Kira Slowly stirred awake, both Chaos and Inari were sitting nearby on pillows.

"So our little trouble maker finally awoke after scaring the living daylight out of us ?"

Chaos said while giving Kira a genuine smile.

"Says the person most responsible for this entire situation...."

Inari added on while frowning.

Kira felt she was seeing Inari in a different light, it was hard for her to put a finger on it since everything had been so hectic the last time she physically saw Inari, but her aura was slightly different along with ... are those multiple tails behind her.

"Uhm... I deeply apologize but I don't quite remember what happened, you guys dragged me into your mindspace, and then the next thing is I'm here and both of you have come to be with me?" Kira said confusion filling her voice.

Both Inari and Chaos suddenly looked slightly guilty.

"Well, I believe the best explanation is we made a mistake.

We didn't know enough about what the results of merging our seeds would do, and it seems that it needed sizeable portions of both our energy, so being presented with access to our energy it kind of just latched on to our energy rushing the process.

we had to come here and further provide the seeds much more energy than even creating a new seed would have taken from both of us and you went into a coma while the seed finished merging and even past finally sprouting you didn't wake up, we are beyond happy and relieved to see you well, the process got rushed and we aren't quite sure anyone else would have survived such massive growth in such a short amount of time."

Inari seemed to want to say more but instead held quiet, allowing Kira to speak.

"Guilt?" Kira said this single word, and both Inari and Chaos cringed in response.

Chaos took the lead

"We were truly afraid for a moment that we had messed up by dabbling with something that we ultimately had very little experience with!

I was eager, and I planted the original idea, partially forcing Inari along, if anyone should be blamed it's me.  Can you forgive me?"

Kira spent a moment in silence before she looked at both of them.

"There is nothing to forgive. I was the one who accepted the initial proposal and in doing so I also accepted the risks it included.

I'm just glad I have both of you who clearly dropped everything you were doing to come and ensure everything went well."

Both Inari and Chaos smiled and said in unison,

"Always!"

Hearing both of them warmed Kira's heart she had a family. Kira slowly sat up on the weird mattress, but immediately noticed something off. Had she grown?

Kira spent some time stretching out her arms and analyzing herself. Yep, most definitely.

Kira still felt small compared, to Inari and Chaos but not quite as toddler small anymore, before she could think of anything else another thing ended up distracting her because she was noticing her tail both to the right and to the left of her.

grabbing both, she immediately looked towards Inari who seemed to have tons of tails, it wasn't easy to try to count them so she instead tried to see if she had acquired even more but looking behind her to the best of her ability she only found two.

Kira thought to herself, maybe I should call myself Tails. I doubt I can use them to fly, however...

Kira couldn't help but snicker to herself at her absolutely terrible joke.

Both Chaos and Inari were looking at Kira, hoping to be clued in on what she was so amused by.

and seeing Chaos and Inaris's expectant expression.

"I doubt you will understand, but growing up I played a game where you control moving pictures which had a fox with two tails who could use them to fly by spinning them around.

I couldn't help but think of that character seeing my own two tails," Kira tried to explain while looking slightly embarrassed.

Inari took a slight frown.

"What a curious representation made by humans. I'm, however, afraid that you would have more luck flying by utilizing magic, than spinning your tails around in a silly manner.

Quite frankly I wouldn't advise trying to spin your tails around in the first place, they are quite sensitive"

Kira couldn't help but frown at Inaris's response, she knew it was well-meant, but she hadn't actually genuinely thought she could fly by spinning them around.

Kira got up and stretched her limbs, she felt stiff so moving around felt quite a bit better.

She expected to need to get used to the second tail, but she barely noticed it was there, if anything she felt her balance was probably even better than it was before.

Getting curious Kira decided to do a small run and attempted a backflip and much to her surprise she managed it quite smoothly, Kira simply stood in her landing position in complete shock, she had never been athletic and it had been a spur in the moment action because she felt she could maybe do it and her curiosity had gotten the better of her.

"You look quite energetic, but why so shocked? did you see something scary?"

Chaos said getting up from her pillow and stretching.

Kira's face was currently beet red

"I'm sorry, I didn't think I could actually do it?"

Chaos only frowned.

"What do you mean, you're Inaris kin, you should be able to leap around me spinning and twirling like the crazy fuck heritage she has provided,

Back one time when she visited my realm, she stole one of the books I had been obsessing over while trying to figure out how the humans had created that nasty nuclear bomb of theirs so I could undo the foundation without having all laws of physics crumble on me.

anyway I was in quite a slump and Inari simply grabbed the book and danced around me for hours without me able to catch her at all, that stupid fox is incredibly tricky to get your hands on, and she couldn't even use illusions against me I don't even want to know how bad it is for those who doesn't have my sight, that's a nightmare i don't even want to imagine"

Inari grinned and chimed in.

"I remember that but you ended up cheating, you booby trapped the room with mini black holes, and I was trapped in the one I hit for hours as your so called punishment before you finally defused the damned thing"

Chaos gave Inari a burst of haughty laughter.

"Serves you well, would have been impossible to catch you otherwise"

seeing the banter between Inari and Chaos made Kira smile, it was nice to learn a bit of their history.

