*Millie perspective*

"Millie, target the small eye at the top! It is the main eye!"

A young and familiar voice resounded towards the fox which flew quickly in the air.

Liu Xun, he can tell where this guy's weakness is? How unfathomable.

The sliver fox thought as she looked up at the peak of the overwhelmingly large flesh mountain. Above troves and troves of eyes and mouth, lay a tiny eye at the peak. The size of the eye is perhaps only slightly bigger than a regular human eye. In a large mountain that spans at least over 50 metres in height, it would definitely be difficult to spot this existence amongst the other numerous large eyes which act as red herrings.

"YOU LITTLE PEEEESSSSTTT!!"

Shaggaroth screamed out in rage as it released upon numerous attacks on the youth below.

The fox was initially worried for the youth. However, it seems that he was managing perfectly fine on his own as he seamlessly weaved past all the attacks as if a rhythmic dance. The silver fox lightly shake her head as she took a light leap as she hopped up in the air. Arcing above the flesh mountain, she glared upon the small eye at the peak. The yellow iris stared back at the fox as the mouth beside gave it a light sneer.

"So what if you can find my weakness, you are still just a trivial fox. Just die!"

The surrounding eyes flashed as beams launched towards Millie.

"Hmph-"

Millie swerved as her tail lit afire with blue flames. Launching the azure fireblasts, she launched backwards whilst avoiding all the beams. The flames flew forth as it collided against the small eye. The fire burned for a few moments before extinguishing. All that remained was an unblemished eye.

"What-!?"

"Heh-did you believe that your attacks will work on me! How foolish!"

More beams flashed out as the fox dodged the attacks. The aerial skirmish continued as both side does not relent. From afar, a red light flashed.

*Liu Xun perspective*

Liu Xun lifted upon the spear as the blade swept forth, flinging a bunch of attacks away again. He looked forth as he stared at the large mouth.

"Tsk, this is taking too long. It will out-endure us at this rate."

The senior clicked his tongue as he glared forth. Looking at the same mouth, there is copious amount of blood leaking out from it, yet the injuries were healing at a visible rate.

"Argh, this stupid meat sack sure is very hardy, I kind of regret not weeding it out when it was just a teeny weeny Bone Tempering beast."

He said out in frustration as several blinding lights flashed from above.

[3x Devastation Beams coming in from 11' o'clock. (Moderate)]

[2x Devastation Beams coming in from 1' o'clock. (Moderate)]

[Flesh arm is coming in from below. (Strong)] 

"Another sneak attack huh. Well, that is all this tub of lard can do. Well boy, I will leave the bottom to you."

The senior snickered as he swing the spear forward in an arc again.

[Warning! Red Flesh Curse Beam coming in from 6' o'clock. Impact in 3 seconds! (Overwhelming)]

Both the senior and Liu Xun was surprised by the notice. A sudden attack from the back, this was unexpected...on second thought, this was unlikely to be from Shaggaroth since the direction of attack is different. Turning his body halfway back, he saw a flash of red approaching him. Liu Xun widened his eye in surprise as he estimated the size of the blast and noticed that it had a rather large radius.

"Kiddo, I am going jump to the side and open up some shields! You look out for the attack below!"

The youth swung the spear on his right as light beams were flicked away with ease. The body then did a backward leap as a golden yellow shield formed towards the left side of the body which was facing the red beam.

CRRRAAACCCCKKKK!

The ground below rumbled as a large flesh appendage rose from below at swift speed.

CLLLLAAAANNNNG!

The ax slammed down in swift motion as it met with the surprise attack. The force from below and the back launched the youth in a forward diagonal arc as the power pressed against the youth who resisted it.

"Heh, looks like we are going directly at the big boss!"

The senior's crazed laughter rang out as the spear swung down against the arm, launching the youth further forward as the rebounding force propagated him forth. Fortunately, the few forces had forced him away from the sight of the red beam which still seemed to be ongoing.

The red beam continued forward unobstructed as the sole impediment was no longer present. It tore through the appendage seamlessly as it ran right towards the large mouth.

"WHHHHHATTTT!?"

Shaggaroth was clearly not expecting this incoming attack, it was initially content that the beam had allowed it a larger window to do a sneak attack. But the target had avoided his ambush and also moved out of the way, now it was all up to it to take the blast.

The scarlet beam tore forth as it dug into the flesh. Flesh and blood began to pour out in great volumes as more flesh is gouged out with the unending beam.

"GUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH-----THE PAAAINNNN!"

"PPPAAIIINN!"

"AAARGH!"

The anguished voices rang out from the body from the various mouths as cried out in pain. From the side, the youth observed the beam as he looked back at the source. Behind, he saw a dried and tattered corpse wearing a bloodied yellow robe releasing the beam from his palms.

