Chapter 3: Joining The Team
In the book, Sunrise base can be said to only have a few lines of mention, only being talked about when one of their delegates arrived to help the Tomorrow base in a dangerous disaster that threatened the entire base
The male and female lead were in a desperate situation against a zombie tide and requested help from the surrounding bases, Sunrise base is one of the few bases that responded, although only a token force of a couple dozen, compared to the heartlessness of other bases it was more than expected.
Han Wuqing didn't want to be involved with the plot, afterall it is best to keep the disturbances to the story as low as possible, If she changed any plot points arbitrarily, the future events might change as well leading her to lose the advantage of knowing the future events, it would be better choice not to be a member of the Tomorrow base and encounter the leads.
According to the previous owner's memory, although her family's home was not near either the Tomorrow base, or the Sunrise base, her brother's high school happened to be only a few kilometers away from the base.
By comparison it does seem like the Sunrise base may seem like a good destination for Han Wuqing right now, she can search for her brother while working to rise the ranks within the base.
"Medicine?" Han Wuqing questioned, expressing interest in their mission
Gu Mo smiled bitterly "Yes, we were sent by the base leader to this city in order to find fever medicine for the little girl, but as you see right now, it didn't go right as planned, the medicine within this building had already been looted and we don't have the manpower nor a vehicle to go after the hospital miles away"
When Gu Mo talked about their group's struggles with a self deprecating tone, Han Wuqing suddenly was reminded of the plot, a few of the classmates that took refuge with the male lead inside the shoe store at the mall close to the university were worried about their friends, and ventured to a nearby medicine store within the mall in order to acquire medicine.
Since the mall that the male lead and his classmates escaped to isn't that far away from the university, wouldn't it be a perfect location to get medicine
"I know where there is medicine"
"There is a medicine shop located within the mall to the north, you can probably find the medicine in there" Han Wuqing said with a straight face
Hearing what Han Wuqing said, Gu Mo and the other three's eyes lit up at the same time, they're mission can still be accomplished, although they couldn't get the medicine from the university initially, they can still attain it nearby
Lu wenfeng grinned with newfound energy as he leaned on Gu Mo's Shoulder "Brother Mo, it seems we're in luck, even if that Chen Muyan tricked us into going to his scraps, we still managed to find a treasured little sister like Miss Han, who allowed us another chance to get the medicine"
Su Yunwu, the female earth power and the medic Xia Wuya both had a mixture of happiness and relief on their faces
Gu Mo who changed from the anger and despair from a few minutes ago, suddenly wondered why Han Wuqing would tell them this, unless "What does Miss Han telling us this mean? Are you willing to travel with us?"
Han Wuqing knod to Gu Mo with her javelin on her back, saying "Yes, I'll join you on your mission"
The five got preparations done and quickly went to the entrance of the university heading to the direction stated by Han Wuqing
