Hello, everyone. Hope you are doing well.

Sorry for the update schedule, I am still trying to return to my normal writing rhythm and I hit a block on this chapter.

I will try my best to return to a normal schedule asap.

Hope you will enjoy the chapter.

Thank you for reading. Have a good day. Y'all the best.

“Good, I am going to get something to eat then,” he said as he strolled toward the exit of the settlement.

‘Hum, maybe I should just fly,’ he thought as he remembered how long and complex the path they took yesterday was. Even though he wasn’t afraid to lose his way, he was sure he could save a lot of time by flying.

‘Forget it, I can use this opportunity to test my agility in this form,’ he muttered as he dashed forward at full speed.

‘Alright, I am out,’ he muttered happily.

‘Eh, is this the place where we fought yesterday,’ he asked as he looked at the clearing in front of him with a confused expression.

Yesterday, after his fight with Blake, the place has turned into a complete mess. But now, it looked like a fight never happened here, gone were the massive cracks littering the ground, gone was the ice that was covering most of the clearing. The clearing has been completely restored to its state before the fight. If it wasn’t for the corpses littering the ground, it would seem like yesterday's battle was a dream.

[It is the regeneration mechanism of the world. As long as the damages are nothing too big, the world can easily heal itself,] Luxia explained.

‘Nothing too big uh,’ Leo said as he remembered the destruction they caused yesterday. Any of their attack’s power could rival a small missile. But it was still not a big deal in this world.

[Yes, this world should be able to easily heal from nuclear class damage. Naturally, the more extensive the damage and the more complex the terrain, the more time the world needs to heal itself.]

‘And it would always heal any kind of damage,’ he wondered as it would be impossible for people to build anything in those kinds of conditions. Just imagine digging the foundation for your home only to find them closed the next day.

[That I don’t know,]

‘Don’t worry, we will make up for our lack of knowledge soon,’ he said as he moved toward the corpse of the wolf king. Another interesting thing he noticed was that the corpses were untouched. No beast came into the clearing to eat last night.

‘This should be because of the lingering aura,’ he concluded as he stopped beside the wolf king's body and after confirming it wasn’t spoiled decided to feast on it.

‘I can also use this opportunity to check on the evolution path,’ he muttered as he opened the system window.

‘Just as I thought, things are going to get more difficult from now on,’ Leo muttered as he looked at the five floating panels in front of him.

Each of the beasts described on those panels was an exceptional beast, the best in their respective domain. They were the best he could ask for at his current stage and with the system he didn’t even need to worry about the possible weakness of any of those beasts. He could choose any path as long as they satisfied his current requirements.

First, there was the gold maned lion. It was the best choice if he wants to continue on the path he chose when he became an atlas lion. If he chose this evolution, he would become a half-gold elemental with an incredibly strong constitution and sturdy defense. His survivability would increase and his dream of sitting and watching people kill themselves by hitting him would be one step closer.

Then, there was the Scorpiocore evolution that could grant him a deadly amount of attack power. Something he really lacked right now as none of his elements except poison is specialized in attack. Also, none of the previous forms grant him that much bonus when it comes to offensive power.

The royal griffin came next and honestly, this one could be considered the best choice he has. It was a beast that focused on agility but had an offensive might that was not that much inferior to the Scorpiocore. Add to that the fact that it could potentially allow him to take full advantage of his wings and its evolution potential was better than the Scorpiocore and it became hard to not choose it immediately.

Lastly, there were the two demonic options, they were the ones he liked the least as they were the only ones with a glaring weakness. Still, he chose them because they were the only ones with an evolution potential on par with the royal griffin. Besides, their strong points were not something that he could ignore.

The physical damage immunity of the shadow demon for example. It was something worth having even if it cost him to be weaker in front of certain elements.

As for the demonic sand lion, it is clearly the best choice if he wants to compromise between attack power and defense.

‘No matter what I choose, it would be fine,’ he muttered, as he closed the evolution tab.

‘The only problem is whether I can quickly fulfill the evolution condition or not,’ he mumbled as he remembered the evolution conditions he needed to fulfill for each path.

‘Let’s eat first,’ he said as closed his eyes and quietly continued his meal.
