3 hours later

Elias walked out of his room, feeling refreshed. He had a nap and played with his pokemon 

Elias wasn't stressed at all.

Why would he be stressed?

He Barely felt anything, stress including

If he wins, he wins 

If he loses, he loses

The rewards are Appetizing, but he doesn't even know what they are 

Suddenly, he heard a knock on the door

"Mr Aldine, Your Presence is required on the main stage," The staff member said, bringing Elias to the stage 

"Understood" 

Walking onto the stage, Elias was Stunned by the sheer amount of people in the Stadium. This stadium has 200,000 seats and Elias couldn't see an empty one. Do the people put this much Hope on this?

"Welcome ladies and Gentlemen to the 150th Regional Crafting Competition!"  Raoul said 

"Today will be our first match!" The announcer said  "Joleen Sargent From goldenrod city Vs Elias Aldine from petalburg city!"

This sparked Exicitment from specific area's of the crowds

"This is Elias first Appearance , While this is Joleen's 5th Appearance. She took 12th place, 11th place, 12th place, 9th place and 10th place respectively!"  This sparked Excitement in the crowd. A Veteran vs  Rookie? they were praying to the Unfortaunte kid

In a booth in the stadium

"Is this your kid Briney?" A elder man said, "I expected more." 

"Hey at least he'll do better than 9th as your student" Mr Briney snarled back

"The item will be randomly Selected then an expert will do a performance to refresh the Participants mind," The announcer said. Suddenly, a Screen showed up and flickered between the items before reaching a Normal looking band

"The item Chosen is a choice band!" The announcer stated

Suddenly, Joleen's lips curled 

"Shit." She said. The choice band was easily the hardest item. But if she can't make it, The Beginner Infront of her defiantly won't

"I'll make sure to make you kneel and apologize," Joleen said 

"Oh? It seemed like there's some bad blood between them!" The announcer said, trying to hype the audience

Suddenly, the expert came out 

"Choice bands are Made from Ariados string, Which is strong and powerful," The expert said  "They give a Pokemon a humongous Boost to their attack, but they can only Choose one move, which can be cripling" He explained  "To turn it into The band, you need a loom" He then explained the complex Period of Handling a loom, which was a delicate process. The silk could easily snap, even if the ariados string is powerful. If you Loom it the wrong way or not fast enough, it turns out wonky

"As expected Of the Expert, It's a Perfect Grade Choice band!" The announcer said

The Grades of the Items are Low-Medium-High-Expert-Perfect-Grandmaster

there's normally one Grandmaster In each region.

There's one in Hoenn, but he's in his 90's and lives in seclusion. He apparently teaches Great talents and is also Blessed By Green onion 

"It's now the contestants Time to Create The item," The announcer said 

Suddenly, staff flooded the Stadium as they presented Looms and Materials in front of Elias and Joleen 

"The Time .... Begins now!" The announcer cheered, As long as the crowd

Elias found it incredibly easy, the movements of the expert were Engraved in his head.

Meanwhile, Joleen was having a hard time handling the silk. She didn't specialize  in silk at all

"15 minutes have passed!" The announcer screamed, "Hands up!" The announcer said 

The dead fish eyes Elias moved his hands up with a calm expression

Joleen's Forehead was Beaded with sweat

"Now, to Bring in our Judges!" The announcer said  "The one and only, Crafting Grandmaster of Sinnoh and the Grandfather of champion of Sinnoh, Cynthia, Please Welcome Darwin Carolina!" The announcer said 

Screams of Excitement rose from the audience, who was excited at the opportunity at experiencing the wisdom of a grandmaster

"Thank you for bringing this old man here, I'm excited to be here," He said with a humble smile "Now, let's see these 2 Talented Whippersnappers Items?" His gaze sharpened looking at Elias, but quickly returned to normal

"Oh?" Elias didn't miss the look

"Joleen, Please present your Item," The announcer said causing the prideful little miss to Stroll up there and show the Grandmaster 

"Hm. Not bad for a woman of your age. The item is Structure isn't the most precise, but It gets the job done. It should be able to last a trainer two months and priced at 150,000 Pokedollars. The item is a Medium grade" Darwin said,  Causing a light clap from the audience 

With a prideful smile, Joleen shot a Glance at Elias, who stood there with a blank expression as always

"Now, Elias, present your Item." 

Elias walked up, Presenting his item

"Perfect grade." Darwin said, "Priced as 300,000 Pokedollars." He said with a smile

The crowd was silent 

Darwin suddenly Went up and Grabbed the Experts choice band, which was the perfect grade

"This is a perfect grade Choice band and this is that boys choice band." Darwin said "Any differences?" 

The crowd were stunned. Indeed. it looked the same  

"Uh-Ah It seemed Elias Kickstarted it with a Perfect Grade Choice band! Will this kickstart the name of a genius?" The announcer hyped

 

"W-what.  N-no There was no way that a beginner like you could make that" Joleen said 

Suddenly, Elias poker face became a smile as he looked towards her

"Indeed," Mr Briney said with a smile

"How does 24th Place for your student feel Alfred?" Mr Briney's smile widened 

"Hmph." Alfred walked out , embarrassed
