her hair was starting to lose color, bleeding started to appear on her ears and her eyes; and she was coughing up blood.

And what terrified me the most was that orange marks were appearing all over his body.

I had to hurry to join the government base so that they tell me what is happening to my sister and to find out if we could cure her.

While I was driving like crazy.

Celestina, who was in terrible shape and was lying in the backseat, started whispering words.

I didn't understand what she meant but maybe this string of words had something to do with what happen to him.

While I was still thinking about the meaning of the words Celestina spoke, a man in a police uniform positioned himself right in front of my car, which made me stop driving.

The policeman who had stopped my car is then directed towards me and made me sign to lower my window and I obeyed him.

(Policeman): ID paper, please and tell me, what you plan to do in Lyold.

Said the policeman looking me straight in the eye.

(Jack Holder): I came with my sister with the hope that she could be cured of the disease she is suffering from.

I responded to the policeman by giving him my identity card and Celestina's.

The policeman took our ID cards.

Then he looked at them.

After verifying that our identity was true the policeman returned them to us.

And after returning our ID cards to me, the policeman approached the back of the car and began to look inside to verify that my story is true.

After confirming that my story was true, the policeman slapped the back of the car twice before yelling for his colleague.

(Policeman): It's okay Jerry, let them pass!!!

After the policeman has finished shouting, the toll gate was opened, leaving me and Celestina to go inside the Capital.

Once inside the Capital, I was greeted by a beautiful, bustling city.

The buildings, the houses were very beautiful and clean, which shows that the city is maintained for the comfort of the inhabitants.

Looking more closely at the city I could see the inhabitants of the town of Lyold going about their occupations in an orderly manner.

Some people were selling products while others were buying them or looking at them with curiosity.

Other people were traveling through the city by bicycle or train.

But strangely, there were extremely few cars which is quite strange for a big city.

Well, I'm not going to complain about it after all, less driving means less pollution.

It really was an amazing and beautiful city.

At a glance, I was able to confirm what the websites said was true, Lyold is indeed the most prosperous city in the entire Cantu Federation.

While I was still in awe of Lyold's beauty, Celestina's cough brought me back to reality.

And I remembered the real purpose of my coming, which was not to visit the city but to go to the government base.

Without wasting, one more second I parked and while carrying Celestina in my arms, I ran towards the entrance of the huge building.

As I reached the entrance to the building and as I am about to go inside two men blocked my road.

(guard 1): Sir, I think you are in the wrong place, the hospital is two streets away.

The first guard told me with a frown and looking at Celestina's deplorable state.

(Jack Holder): Wait sir, it's a man who works here who told me to come here, look he gave me that card.

I tell them while eagerly showing them the card that the man in the suit had given me.

the two guards were looking closely at the card to check if it was true when suddenly Guard 2's toki-woki rang, the second guard hurried to answer.

The person on the other end of the phone has said something to the second guard that will surprised him.

(guard 2): you are sure sir because this little one seems very sick, she could contaminate all of us.

The person behind the toki-woki then responded and dispelled any doubt to Guard 2.

he replied to the person who was speaking behind the toki-woki then he turned to guard 1 and told him.

he replied, as he and Guard 2 stepped out of my way.

So I then went inside the building and ran up to the receptionist to ask her where the analysts' facilities were but when my gaze fell on her I was blown away because the receptionist was very beautiful.

She was dressed in a costume that showed off her curves and her chest even though her chest was small, I would say cup-C.

Her face was smooth with a small pointed nose, thin and full lips that gave me only one desire to kiss her and golden hair in a magnificent ponytail.

If my mind wasn't preoccupied with Celestina's health then I'm sure I would fall in love with her.

Shaking my head to come to my senses I asked the receptionist.

(Jack Holder): Ma'am, please can you tell me where the research center is.

I said eagerly and blushing to the blonde lady.

(Receptionist): Sir, do you have an appointment.

she said to me coldly which made me a little sick to my heart.

(Jack Holder): No, but a man told me to come.

(Receptionist): Sir if you don't have a meeting ......

As the receptionist spoke to me, a familiar voice cut her off.

(man in a suit): It's okay Catherine, they are my guests.

(Catherine): Yes, Mr. Smith.

She replied to the person who cut her but strangely when she answered that voice her pretty face contorted in disgust it seemed she didn't like that person too much.

As I turned my head to look at the person who cut off the receptionist named Catherine.

I was pleasantly surprised because the person who appeared to me was the man who invited me to come at this basis when my father's funeral, he was the man in the suit and it seems his name was Smith.

(Smith): Mr. Holder, it's good to see you again and welcome to our government base, zone 0-34.

Following her words I then followed her into an elevator and then after entering with Smith, he pressed the button for floor -30

I was surprised to learn that their analyst was in the basement.

After the elevator doors closed, Smith looked at me with an amused little smile.

(Smith): So Mr. Holder, would you fall in love with Catherine.

(Jack Holder): N ... no, what makes you say that? I was just surprised by her beauty.

I answered him with a strong blush.

When Smith heard me answer him he couldn't help but burst out laughing.

(Smith): HAHAHA .... ok, ok, I'll believe you.

Following his own words Smith it was then approached my ear and whispered to me.

(Smith): But just for the record, she's single.

I don't know why but when I heard his words I couldn't help but rejoice.

A few seconds later.

After some wait in the elevator, we finally got to floor -30.

And we were greeted by a team of 5 people in white coats.

they were scientists.

And this scientists rushed over to me and snatched Celestina out of my hand, then left through a door that should lead them to their offices.

(Jack Holder): Hey, what are you doing, give her back to me.

As I pursued the scientists who had taken Celestina from me, Smith's hand rested on my shoulder and he reassured me.

(Smith): Don't worry Mr. Holder, they'll take good care of your sister.

Looking at him and the scientists leaving with Celestina in their hand I was able to help but sigh.

(Jack Holder): pffff .... Alright.

Faced with my understanding of the situation, Smith smirked and then told me as he walked towards a reinforced metal door.

(Smith): Now, Mr. Holder, I would like to introduce my superiors to you, they will explain to you what infects your sister and where this infection comes from and they will answer also your questions.

Finally, I was finally going to find out what makes my sister so sick.

And also with the promise that my questions will be answered.

I then followed her but still with a certain doubt, concern and fear because I feared their answer and the fate that could happen to my sister.