"Senior Gan!"

Liu Xun looked back in alert with concern. The senior was definitely using a life-consuming move.

"Huht, that old man seems to be ready to put everything on the line! This blow would have been problematic for me head-on even when I was alive."

The senior mentioned in a forlorn voice as he glanced back at the old man's stick-like body.

The red beam that was tearing into Shaggaroth's body carved a fissure-like impression onto the mountain of flesh. Shaggaroth seemed to flail its arms around and launch beams towards the red beam. However, the strength of the beam just tore everything else apart, rendering its efforts futile as the beast continue to take large amounts of damage.

GRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

A large howl of grief continued to echo out as the body was ravaged by the onslaught of the beam. In the air, Liu Xun looked down upon where the beam had just torn past. It was a great opportunity created by Senior Gan, even if he had to pay a dear price for it. Above, Millie was still relentlessly attacking the main eye which seemed to be very well guarded. Some damage was already done, yet Shaggaroth still seemed far from falling. Sweat was seen trickling off the silvery-white fox as it continued its barrage of attacks whilst avoiding the grazing beams of light.

"What is it boy, want to help the damsel in distress?"

The senior's voice sounded out.

"Un, it looks like Senior Gan is already tearing a hole into the main mouth. Why not hasten the process by attacking the eye since I do not want to be anywhere near the red beam. System, inspect Shaggaroth's condition again."

[Initiating scan...]

The response were prompt as the body issued out various commands at once. To the viewer, it would be akin to a one-man comedy show. The great ones must be observing this phenomenon with great interest. A self willingly possessed system user having conversations with himself while fighting out a fight that is way beyond his paygrade.

"Hmm, what you say is true...then let us go and help the lass then! Or lady fox I should say."

The demonic senior laughed out as the rest of the body slowly landed upon the mountain of flesh. The foothold on the mountain was rather poor as Shaggaroth's body was bouncy and uneven like human flesh. It was akin to stepping onto a cushion bed. Still, the youth rushed upon the mountain filled with crevice-like mouths and eyes as he slowly reached for the summit.

"Millie! We are going to help you with this."

Liu Xun shouted out as his footsteps rang closer towards the ongoing fight above.

"Wha-"

"Hm!?"

Both Millie and Shaggaroth's main eye was surprised by the intrusion of the newcomer. Millie already have a few cut and grazes on her body as the silver fox sustained many light injuries whilst trading blows. The eye at the peak was also far from pristine and numerous slashes surrounded it with blood leaking out.

Looking at the screen flashing before him, both Liu Xun and the senior within his body were rather surprised by the update. Since the red beam was released, Shaggaroth had sustained major damage to its main bodies. Victory that seemed initially impossible at the start was rather close at sight at this point. The initial scan which had 1.8 million was drastically reduced to just over a million, Shaggaroth itself was in much poorer health condition. The black-robed youth gave a smile of relief as he slowly focused his eyes between the two titans that were alerted of his presence.

Leaping up into the air, Liu Xun gave a quick spin as he swung his ax overhead. The blade tip smashed down as he continued his spin, his target focussing towards that single small eye.

CLANG!

The ax collided with a yellow barrier as it was just several inches away from the weak membrane. Liu Xun looked at the tiny eye with slight surprise. The force ricocheted the youth back into the air as he managed to land, surprisingly on top of the silver fox Millie.

"Why are you even here? It is so dangerous for someone your level to participate in this fight, completely suicide! You idiot!"

Millie who had caught the flying Liu Xun started complaining to him. Even though she had been engaging in her own fight above, she had also spent quite a bit of effort to look out for Liu Xun below whilst he was fighting against the main mouth earlier. Her indignant voice carried slight resentment towards the youth who recklessly participated in this fight between titans.

"Er, I guess I came to help? Anyway, Shaggaroth is already seriously injured. I am sure every bit of help is welcomed. Senior Gan had also launched that red beam earlier that weakened it by a lot."

Liu Xun scratched his cheek as he looked towards the silver fox. He had really no excuse for barging into this fight initially since he had not mentioned his intentions much earlier like Senior Gan did. Nevertheless, Shaggaroth was already close to its last legs. The demonic senior was rather quiet at this point as it had not said a word yet.

"Huh, so even puny qi gathering cultivators are willing to look down on me now. Wait a moment, you aren't really qi gathering, are you. That dumb mouth below kept complaining to me about a qi gathering brat causing a lot of trouble. But with a closer look...how interesting. A demonic possession, huh. With a Core Inversion being, probably one that is actually stronger than that dumb fox."

The mouth that was beside the eye muttered out in a slow and hoarse voice. The eye itself narrowed as it observed the black-robed youth very carefully. Its complete attention had veered off the silver-white fox as it looked at Liu Xun with complete interest.

