Lyra: [She gripped the table.] “Hngh-”

 

Jeckle: “WHAT WAS THAT!?” [She ran over to the noise.]

 

Lyra: [She hesitantly followed Jeckle.]

 

Kato: -he hung back taking the paper that was in the letter out of his pocket and putting it on the counter thinking it was something else, he left it there-

 

Ami: -she was still in the corner of the room holding her gun. Smoke was coming out of the barrel and there was a gun hole in the wall. She was sweating and looked tense-

 

Lyra: “W-what happened!?”

 

Jeckle: “Did you get dumped in water or somethin? You look like a living water fountain!” [She burst out laughing.]

 

Ami: -she exhaled and put down her gun, she lay against the wall cradling her head in her knees-

 

Lyra: [She walked a bit closer to Ami.] “Sweetheart?...Is everything alright?”

 

Jeckle: [She paused, then ran to the bathroom.] 

 

Ami: -she slowly started rocking herself-

 

Lyra: [She sat down next to Ami.] “Ami? What’s wrong?”

 

Ami: -she was still rocking as she mumbled- nothing.. -she used her foot and pushed her gun further away from them-

 

Kato: -he left the paper and walked over to the couch, sitting down-

 

Lyra: “Please tell me.”

 

Jeckle: [She locked the door to the bathroom.]

 

Ami: -she stoped rocking and started crying into her knees, still in a fetal position-

 

Lyra: “Did someone attack you?”

 

Ami: -she shook her head- no..

 

Lyra: “Then, what?”

 

Kato: -he was leaning against the door frame, his shadow covering Ami, he looked down smiling sadly for a moment before looking up with tears in his eyes and saying- Happy 6th anniversary..

 

Lyra: [She looked confused.] “Anniversary? For what?”

 

Kato: -he exhaled walking over to Ami and giving her a hug- Six year ago today we drove with our dad to a gas station, he pushed us out of the car.. and.. drove away..

 

Lyra: “That’s what this is all about?”

 

Kato: -he hugged Ami again- probably.. She most likely fell asleep thinking about it and had a nightmare. 

 

Lyra: “O-oh…” [She looked at her phone.] “It’s late. You two should go to bed, and in the morning, we’ll go out and have fun, alright? Tomorrow Ami can shower.”

 

Kato: -he nodded standing up, and helped Ami up as well- alright.

 

Lyra: [She put them both in their room.] “Actually sleep tonight, okay?” [She closed the door, sighing, then going over to the bathroom door.] “Jeckle?”

 

[There was no answer.]

 

Kato: -he lay in bed staring at the ceiling not finding sleep-

 

Ami: -she was awake on her phone scrolling through old photos. She turned down the brightness-

 

Ami: -she comes across a video, and pulls out her earphones-

 

Kato: -he finally closed his eyes falling asleep-

 

Ami: -she played the video, it was her mom, dad, and Kato when he was little. Her parents where playing with him suddenly he stood up and slowly walked over to her.- 

 

Ami: -at this memory she smiled, it was the first time he’d walked. She put down her phone and took out her earbuds, falling asleep-

 

{Both Kato and Ami were transported to a dream state. It was a grey mansion with lots of bunk beds and teddy bears. There were lots of stairs, too.} 

 

Kato: -he looked around as he thought- This isn’t Jeckle’s house..

 

Kato: -he looks at the stairs- hm.. Wonder whats up here.. -he begins to climb the stairs slowly-

 

Kato: -he came to a room. It wasn’t locked so he stepped inside it-

 

*inside the room was completely dark except for a orb with two hand indents that could fit Kato’s hands perfectly*

 

[There was a shuffling sound coming from another room up another flight of stairs.]

 

Kato: -he looked up but something drew him toward the orb. He stepped forward placing a hand on the orb. The orb’s glow got brighter but nothing happened so he put both hands onto it and it glowed until the room was white, he kept his hands on the orb and suddenly he was sitting in the passenger seat of a car. He looked to see who was driving. His dad was in the seat driving away from the gas station- No, no no! Why am I here! Dad! Dad! Turn around! Stop driving!

 

Kato: He can’t hear me..

 

Kato: -he looked at the front of the car and saw a big missile looking tank dropping from the sky about a million cars underneath it including the one they were in- DAD STOP! DRIVE BACK!

 

* The missile hit the cars and Kato was back in the room, the orb was gone and the room was black. Kato sunk onto his knees and began sobbing*

 

Ami: -she looked at the main floor looking at the stairs-

 

Ami: -instead of going down the stairs she takes the stairs going down- 

 

[There was a weird version of Jeckle sitting downstairs with her back turned. She was all grey as well.]

 

Ami: -She walked toward the vision- Jeckle..? 

 

Jeckle: [She turned her head around to meet Ami’s gaze.] “Ah, Ami!~ Glad you could join me…”

 

Ami: Where are we- this isn’t your house..

 

Jeckle: [She stood up, then gestured for Ami to come closer.]

 

Ami: -she reached for her gun for safety to find it wasn’t there. Having no other option she walked forward-

 

Jeckle: “Ami, Ami...you’ve worked so hard to protect you and your precious brother’s life~ But, I can tell you’re still suffering inside, hmmm? You still hate your dad so much, but...you’re becoming just like him.” [She smiled.]

 

Ami: No, I’m not suffering and I'm nothing like him. -she took a step back-

 

Jeckle: “We’re lying to convince ourselves, aren’t we?”

 

Ami: We’re doing nothing. I’m not lying, because I don't need to convince myself. -as she spoke she stepped back once again-

 

Jeckle: “Say what you want, you know I’m right...In your future, you’ll grow to be just like him~ I can’t wait to see it.”

 

Ami: -she shook her head- I won’t let myself. 

 

[Ami’s vision went black. By the time she could see again, Jeckle had a wound in her chest. Static was oozing out of it.]

 

Ami: Where are we? And who are you exactly..? What’s happening to you..

 

Jeckle: [She looked shocked for a moment, but her expression quickly turned into a grin.] “Darling… look at your hands! You’re a natural…”

 

[Ami’s hands were covered in static. One hand had a knife, which was also covered in static.]

 

Jeckle: “Ami...you’re just like your father.” [She whispered. The room turned into a blinding white for both Ami and Kato, at the same time they were sent back to their beds.]

 

Kato: -he stayed asleep-

 

Ami: -she sat up in her bed, her hand on her chest, gasping for air that she couldn’t find- 

 

Kato: -he sat up in his bed and jumped off the top bunk at Ami’s side-

 

Ami: -she inhaled as air filled her lungs and she shook her head while staring at Kato- I’m never -she inhaled- sleeping again -she exhaled-
