Sreams resounded in the wide courtyard before the dojo while bodies were being thrown around.

The main culprit was someone Dain recognized.

'The to-be hero hunter.'

Dain barely opened the door before a body hit him.

'Yup, comedy is also an important part of this world. Or perhaps its more about being nonsensical.'

Getting up posed to be a challenge for his teenager body. The people here were martial artists after all, people with huge amounts of muscle mass and/or density.

Barely had he gotten himself up before he had to dodge another body.

'It seems this guy is actually aiming for me. Very well, lets teach the bastard a lesson.'

[Memory of the past - Cold Massacre, Quick Start]

...

Garo had noticed the person entering the dojo, he had been a bit hesitent to do anything about him since he seemd to be quite young.

But those eyes. The moment he saw him he knew.

'This kid, the gleam in his eyes even eclipses most monsters.'

Garo felt danger but as he was in the middle of a battle he simply threw the bodies at him.

As expected the teen wasn't even shaken as he got up and doged the incapacitated martial artists.

Garo loved to taunt, but as he wanted to open his mouth a feeling of dread filled him.

'This kid, could he actually be a monster?'

"Hey kid, what are y-"

The teens body suddenly expanded and filled with power and the eyes which looked at him started to burn his skin.

The level of pressure he exuded was even greater than his masters.

'That old coot couldn't even compare to this kid? No, its just that I never saw him being angry.'

...

Dain felt the memories of his past lives fill him.

Each of them were precious to him, and each contained power beyond the reach of humans. This wasn't exactly world power, but instead it was his insight into those powers.

Memories were not only precious because of their importance to who he was, they were also his strength. His foundation, his pillar. The feeling those powers gave him, the talents his body had lost after returning them to the world. Even some of the gifts he received from the worlds.

It wasn't too hard for him to tap into them and extrapolate the power from back then.

Dain had a lot more power than what was displayed on his system.

For example the memories of Cold Massacre provided him a killing intent and instinct beyond human understanding, while Quick Start expedited the process of replicating those feelings. Quick Start also granted him a increase to his base stats.

This was the reason for his body becoming that of an adults and muslces forming at a impossible pace.

'Though such power is only temporary, I have to beat this guys ass before that. I don't care if I make him remember me, since I decided to become a 'hero' I would take actions they would.'

Dain rushed at Garo but did not intend to attack, instead he called upon more memories.

Not only could he use the forms of powers in previous worlds, he could also gain the world talents from them at the same time.

[Memory of the past - Serial Amplification]

The talent of Origin, it allowed each action to be amplified without limit. Talents exceed powers in the amount of stress his body has to bear, but are also far more powerful.

Dain and Garo collided, with Garo punching and Dain barely blocking with his armes.

[Defense and stability amplified]

The power from the talent coursed through Dain as he was able to stand his ground against the forceful punch.

He could keep blocking, but due to fearing reaching his limit and Garo using grappeling to throw him off balance he struck.

Garo's punch caused some wounds to his arms but being so close allowed Dain to knee Garo's waist.

Though Garo seemed to be too fast for him and not only blocked his attack but also struck back. He hit Dain's shin and almost broke it. Exploting the stagger Dain experienced after pain Garo decided to use even more power and swung his right hand at Dain's shoulder.

[Agility and stability amplfied]

[Defense and stability amplified]

Due to Quick Start Dain was able to expedite his body to its prime, yet the instincts of the teen body did not receive enough stimulation to progress beyond a teenagers aka. novices state. Not only did this cause Dain to stagger but his reaction speed was too slow, his mind was quick but he was not used to this body yet after all.

Dain could read Garo's attack and knew how much damage it would cause, but had no way to avoid it. The most he could do was position, focus and prepare for a counter attack.

He tilted his body to the right, retracted his leg and steadied himself. He managed to succeed but his shoulder was certainly hurt.

[Defense and stability amplified]

With successive amplifications to his stability, he didn't fly back, neither did he move for even a millimeter.

His left arm was slightly limp, but he could still gather some power. It seemed that Garo hadn't been able to break it, something he should have been able to do due to his physical might. Perhaps his Cold Massacre had taken some of the brunt due to pressuring Garo.

