I stepped through the hole as fast as my legs could carry me. I intended to leave it open for a few more seconds, just in case Sis changed her mind and needed a retreat, but one look on her face told me that wasn't necessary. She had sort of the same look that she had when she was fishing, except with just a pinch of murder in her eyes. It was pretty scary, to be honest.

Gee, here I am, the master of darkness (to be), getting intimidated by an 8 year old girl in fishing gear... Well, it's an 8 year old that cant die, so... Nope, still embarrassing.

I dropped myself into one of the convenient alleys in Starsford. Not sure why, to be honest. That's just the first place I thought to go.

As I arrived, I noticed, just briefly, that that black stuff was seeping out of my hands again. No idea how long it's been there. And, just like before, it receded as soon as I noticed it. Dangit, what are you!?

Ahk, I'll worry about that later. Important stuff going on now.

Okay, uh, warping here probably wasn't the best idea, in retrospect. Thinking about it, I should probably be nearby, so I can bring her back somewhere when she's done. I don't wanna make her walk all the way back here.

. . .

Though, actually, now that I'm thinking about it, now that I'm back in town, I may as well go shopping for sleeping bags or bedrolls or whatever. It's getting kind of late, the stores might be closing soon, and-

. . ?

Huh? It's... Raining? Wasn't it a beautiful, cloudless day a second ago? I guess it is getting kinda late, maybe I just didn't notice-

AH!

Lightning? Wha-

AHHH!

Thunder?! And it didn't leave me enough time to even finish my thought! That means it's close, right? I think that's how it works-

AH! Lightning agai- AHHH! GEEZ!

And, before long, what was a light rain turned into a total downpour. I flipped my hood up.

"What the hell?" The screams from the streets mimicked my thoughts. "Where the f*ck did this storm come from?!"

"KIDS, INSIDE, QUICKLY!" I heard a distraught mother yell, along with the general screaming and crying of children.

The rain was coming down hard, and the streets were in chaos, people running for any sort of cover, putting whatever they had in their hands over their heads as they did so. It only got worse as the wind started picking up. Man, I'd hate to be one of those street merchants right now. But I'd love to be a tavern owner. I bet they're getting a lot of surprise business.

Uh, anyways, this storm... I can't imagine it's a coincidence. I don't exactly know what the heck Sis pissed off, but, whatever it is... Hoooo boy...

Y'know, I can't help but feel like something like this should've had a LOT more buildup. Just how much did we friggin' skip?! This is ridiculous!

Anyways, I put my hands together, and created a hole here and there, just big enough to see what's going on. Missed setup or not, I feel like I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't watch whatever's about to happen.

Oh, and I also used the N.W.Ts, the dark tentacle noodle things to create a makeshift umbrella or poncho or something for myself, so I don't get as drenched. Kinda sad that this is the first thing I've actually used dark magic for in a while...

Anyways, the fight!

The storm seemed to get worse and worse the closer one got to the (haha) butte, and the thing itself was surrounded by a sheer wall of wind that went up and down as far as they eye can see, like a tornado or something. I actually had to create another, closer hole in the eye of the storm before I could see anything.

The view inside was insane. Though it was safe in there from the storm, the wall of wind that surrounded created an incredible oppressive atmosphere, and distorted the chaos of the storm outside, which created an aesthetic that made my heart race. All that combined with the weird cosmic crap the centicorn's got going on, and the whole thing was cool enough to make me swoon.

Oh, and I should mention that lightning and thunder and all that's still going on outside, at an alarming rate, at that. It's just that reacting to it every time would get tiresome.

Sis chuckled, despite all of this. "Impressive little tantrum you've kicked up here." She said to the ever angrier centicorn. Geez, haven't you pissed this thing off enough already?!

"ARE QUITE CERTAIN YOU WANT THOSE TO BE YOUR LAST WORDS, HUMAN?" The cenitcorn said, still using that big, echo-y wrath voice.

"Tsk tsk tsk..." Sis began, waggling her finger like a cartoon character. "That's where you're wrong, buddy."

"DON'T GET COCKY WITH ME, WORM."

"Well, that's not very nice." Sis said, a heap of irony in her voice, "After all, I think you'll find that you and I aren't so different."

"ENOUGH TALK." The cenitcorn shouted, with a huff, it's eye's screaming death. Coincidentally at the same time as lightning struck, with thunder right after. Ooh, niiiice.

"I suppose." Sis said, reaching down at her side.

Huh. Y'know, now that I'm thinking about it, Sis doesn't have a weapon, does she? Did she forget? Nah, maybe she just intends to use magic. I think she said she could use light magic that one time. Wait, what's she reaching for-

Oh. Uh, yeah. Y'know, I really should have seen this coming.

She pulled out her friggin' fishing rod.

Guess that explains the sword hilt.

"Finally... Let's dance." Sis said, with a dubious smile.
