Augh... I feel weird... what happened something doesn't feel right! I fell asleep in my couch didn't I, so why is the ground... grass?

Ok... ok, so I'm in what looks like an old mostly overgrown dungeon, grass and roots breaking through a stone floor, and walls, and ceiling!

"This place is dreary as hell, did I jump back in the pod without noticing... no that's impossible, how would I even start it."

Lets sort through this, I finished that nightmare marathon completely delirious, grabbed what I think was a sandwich, haluci... yeah that was definitely real, I see that now. Ok, so I was co-opted into the tutorial for some game called Path of Stars, or The Path of Stars?, chose impossible difficulty and then it said waiting for players. Was it augmented reality, no it couldn't be I wasn't wearing anything for that, a hologram then, did I sign up for it at some point, THE CONTRACT!!!, that must be it, my streaming contract has something in it about having to play games they sent me this must be one of those.

Ok, so this is some weird VR game that I was to delirious too pay attention to then. What is it then, an RPG?, looks like one.

"Ah, so I have no magic, can't socialize, and the universe hates me... sounds about right."

So far, so standard, except there are more attributes than I'm used to seeing, PRS is presence right? Also attributes are grouped together into mental, physical, and spiritual power and control, except for spiritual which only has power oddly enough. I don't quite know what to make of this, does the game use the grouped or individual attributes for calculations? this seems odd, also why do I have no skills, like seriously not even a basic weapons skill, WTF?

Then there's the even weirder parts, Star Rating? Skull Rating? experience not available? WHAT.

"I swear if this is some shitty broken pre-alpha... I'll... Complain about it on stream or something... Fuck"

Well lets get to exploring I guess, no wait, that's right, the options menu, how could I forget to mess with my settings. Do I have to say it out loud? No, I apparently don't, but this is incredibly weird, It feels like something opened up in my mind when I thought about the options menu but I cant see anything, there's no pop-up, can VR games really do something like this?

Well then, I think I can mess with the status menu, I guess I'll try willing it to be red.

"O GOD IT HURTSSS MAKE! IT!! STOP!!!"

"Ok, its back to normal... good... NEVER AGAIN!"

Lets just go through the basic stuff for now, notifications hidden, status menu compressed, wait that looks so much better, then I guess console on... wait what? there's a console, and I can turn it ON, WHY? Oh I am going to ruin this game... later though.

This status page is far more convenient, though it does lose a lot of information so I'll have to switch back from time to time and it just looks so empty with a massive blank space where skills should be.

My stats seem somewhat low, isn't the starting average normally ten, yet here I am with a 9 as my highest stat, but that doesn't make any sense. I've been training since I was eight years old, I can keep up with Ele for fucks sake and she could win globals; well I guess my strength was never a particular strong point of mine but my agility and dexterity should be on par with top athletes. Hmm, this game just keeps on getting weirder.

"Hahhhh, I guess there's no use dwelling on it, this looks like an old medieval dungeon, there should be a guard post at the end of it, I'll just use some random debris as a weapon until I get there"

Wait, that sounds like water behind me, a fountain, there's no way I would've missed that before it's in the center of the room, did it just appear, and why's the water purple?

"Is it just me or is that message kinda condescending?"

Welp, there's three challenges and I sure ain't got anything better to do, well besides literally anything else but contracts and all that, so might as well get going.
