Magic, it an exceedingly strange and miraculous power which is capable of achieving unimaginable feats but the Dawn of Magic force has changed the situation of the Aryana Continent and the whole humanity.

Nobody knew the real cause of this, but as the magi lost their last strands of power, the previously subordinate Sword Gods and Saints reckoned that their time had come, and that the main driving force in the near future of Aryana Continent was the Battle Aura that they possessed.

Without anyone to contain their greed and the fall of their rulers, their own selfish ambitions flared vigorously, and they began to fight among each other. No longer bounded by the fear from the retaliation of the magi, they murdered, pillaged and destroyed to their hearts' desires. The Magi has established an extremely majestic civilization which was at their mercy now.

They hated being under the control of the mighty magi who ruled over them like emperors and vented their anger on these majestic structures built during the age of magical civilization. They would not be satisfied until every one of them were reduced to ashes.

After wantonly destructing everything of the past they turned their attention in founding their own kingdoms or nations. They also wanted to taste the sweet power of authority as they towered over the common folk and were worshipped by their subjects.

But as the Magi faced their end, Sword God's and Saints in their arrogance had forgotten that without the magi's mighty mysterious power in the first place, they did not have the ability to tower like emperors.

As they grew older and their lifespan reached its inevitable end, they discovered that their descendants could not inherit their abilities and they were only ordinary men as they didn't know how to draw out the innate Battle Aura in their blood. This way because only those Magi knew how to utilize and extract this strength, The newly built empires and legacies were left with no eligible heir.

After their inevitable demise, a menacing thousand years of darkness and hopelessness descended onto the humans of Aryana.

Having lost their mighty protector and left with no chance at salvation, the humans could not fend off the dreaded magical beasts and were helpless against their assaults. The rulers become dogs running for their lives as they had no choice but to live in seclusion in the corners of the world for the sake of survival.

The human population on the continent was reduced ridiculously, as uncountable people weren't able to survive, the whole continent was almost deprived of humanity during the thousand years of darkness.

However, their broken lives were rekindled again as one lone heroic warrior miraculously awakened his Battle Aura in a battle to the death with a magical beast while he was hunting.

Using the power of his newly-awakened Battle Aura, he killed the savage beasts and survived. The humans have always held a small hope in their hearts to once again regain their glory hence, they protected the ancient Battle Aura manual that was passed down by ancestors.

The veil of the night were lifted and the rays of hope once again shone upon the humans. The awakening of this sole warrior's Battle Aura was a silver lining and brought hope to the dwindling human race.

The hero brought the humans together as the survivors cooperate together as they research alternative ways to awaken Battle Aura. They wouldn't let this chance pass them by!

In the long years of battling against magical beasts, the humans slowly began to understand the dynamics of Battle Aura and with the help of many great minds they eventually grasped the means of Battle Aura awakening.

Without the magical formations of the magi and given that the Battle Aura manuals left by their ancestors were not applicable to them, the laws were different and humans could only learn from their experiences in battle through the process of trial and error. Their progress was definitely slow, but fortunately steady.

Another thousand years elapsed and the humans have once again become the overlords of the Aryana Continent. Battle Aura was no longer an impossible force to look upto and has become common knowledge. Stimulating the innate magical beast factor in their blood to awaken their Battle Aura and training to achieve higher levels of power allowed the humans to turn the tables against their once again thrive over magical beasts and become the predators instead.

No longer having any threats to their survival, the once unified humans succumb to their greed and broke apart again into different tribes and creeds and once again competed among each other for their own agendas and goals for hundreds of years up until present time.

.....

Outer Zone of Kemosin Islands.

A mild fire was burning silently encircled by dark stones as a few peeled small beasts were roasting at a distance as they were skewered on the ground. Faint smell of appetizing meat was released as it tempted anyone to drool.

A bit away from the small fire, Allen was currently sighing as he practice weaving different kinds of hand seal signs. He was practicing the shinobi art which is released with the help of activating and stimulating various isle in the body in a particular pattern with the help of using hand seals sign.

