The dresser, desk, end table, and various other common bedroom furniture all have ornate carvings in the what looks like rosewood exterior. There are heavy dark red drapes hanging over the ornate windows that are completely covered.

Her superhuman eyesight can make out the pale color of the walls and the splashes of white, gold, and purple amidst the predominately red theme of this bedroom. Even the blanket that covered her was a dark red that matched the drapes. This type of interior decorating was not against her aesthetics, but it certainly felt a bit too "heavy" compared to what her old bedroom was like.

The only part of the room that didn't follow this Renaise theme was the thin screen on the desk. It resembled the screens the Terrans had in their homes that could do all manner of things.

[Hostess, have you fully oriented yourself to your new body?]

After standing and flexing various body parts to test their response, she nodded.

The ancient Chinese dynasties very much resemble what Aurelis told her the previous ruined empire Sol emerged from was like. Was it a coincidence that her original world and this one had somewhat similar history?

She also now knew the thin screen on the desk was a computer screen. It's the display of a very advanced electronic device for storing and processing data. There was also a PC and keyboard and mouse and other such equipment that goes with it. The furniture theme she had in her room was not Renaise styled furniture, but Victorian furniture. Another resemblance that gave her some pause.

She did not feel any discomfort, but there was a strange sense of vertigo processing the at times eerily similar ancient history of this world and Avalia's.

[No... I think I'm good. Go ahead and give me the rundown on what I'm doing here. I... have a feeling I'll be learning a lot while I'm here.]

[The hostess's current identity is named Mei Guihua, and you are the second generation rich of the Mei family. You are the only remaining member after your parents died in a car accident when you were 18, and all of their property was transferred to your name. You are reclusive and haven't been seen in public since then. You are currently 22, and the future is boundless.

This setting is necessary due to the nature of this world's fate line. The Son of Destiny is called Zou Zihao, the second generation rich of the Zou family who own the prestigious Star Entertainment Company. He is a waste who squanders his predetermined privileges and is currently attempting to enter the entertainment industry as an actor. He has no acting skills to speak of, and his status as a Son of Destiny manifests in his own system. It is a different kind of system than the karmic model I belong to. His system is a model given by this world's destiny to steal the karmic potential of others to improve his own shortcomings.]

[Wait a moment. Is it reasonable for me to guess that you sent me into this world in particular because whatever system the Son of Destiny has contributes to that heat death you were talking about?]

The destiny system Zou Zihao has absorbs energy from karmic potential of others to enhance his own, but the wasted energy to transfer it from one person to another accelerates the decrease of energy we have access to. There are many such small worlds with this kind of system, and these will be the worlds the hostess will be sent to to combat the harmful nature of these systems.]

[Sigh. I'm assuming you'll let me know what the deal is with your karmic system and destiny systems once it becomes relevant?]

[The hostess is very astute. This is the extent of the knowledge I can give you for now. Once it is necessary to know more, I will naturally give you that knowledge.]

[All of the harem members are women who he pursued with his system to gain their karmic potential. The reason they stick around with him afterwards is because he needs to do certain actions and keep them in a certain distance to benefit from their karmic potential. Due to the disharmonious methods he uses, I cannot give further detail. There are six women he pursues in the trajectory of this world's fate and all six are outstanding individuals who would become shining members of society if their karmic potential was not stolen.

Your mission is to prevent Zou Zihao from fully stealing the karmic potential of any of those six women. As long as they don't lose all of their potential, the stolen portion will gradually return to them. There are certain limitations to the destiny system, so those six women are the only victims he can steal karmic potential from. Once he fails the strategy to capture his harem, I will be able to destroy the destiny system of this world and the mission will be complete.

Rose smirked when she heard those rules. That much was basically giving her free reign to do as she liked. If all the missions she's had in her life was like this, she would never complain again. This was going to be easy.

The first woman you must rescue is the current fiancee of Zou Zihao, Bai Meiren. She is the heiress of the Bai family's Baihu Technology Company. All other relevant information about her will have to be found by the hostess. The identity of Mei Guihua itself is the biggest assistance I can provide. The only other ways I can assist is through close range monitoring, mobile access to the all aspects of the internet, and scanning the targets to find information on how much karmic potential they have remaining.]

I hope I got it across that Roselia's ethnicity is her world's equivalent of Chinese. The reason her name is not Chinese is because of the alien invasion I mentioned briefly in the prologue. One of the steps of colonization is forcing the natives to use your language after all... Besides that, I'm genuinely making shit up as I write so please bear with me since I'm finding out about the plot at the same time as you are LOL. Also sorry for the exposition but you know, all QT novels are like this too so I'm just keeping in the same spirit.