Kira had been sensing Yin outside and decided she should at least poke her head out and let Yin know she was well, so while Inari and Chaos continued to banter she went for the shrine door, but upon opening it she heard both Chaos and Inari try to stop her by shouting "wait!" in unison.

what she saw outside was not what she had expected, Yin was completely frozen in time, so was everyone else, why was there so many around here anyway?

not to mention the nights' sky looked like they were in a bubble in the galaxy, what on earth happened while she was asleep?

backing off slowly and closing the door again.

"Uhm, mom? Aunt Chaos? what is going on?"

Chaos stepped forward.

"well, I guess I better explain as a majority of what you saw is my fault.

First, the shrine is currently located in a pocket universe of my creation, it prevents anyone from finding us, and I felt it was the safest while you slept.

secondly remember how I mentioned that no time would pass while we were in the mindspace, see problem is that I might have simplified it a tiny bit, we are higher beings you included and as such we are capable of essentially operating at a higher frequency, when you entered the mindspace I simply guided you to enter the higher frequency with us, so you wouldn't miss any time in the class you had been enjoying, the plan had been to simply without you realizing guide you back into what would be a more normal frequency again before exiting, the problem was you kind of just passed out on us in the middle of it all."

Inari spoke up the second Chaos stopped

"It's not that we wanted you to not know your powers, but this is not something any mortals here can do a few higher beings do live amongst them here in this realm, but we ultimately had hoped you wouldn't make use of it because it makes you stand out for other higher beings and is similar to shouting out that you're not who you seem.

So while I won't forbid you to enter a higher frequency if you ever need it do I ask that you don't move around too much, try to pretend you're locked in place like everyone else, and simply use it if you need to think or come up with a plan, it's also incredibly useful if you wish time to speak with us, there are many levels of this, both Chaos and I am some of the strongest of the higher beings so we can enter a higher frequency than even most other divine beings.

Your level is already much higher than even some of the lower higher beings, there are technically also a few mortals who have achieved a pseudo version of it, which is very impressive given their mortal limits."

Kira frowned for a moment.

"So while I would definitely be lying if I said this isn't useful... how do I turn it off?"

Chaos went over and kneeled beside Kira taking her hands.

"This will definitely be easier if you use some of the nature inherited from me, try to see if you can feel the flow of everything around you, the elements, the particles, and everything else"

Kira spent a while, but she soon sensed what Chaos meant, it was like it was moving in slow motion.

"I think I sense it"

Chaos gave Kira a big smile, and without Kira seeing smirked at Inari.

"Ok unlike Inari who kind of just have to guess or align herself with someone else, does this help you gain something to compare your own frequency with, our powers are mostly based on desire, so all you need to do is to send your senses out and once you feel this you simply just need to desire to make yourself slower and quicker, however, you cannot just say normal because there is no such thing

I'll lower myself to what is normal for mortals here in this realm, you will find that each realm have their own standards, while inhabitants will often lower themselves to that of mortals if they visit is that the reason why even powerful mortals struggles are ultimately futile were they to ever attempt to fight"

Kira could sense how Chaos slowed down right in front of her, it was only a fraction of time which passed but feeling the rough speed Kira desired to do the same and felt how everything around her seemed to move faster, Kira quickly discovered it was much easier to just jump to a speed of something else.

Inari and Chaos allowed Kira to stand for a while and simply experiment with slowing or speeding up her own frequency while Chaos had lowered herself to that of the mortals in this realm and Inari stayed in the original frequency they had been talking at to give Kira a perspective to work within.

without telling anyone had Inari increased her own frequency with small increments to see if Kira could keep up but much to her astonishment did Kira not even seem to notice.

After Kira had it mostly under control Chaos spent a while teaching Kira how to perceive higher frequencies without physically adapting her body to them and they had Inari walk around while initially, Kira struggled to find the balance of keeping herself in the lower frequency and still watching Inari perfectly in the higher.

it took a while, but in the end, Kira had learned to spiritually catch all frequencies near her and be able to see and observe them without herself moving to the higher frequency.

she was getting massive praise from both Inari and Chaos.

"Thanks, this will be useful, but I really need to go out and at least thank Yin. She has likely been slightly anxious after I collapsed in class"

Inari and Chaos nodded and let Kira exit the shrine.

Speaking only between each other.

"Was it wise to teach her this?"

Inari asked Chaos.

"Honestly I don't know, she shouldn't be able to do it to this degree, I noticed how you increased your speed to try to throw her off, but I don't even think she noticed, she isn't as attuned to paying attention to the particles around her yet as I am, but quite frankly I don't know how to feel, it took us the better part of a millennium to get to where we are and she casually did it almost by instinct in a few hours, if anyone knew would they fear her potential and they will likely try to stop her before she grew truly strong, she only just merged with her seed and she is not lacking power the slightest if anything is her biggest hindrance just her own inexperience, she is young and she will likely desire to see the world.

Aether and Nox have been pulling nonstop to try to get to me in this realm since Kira woke up, they can likely already feel her through the connection as her power is not something anyone would disregard.