'He is not someone who has experienced true killing intent yet, perhaps there is a chance if I used Heavy Intent with another memory.'

Dain chose to wait until the correct moment and strike with all his might.

The two exchanged more attacks, with Garo being in the winning side. Though Dain was slowly getting stronger, and Garo could notice.

Garo pulled back and decided to probe Dain.

"You are pretty good for a kid, or should I say a monster? The way you look at me and your attacks you act more like one then a human. We are quite alike, but you are far more like a hunter then me."

Dain decided to entertain the taunting Garo.

'The poses this guy puts on are quite something, does he think we are in a show?'

"Heh, 'uncle', you're also something else. Such muscle density and aura doesn't belong to a normal human."

Dain decided to go neutral, but was a bit annoyed with Garo calling him a kid. Him, someone who was a serial killer and managed to amplify his killing intent to extreme lengths?

'Laughable!'

The two weren't far apart in the age range, causing both to be annoyed with each others jabs.

"I'll see for how much longer you will be able to hold on, I have to clean these fools up and go. Get out of my way or you will land in a hospital."

Dain did not say anything else. He had recovered a bit of power.

[Stamina recovery amplified]

'This talent is really something precious, sadly I have to end this now, else my body won't be able to sustain it and it will turn into permenant damage.'

The two once again exchanged blows, but this time each brought something new on the table.

Due to his inexperienced body he had to exchange some attacks for the killing instinct of Cold Massacre to sink in. Now he would be able to bring out its full potential.

'[Memory of the past - Amplified Cold Massacre]!'

'I'll have to use the old man's technique again! Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist!'

Both felt the power their conterpart exuded. Dain knew that most of his attacks would be redirected and blocked as he read his opponents movments. Garo felt the dread exuding from the weird kid magnify by multitudes.

He would soon experience that that was not all that happened.

'My body is taking the full brunt of my powers and talents, not only does this mean my time runs short, it also causes it to be able to gather the most power possible.'

Flames burnt in both their eyes as they struck each other.

[Limiter +5%, Sealed +5%]

They both suddenly got stronger, both of their Limiters were being unlocked bit by bit. One by sheer fear of death, another by the pressure burdening his body to its limits.

The attack caused a shockwave, yet neither party faultered. Both continued to exchange blows, strike joints, even moving with fast speeds in order to secure an advantage entangling with each other. They seemed to be equals, but in the end one power triumphed another. Dain's attacks not only hit hard, but also contained savagery as it tore flesh such that even while redirecting the blows, Garo still received injuries. Garo slowly succumbed to the damage, even with his superhuman endurance.

It was a difference in technique Dain's Cold Massacre proverbially beat an inch and stole a mile. Plus, Dain had used this technique to fight both the supernatural threats in Origin and the militery in World 3. He fused all his experiences into a technique which was capable of taking down any being - be they beast, man or celestial.

Meanwhile, Garo was a genius, but at this point he had only started his growth in regards to unlocking the Limiter. Reality dictated that Garo would be defeated by Dain, even if he was a unique individual. Both grew in the battle, but Dain grew more since he had more options at his disposal.

Yet, Dain knew it was not over, that is why he took out his trumpth card. Garo was currently in a bad situation but Dain knew through experience that if he let up even a bit he would rebound back and beat him. His body also started to hurt, he had to make a breakthrough now or it would start becoming a detriment to the battle.

[Heavy Intent]

[Memory of the past - Custom Technique - Serial Finish]

[Strenght and agility magnified immensly]

*kreck*

'Fuck! It seems that I will have to be bedridden for a while.'

...

Garo was startled at the sheer opposition projected by his opponent, even while sparring with the old coot didn't give him so much pressure. Much less the terror he experienced.

*Hack*

He coughed up blood but was assulted even rougher then before.

'This... *ack* kid.. ugh, does he plan to kill me? It couldn't be that he is actually a monster right? No, he still seems to be right in the head, but where did he learn this martial art, I haven't felt such pain in a long time...'

