"Hey guys, I am home" Kano's father had just come back from work, exhausted and irritable.

"You're home now, can't you help with something?" her mother said, her voice filled  with frustration. "I'm exhausted with the amount of cleaning needed in this home of ours."

"I just got off work," her father replied, his voice equally tense. "Can I at least take off my shoes before I start doing chores?"

"Why do you even bother coming home?" Her mother angrily spoke at him. "You're always working, and you never spend any time with us."

Leaving out a frustrated sigh. "I work hard so that we can have a better life! If you can't appreciate that, then maybe I should just stay at work!"

With bomb that sparked, turning around and throwing the dish towel on the counter. "You think throwing money at us is enough? What about spending time with your family?"

Kano's father's voice grew more frustrated. "I'm doing everything I can to provide for this family. You don't know what it's like out there. I work long hours so that we can pay the bills and have food on the table."

The fight escalated quickly, with both of them hurling insults and accusations at each other. Young Kano hiding under the table to seek welfare from the on-going war her parents have ensued.

"You don't even care about us," her mother sobbed, tears streaming down her face. "All you care about is your stupid job!"

"I care about this family more than you know," her father replied, his voice low and angry. "But I can't keep doing this if you're going to be ungrateful and unappreciative all the time."

As the fight continued, Kano's father stormed out of the house, slamming the door behind him. Kano's mother collapsed onto the couch, crying uncontrollably. Kano huddled next to her, trying to comfort her the best they could.

Kano sat on the ground, feeling lost and alone. Memories of her childhood flooded her mind, reminding her of all the times she had been afraid to reach out for help.

"Why did this have to happen?" she thought to herself. "What have I done to deserve all of these?"

She felt a lump in her throat and her eyes started to well up with tears. She sank to the ground, her legs curled up to her chest, and buried her head in her hands.

"Please anyone..." with tears streaming through her face, "help me, I can't do this anymore, father, mother.... please where are you." she quietly plead.

Tears streamed down Kano's face as she realized how lost and alone she felt just moments before. She had been completely overwhelmed and didn't know what to do.

"KANO!"

A name that she is very familiar with, she could hear her name being called in a crowd so loud.

"KANO I SEE YOU!" A kid her age quickly sprints to her direction as soon as he spots kano.

Tears of relief filled her eyes as she quickly stood up and ran to him, throwing her arms around him in a tight embrace.

Looking up, she could see the worry etched on his face and the concern in his eyes. It made her heart ache with sadness, knowing that she had caused him to worry like this. She wanted to apologize, but the words got stuck in her throat.

Hugging him, she could feel her knees give out as she collapsed into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably. The relief and overwhelming emotions were too much to handle all at once. But being in his embrace made her feel safe and loved, and for that brief moment, she forgot all her troubles.

"Thank you, thank you so much," she whispered, still holding onto him tightly. "I was so scared and lost, I didn't know what to do."

"It's okay, Kano," he whispered softly. "You're safe now. I'm here and I won't let anything happen to you."

Kano nodded, her grip on him tightening. "I was so scared," she admitted, her voice choked with emotion.

"I know," her replied, rubbing circles on her back. "But you don't have to be scared anymore. I'm here with you, and we'll go back to them now together."

"Why did you even bother looking for me?" she asked, her voice shaky from her earlier breakdown. "I barely even talked to you earlier, and I've been nothing but trouble."

He gave her a small smile and reached out to gently wipe away her tears. "It doesn't matter," he said softly. "You really reminded me of someone I was very close, she was in the similar situation as yours in the past and I couldn't do anything about it, I didn't want to repeat that again.."

As she grew older, Kano became even more introverted. She found it hard to make friends and connect with people, afraid that she might be rejected or hurt. But deep down, she longed for companionship and a sense of belonging

Because of this, for the first time, Kano felt her heart swell with a feeling she couldn't quite describe. She had never had someone be so kind to her before, especially someone she had just met. But in that moment, she knew that he was someone special, someone she could trust and rely on.

Kano sniffled, looking up at him with red-induced eyes. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper.

He smiled gently at her. "Of course. You're not alone anymore. We're in this together."

As Kano heard the word "together" from him, she felt a strange sensation within her. It was a feeling she couldn't put into words, but it was one that resonated deep within her. It reminded her of the happy times she had with her family before her parents constant fighting that followed.

The thought of being with someone who cared for her and who she could trust brought tears to her eyes. She clung onto him tighter, as if afraid that he would disappear and leave her alone once again.

"Together... I want that too," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't want to be alone anymore. I don't want to feel lost and helpless."

It was an important moment for Kano, she found herself feeling grateful for the main character's presence. It was like a beacon of light in the darkness of her emotions. She realized that, in some way, he was helping her heal from the wounds of her past.

"Thank you," she whispered, tears still streaming down her face. "I don't know what I'd do without you...."
