I can't say for sure how long we were up there. It felt like an instant, yet, at the same time, an eternity. Trippy.

S was staring up at the sky. He seemed deep in thought about something. I just continued what I was doing before. I'm not sure what S was thinking about, but it seemed important.

Eventually, S's breathing returned to normal, and my tears dried up. I still hurt like hell, though. I think my wounds I got from this morning opened up again, amidst all this excitement. I got a number of fresh ones, as well, which wasn't fun. My new robe was all torn up as well. Guess when I get my other clothes back from Heremays, I'll be handing him a new thing to work on...

Anyways, it didn't take long until what I was doing went from 'clinging to' S, to 'hanging off of S'.

And things stayed like that, for a while.

...

It was pretty cold up there. Yet, being there with S... It was warm, too. Warm in the best way possible, I think.

...

"Right... You okay, Beyes?" S asked, after a while. He sounded uncharacteristically serious, and... Sad.

"Oh, uhm, yeah. M-mostly." I said.

There was a pause, for a moment. "No, you aren't. 'Cmon, lets get you to a healer." S said.

"N-no, I-i'm-" I coughed. "-f-fine." I said.

"No, you aren't." S repeated, seriously.

"... Alright..." I conceded.

"Can you walk?"

"... Probably..." I'm not particularly confident in that statement, to be honest.

"Right, I'll carry you." S said.

My face felt like it was on fire. "W-wha-"

Before I knew it, S was giving me a piggyback ride. I thought I was gonna melt.

"We wont be long. The guild always keeps a healer on standby, in case someone gets hurt running a job." S explained. "They should be willing to help you out."

"O-okay." I said, weakly.

S looked down at the ground below. He paused for a moment. "Sorry, could you get us down?" He asked.

"O-oh, uh, yeah." I said, putting my hands together, and making us an entrance to the nearby alley.

S stepped through, and we began making our way through town, heading towards the guild hall.

Y'know, as embarrassing as this is, I can't say I mind it. It certainly beats walking, anyways. I know I said I could walk earlier, but... I'm not quite sure if that was the truth, to be honest.

But, even beyond that... It's... Comfortable. I guess. I... I like this.

...

Man... It's been quite an eventful day. I'm already feeling... Kinda tired...

...

I eventually closed my eyes, and my mind began to drift.

...

Y'know... As much as I hate to see S in pain... He's being really... cool... right now...

...

Thinking about it... I probably... could've just warped us near... the guild hall...

...

I'm... Glad I didn't...

...

I really am... Selfish... aren't I?

...

Sorry, S.............

For many weeks to come, in the town of Starsford, a story was told.

This story, like many others, had it's skeptics. It was farfetched in nature, and almost everyone told it differently.

Regardless, it was popular among youths, among liars, and particularly among those who were bored enough to care about it.

It was a simple story, the story of a strange occurrence, far above the center of town, on one particularly dark, starless night.

In an instant, on that night, without warning, some strange, flying anomaly appeared over town. The people below were awed or horrified. Usually both. A moment later, the thing disappeared.

Some said it was a glimpse of an angel and a demon. Some claimed ancient magical creatures of legend. Some claimed that it was a terrible omen of tragedies to come. A few claimed that it was just some really large birds. Nobody really believed those guys. Others still claimed that it was just a trick of the lights, or the product of some minds that were a little under the weather.

And a few had the silly idea that it was a pair of young kids. Drifting through the sky, fighting a razors edge battle that neither was prepared for. A ludicrous notion, I'm sure you'll agree.

All stories say that it was there for but a moment, before disappearing the very next, as if it were never there at all. Though, that didn't stop many a guard from searching, mind you. To no avail, of course.

Many believed it, many denied it, and plenty claimed to have seen it. Yet, nobody can truly say for certain what happened on that peculiar night, above the center of town.

One story that few deny, however, is one that happened shortly after. This is the story of a particular boy everyone knew, walking through town, while carrying along a sleeping boy, clad in tattered robes as black as the night, that few had claimed to have seen before, resting his head on the his shoulder.

The boy everyone knew walked a way that none had seen from him walk before. He walked with grief, shame, pain, and great purpose. Though, the townspeople didn't know that, because, I mean, that's a lot to communicate, and that cant really be conveyed just from body language alone. You'd have to be some crazy empath or mind reader or something to be able to figure that out, frankly.

Regardless, everyone could tell that he was uncharacteristically serious, and doing something important. That much was obvious.

And everyone gave way.

zzzzzZZzz... hehe... dragons... zZzzzzZZZzz... S... ZzzzZzz... darkness, bwehh... zzzzZZzzZZZzz...

"We're here." S said, a little loudly, and shaking me a little.

I jolted awake.

"Ah." I exclaimed. I then blinked really hard for a bit, and yawned, as I actually woke up. "S-sorry, did I fall asleep?"

"Don't worry about it. C'mon, let's head inside." He said as we went inside. Dunno why he said 'c'mon', 'cus he's still carrying me.

Wait, he's still carrying me?

I once again felt like I was going to melt.