"What? Is that true? Liu Xun, it is dangerous to make a deal with devil cultivators! I hope you have not wagered anything like your soul for this fight."

Millie notioned out with worry as she momentarily stopped her attacks as well.

"Not really, the boy is just loaning me his body. I am just temporarily lending him my strength, for the price of free! Look at me, am I a devil cultivator right here or a saint! Heh."

The demonic senior chimed out as he gave a light laugh after his joke.

"I guess, that was how things have worked out."

Liu Xun mentioned with a slight sigh as the two other Core Inversion great being looked at the youth with continued interest. It is very rare to witness a demonic possession since most great cultivators are not willing to possess weak qi gathering bodies but to actually for a symbiotic rather than parasitic relationship which benefits the weaker party is something that is super rare though not unheard of.

"How intriguing, very interesting. It seems that we can no longer play around anymore, with two actual Core Inversion foes rather than one. Hey stupid mouth, let us go all out right now! The both of you shall be rewarded with this experience since you have forced us to such a point. Meet our full power!"

The flesh mountain in front of Millie and Liu Xun started to shake as the surroundings started to vibrate at a quick pace. Sensing danger, the silver fox jumped backward in the air to a distance much further away from Shaggaroth.

"Liu Xun, hang tight! We are moving back a bit."

By this point, the red beam below them had already faded out as the energy source was completely exhausted. Liu Xun could not confirm Senior Gan's condition at this point, he could not afford to as warning messages started to flood around him.

The eyeballs on the flesh body started to detach as it started to float around the flesh body. The fleshy arms multiplied in quantity as the initial eight tentacle-like arms slowly doubled, then tripled in numbers. 24 thick fleshy arms were flailing about in the air whilst the numerous floating eyeballs looked at the duo who were in the air.

"Magnificent, ain't it. These skills are really strong and have yet to meet a survivor. Still, the energy consumption for this is really high, so I cannot do this very often. Hey, mouth eat up!"

The sole eye at the peak of the mountain had remained embedded as it had no intention of leaving its safe zone.

"Okay, okay. Time to feast up then!"

The main mouth opened up as it formed a vacuum that started to suck in the surrounding blue metamorphosing beasts.

"GIYAAAH!"

"NOOO HEERRLLPP!!"

"PLEAASE DOOON'T!"

Dozen of the beasts got sucked into the mouth as a few of the flesh-like arms swept in dozens more for the mouth to suck in. The blue metamorphosing beasts which followed Shaggaroth around started to disperse as many tried to flee away from the battle. Even though they were rather brainless beasts, even they could tell that they were sacrificial food sources at this point. It was better to bet on fleeing with one's life than to sit around and wait to get devoured. The entire battlefield became hectic as the initial swarm of metamorphosing beasts was reduced by the red beam at first, and now their own boss was feeding onto the rest. By the end of a few seconds, there was not even a single soul left on the battlefield. The rest of the beasts have already fled off into the darkness.

"Wow, this monster is really merciless. First, it eats the innocent. And now, it eats its own subordinates."

Liu Xun muttered out in surprise.

"That is no surprise, this being is the incarnation of gluttony after all. Especially after expending that energy to maintain that terrifying form, it must have been in dire need of qi."

The demonic senior replied as they continued to watch the scene. As much as the two in the sky would like to disturb the flesh giant's feast. They could still not discount the threat of the float eyeballs and the numerous arms which were still dancing around in the air.

"Hmm, so what now Liu Xun? I cannot really tell where is a safe point to attack at this point."

Millie asked with worry since she was the one moving at this point. The black-robed youth placed his fingers on his chin as he stroked it while pondering.

"System, tell me my remaining qi as well as another scan on Shag-"

"Hey boy, you should postpone that scan. That is just wasting qi at this point."

Liu Xun was about to complete his sentence before he was cut off by the demonic senior.

"But-"

"There is no point doing so. Perhaps you may not be able to sense it, but the lass and I could tell. Shaggaroth's qi strength is about the same as before since it had initially expanded a great deal to use its current abilities and then regained that lost amount through consumption of his followers. So one-third left to go!"

The senior explain out in a serious tone for once. Millie who was under him also gave a slight nod in affirmation.

[Host, qi remaining is 301 643/560 678.] ]

"Well nevertheless, this meatsack has finally popped out its bag of surprises. It is time for us to go in!"

The senior then laughed out as the youth's body jumped away from Millie.

"Wait- Liu Xun!"

Millie shouted out with worry.

"Don't worry about the boy, lass! Worry about yourself, we are going ahead first, kahaha!"

"Yes don't worry about us, Millie! Take care of yourself!"

The two voices said out in a fluid motion from the same body as the black-robed youth dived forward.