While thinking he stumbled and was hit in the abodmen, but held the kids arm and struck back. Though his opponent managed to defend himself in time receiving no damage.

'Damn it, even my attacks can't do anything. Even the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist barely blocks his attacks. This is bad if I don't do--'

His thought process was interrupted as a wave of unease swept through him followed by a feeling so indescribably close to death he couldn't help but flich, leaving him wide open.

'OH SH--'

"Arghh-!"

A punch into his abodmen sealed the deal. He flew into a wall and almost burst through it. His opponent on the other hand followed him and almost knocked him uncoscious.

Garo realized that he was in deep shit and decided to burst out with full power.

But this time he didn't fight back, no, he fleed. His mind was in a mess and blood was flowing heavily, his bones ached and his flesh was removed to the point that bone started showing, but no damage to his vitals.

He was also stupified seeing how his opponent didn't continue chasing him. This even caused him to stop and attempt to gather himself.

Garo knew he couln't fight back even after a few minutes, he knew that the teen was able to catch up to him from the sheer amount of power escaping his body, but still decided to stay back.

"*Uegh*, kid you really did one on me. *Phew* Now I am certain that you are some type of monster, but most importantly you managed to defeat me. So why let me go?"

Dain lowered his powers to their minimum in order to not be found out and spoke.

"You are Garo right?"

Garo was astounded that the kid knew his name, but also pissed off that he did not answer him.

"*Tsk* Thats right, what gave it away."

Dain knew what this was and just decided to play along.

"You seem to be awfully happy at being beat."

Garo smiled at his statment. Dain wasn't wrong.

"I aways wanted to see monsters succeed and the heroes pay for their hypocrisy. They *phew* always put themselves on pedestals taking advantage of those who are weaker. It's nice to see a fellow monster capable of such power."

"No. You are wrong."

"Huh, what do you mean?"

"I am not a monster. I am a killer and I am going to be a S-class hero."

Garo was even more stupified. What was this kid on about.

"What are you, a child soldier? And why become a hero, you are so strong that you could do anything you want."

Dain, for the first time in a long while, smilled with happieness and teasing.

"Uncle, not only am I stronger then you, I am also far more cruel. And even worse, I am a hero in order to gain more power. Aren't I one of those hypocrytical heroes you were whining about?"

Garo's streak of suprises continued until he caught up on what poin the kid was making. He let out the same smile. Though he had to say, this day was quite suprising.

"Alright, I'll do my best to hunt you don't and turn you into a broken mess."

Now it was Dain's turn to be stupified.

"You are being too ambigous, now you better run before I hunt you down and put you in your place."

They both looked at each other seriously and broke out into laughter.

"Hahaha, kid you really are something. Alright, I'll go. We will definetly see each other again Hunter."

"Back to you, hero hunter."

Garo even waved at Dain, who returned the gesture.

'No camaras, no witnesses and a friendly Garo. This is great.'

But there was someone who saw them seperating on good terms. It was someone who Dain would reconginze for his sour face. He would also not care.

...

Dain had more important things to do now, his body was aching and he had to call the ambulance for these poor sods. He did just that.

He waited for the ambulance and took his seat on one of the wood stairs of the dojo.

His body ached and the pain was comperable to Garo's punches and kicks. The pain would not let up and he would have to do something.

Thanfully within his memories were not only the ways to solve thigns with violence and be burdened with stress. In World 3 he had developed [Memories from the past] and it was increadibly inefficent, causing the state of his body to be even worse and him to become a cripple halfway through the world. But in the end, he managed to create a way to replenish his strenght and vitality.

He managed to hold out this long due to the buffs from Serial Amplification, but those were only temporary. He had to solve the problem and fast, least he blacked out due to the strain.

'[Memory from the past - Custom technique - Meditation] will suffice but medical attention is required.'

So, he calmed down, breathed and a power from the depths of his spirit enveloped him, causing him to black out regardless. The difference was that he was actually asleep and not purely unconscious from pain, plus the effects of Meditation permeated through his body.

...

"Dain! Dain! Come on Dain! How did you get here?! First you sneak out and then you are beaten to an inch of your life."

'Damn it. This accursed plot.'
