Argen ignored the shocked looks on his friend's faces and rushed in to help his wolf, the one thing he felt connected to anyway.

"Get away!" Argen yelled as unstable silver energy shot out from the bow, not needing an arrow to shoot it this time.

The Pale Lady turned her head just in time to dodge the silver energy and flashes forward at her normal impossible to see speeds and grab Argen, but not without getting a swipe across her vulnerable backside, seeing as Asfalís was still there with the mission of protecting Argen.

The Pale Lady let Argen slip from her grip as she looked between the two silver energy-covered beings in front of her, both ready to fight for their lives.

Asfalís was only concerned about Argen, but Argen also wanted to protect Lee and Megan who had finally registered the events and realized it wasn't the time to be standing around.

"Argen look out!" Megan yelled as she shot a small green fireball toward The Pale Lady, a weak version of Greek fire, but it could still burn for a while.

Ever since starting to study magic, she'd learned many useful spells, and this was her time to use them, starting with her offensive spells.

Lee, who was off to the side, was digging through the duffel bag trying to find something he could use to attack since he wasn't able to attack with the only bow, they had settled for Argen's celestial bronze knife that was stuffed deep into the bag. He then jumped up and rushed forward to stand side by side with his friends and the weird silver wolf that had silver energy flailing dangerously.

Examining Argen and the wolf, Lee figured that Argen was in an unstable set of mind, possibly subconsciously triggered by their earlier reactions. Lee wasn't the smartest guy, but he was sure that it was dangerous for Argen to be unstable with this stuff, especially since he had completely burned away half the table in the train a few weeks ago.

"Argen! Calm down! You can hurt us and even sink the ship if you aren't careful!" Lee yelled quickly as Argen looked at him and back at Megan before getting what Lee was trying to say.

Argen nodded and took a deep breath as they stood back and looked at The Pale Lady, who was getting increasingly farther away, possibly thinking who to attack first.

"Megan, keep attacking with magic, Lee give me my knife," Argen said as he threw the bow toward Lee, insinuating that he should be the archer and that Argen would fight up close.

Lee hated to admit it but at that moment he let out a breath of relief that Argen had given him the bow, he wasn't a close-range fighter type of demigod and preferred ranged combat, like most Apollo kids.

If Lee didn't know any better he'd guess that Argen was much more fit to be a child of Artemis, but such a thing didn't and couldn't exist...

Lee backed off and went back to the duffel back and grabbed the few arrows that they had, some were just straw training arrows from camp. They wouldn't cause much damage but hopefully, they would annoy the woman in front of them being stopped by the wolf that seemed to have a connection with Argen.

Argen nodded as he swung the knife a bit to get used to the feeling again and rushed forward, standing next to the wolf in a fighting stance, ready to fight for his life for the first time.

Against La Llorona, he hadn't truly fought, mostly he had been led by anger when he had attacked, making him sloppy most of the time, but now he was focused... Almost like a hunter looking at his prey.

Megan was off to the side a little behind Argen and Asfalís in her own fighting stance, using her magic to protect Argen without him noticing, and also giving the Asfalís a small speed boost using a few basic spells she'd practiced since being claimed, and even before that.

Megan was a genius in magic, not that she could compare much to others. Even before being claimed she had been able to cast spells with minimal effort, leading to her being claimed by Hecate after perfecting a spell that she was thinking of using...

The Pale Lady made the first move, deciding Argen and Asfalís should be the main focus, lunging forward she towered over the focused 11-year-old boy who swung his knife at the last second, causing it to graze her retreating body, this graze was enough however as he used all his will power to channel the silver energy to flow throughout her body, causing The Pale Lady to freeze as it made her way through her form, cracking it...

"Now Megan!" Argen yelled as he hit the deck and Lee jumped away, knowing what Argen was telling her to do.

...(A week before they left camp)...

"Train together?" Argen asked confusedly before realizing that it would be smart if they got comfortable fighting with each other.

It didn't take a genius to know that quests were dangerous and he would most likely have to fight monsters during this time.

Even with training by himself, he knew this, but training together would benefit them all in the long run.

After hours when the Harpies flew over camp, Argen, Megan, and Lee all went into the forest with Chiron's permission to summon a monster to battle.

Not a large monster, just a 12-foot tall scorpion from The Underworld, not a big deal at all...

"What the hell is this?!" Argen yelled as he ran away with Lee and Megan, apparently, this wasn't what they were trying to summon, not that it mattered now since they were running for their lives.

"I blame you!" Megan yelled as she shoved Lee a little and they all tripped and fell hard onto the ground.

"We're gonna die..." Lee whispered as the scorpion clattered in front of them.

Before it reached them however there was a small burst of light with Megan standing there shrouded in green spiraling energy, all around her body staring at the Monster.

She then raised her hand and without any effort, snapped her fingers, making the monster crumble to dust...

...(Present)...

Megan stood there shrouded with the same green magical energy with a raised hand, starting at The Pale Lady. In the next second, she was in front of the already crumbling monster.

Letting her hand reach down she touched the monsters shoulder and snapped her fingers with her other hand, making it crumble to dust...

"That takes... A lot... Of energy," Megan said as the magical energy disappeared and she started walking toward the two boys who were cheering her on, not that she could hear them due to a ringing in her ear from the amount of magic she had used to complete this spell.

"Megan..." Megan heard Argen's voice say, except it wasn't in a happy tone or anything, no it was in a frightened tone. Looking down she saw why as a large spiky-looking hand was through her stomach...

"Pós tolmács ... Tha se skotós o ólous!" A crumbled and slimy-looking creature yelled in Greek as it pulled its hand out of Megan's stomach, allowing the girl to drop to the floor with tears in her eyes...

(A/N: Translation: How dare you... I will kill you all! Yes cringey I know)