There were twelve basic hand seals and the different combinations of these hand seals turned into all the hand seals required for using Shinobi Arts. It could be used to attack with element like fire, water, lightning, earth, wind etc. as well as different unusual things like making doppelgangers and phantom clones.

Allen carefully used a series of hand seal and his actions were fast indicating the meticulous practice he has done, even though he had the knowledge of this as well as experience from Hiroki, he still practiced to train his speed but he unfortunately it was all for nothing.

"*sigh* What is the problem? Why isn't it working?" Allen was frustrated because even after trying for two days he was utterly unsuccessful in using the chakkar to use Shinobi Arts.

"The hand seals are correct, the isle I stimulate are correct, the pattern is correct but it has no effect. I don't even feel a drain on my chakkar, it's as if the Shinobi arts are not allowed to exists here or something." Allen wasn't annoyed because he couldn't do it, there would obviously be a need of practice to perfect the art but the problem here is that he cannot even initiate it. If he tries to use a fire attack, let alone fire not even a single ember is released.

His chakkar is stirred and his isle points are stimulated but not even a bit of chakkar is released. This shouldn't be the case, the chakkar is available for walking on vertical plane, or water, he can also extend it on his sword but for some reason it is not possible to use it in a form of Shinobi arts.

"I thought I would be able to learn to adapt according to the peculiar laws and different understanding of this world and modify chakkar but it seems like this world just outright reject this. It's like I thought about learning a new foreign language but the language I decided to get mastery of turned out to be the tongue of dogs! It's not about a different approach, it's a totally different stuff." Allen fumed for a while but he couldn't do anything either so, he tried to calm down and have a pleasant meal.

It was almost 2 days since he started practicing hand seals and his hand was also almost cramped. Till now he had only practiced forming those 12 basic hand seas and he had already became quite skilled in it, but the lack of results disappointed him.

Time slowly passed by as he was immersed in cultivation again. Cultivation isn't something which may produce immediate results but it should be done daily for maximum results. He had already planned his daily schedule to cultivate.

His schedule was to exert himself for cultivating his limit and after that go hunting, he also made sure to keep practicing Shinobi arts, just because it's not fruitful now doesn't mean he would hastily quit. If he cannot find a way, then he would make one.

"There is nothing I could do here in the outskirts, I should go deep inside now." Allen decided to continue his journey as he looked into the dense forest, there is no lack of ferocious beasts inside there so much so, that even Gold Rank Swordsman are not completely sure of their safety but of course, such beasts rarely wander away from their inner core territory which are marked as forbidden areas.

"There is also this!" As Allen choose to go inside he withdraw a few pages which were marked like maps with different labeling from his bag and looked at it. The previous Allen was filled with much enthusiasm for magic. He had always been fascinated with magic.

Allen showed great intrest in Silver Moon Academy's archaeology, language studies and ruin exploration courses, he actually never really signed up for them during his semester because he was very swordsmanship oriented but he also read a lot of books about them.

Ruin exploration refers to the research and study of the architecture and the purpose of buildings left behind from the age of magic as well as the means to excavate such ruins. Archaeology dealt with the distinguishing and handling of artifacts found in ruins and was concerned with determining the purpose and worth of such artifacts.

Language studies was the hardest of the three, given that the languages of the fairies, dragons, gremlins that the magi used were said to contain mystical power and people without magical affinity could not truly grasp the language; even if someone did manage to learn a couple of words, he would only be able to make similar sounds but be unable to reproduce the archaic power contained within each word.

Allen was able to buy various maps of different ruin areas all around the surrounding countries. This particular one is drawn by a rather accomplished scholar who adventure through most of the Kemosin Islands and marked various regions. One of them was a small ruin that was said to be a tower that used to be a magus's residence!

"Magic, Maybe this is the answer I need. If nothing else, I could probably get something about the dynamic of this worlds element." Allen held some faint hope in his heart, the excavation of something like a Magus related structure must have been conducted uncountable times and it may be proceedings even till now so, there are very small chance of getting anything but there is nothing wrong with checking it out.

Allen looked at the map and marked a particular site which is his current goal.
