The Imperial Palace ─ Royal Physician Quarters

Feng Cai waited apprehensively for the Royal Physician to speak about the condition on his body and how long he needed to stop cultivating before beginning once again.

The Royal Physician is a man named Zhu Kang. His appearance is that of a man at the prime of his life, with long flowing black hair and beard and brown eyes that shone with cold professionalism. He hailed from a long line of medicinal doctors that served the Feng Clan since its infancy, in the name of better developing their medicinal arts. It is said their methods and knowledge are in the divine's realm, and could cure all but the most lethal of poisons and ailments.

Zhu Kang himself was the best of his generation and many others. His knowledge is rivalled only by a few and even then it is said that he would be hard to beat in his field of expertise.

In other words, he is the stereotypical master of a thousand arts healer that is left in the dust by the protagonist who unveils a new form of a healing an unhealable disease or poison. That such a 'master' had not figured this method even with all of his knowledge could be justified as the fact that the healer belonged to a lower world that possessed little knowledge, or it was just hand waved away and promptly forgotten.

But even with that in mind Feng Cai couldn't help but to be in awe of Zhu Kang, as he could heal any type of disease or aliment if he had the right materials and time, heck according to some old tomes he had read in the library he had once saved the life of a man who had just half his head caved in by the first of a rebel leader. Of course, that could be just propaganda, but if it wasn't, it was very impressive.

"You will need to wait for 10 years, my prince." Zhu Kang said, his voice never changing tone.

Feng Cai mentally sighed before thanking him and leaving the room. As he walked back towards the Academy, he started thinking about what to do now that he is not going to be able to cultivate again until he is twenty years old, personally he felt it was too much time, but he knew that taking precaution was a good thing. After all, if he takes the wrong step, his body will literally implode.

Feng Cai then he remembered something and thought. 'Yes, that could do.'

He started walking, this time with an aim in mind. After all, he always had a fascination with swords, and in this world, where things like Sword Intent existed, it was far more fascinating than before. Besides, he would get to shoot beams of energy out of his sword, and that was something he always wanted to do.

'There are other things that I can learn as well, such as Spiritual Formations, alchemy, and even creation of Spiritual Weapons. There is a never ending list of things that I can learn and in the end all of them will benefit me' Feng Cai thought, with his Sacred-level Spiritual Veins it was a sure fact that he would become an immortal and so technically speaking he would have plenty of time to learn whatever he wanted.

If a protagonist didn't appear out of nowhere and killed him of course. Because that could always happen.

Sacred Heaven Immortal World ─ Bai Clan Clangrounds

"I see that you have advanced in your cultivation," Feng Wei's strange benefactor said to him.

Feng Wei turned his head at the direction of the voice that he couldn't help but be grateful for. The cultivation method that was given to him Heart Eating Devil Mantra allowing him to not pacify his inner demons but turn them into strength for himself. He was already in the Spiritual Pillar Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm thanks to his new cultivation method. A fact that he was surprised by. If Devil Cultivation was this good, then why was it banned?

"Why are you here?" Feng Wei asked.

"To give you your next method of course, as you clearly see, the Heart Eating Devil Mantra is good, but it has its limitations," The Voice explained, causing Feng Wei to frown.

As the name clearly implied, the Heart Eating Devil Mantra had a relation with Heart Devils. By using the mantra, the cultivator could safely devour the Devils and turn them into personal power allowing to advance much faster than normal, but the problem lay in the fact that they would have to have a constant amount of Heart Devil for them to feast on no matter if they belonged to the cultivator themselves or another.

Feng Wei had used his own Heart Devils who had yet to fully grow and so did not offer a great boost to his cultivation, but the sudden advancement gave him a hunger for more Heart Devils for him to find but he didn't where he could find them.

"This method is different. Instead of using Heart Devils, you will use Demon Qi produced by so-called 'evil deeds,' which you will then use to advance your power"

"Isn't that the common method of Devil Cultivation?"

"Yes and no, this one is different from the common ones, mainly because it came from a first rank Demon Marques," The voice revealed causing Feng Wei to show a shocked expression.

Like the rest of the realms that compose existence, Hell has its own divisions of ranks amongst the various Demons that inhabit it. Demon Marquess is the fourth highest noble rank in hell and just like the others, it is divided in first, second, and third rank to say how powerful the holder of the rank is.

To his benefactor say to have something so casually spoke of his true nature, after all to have such a treasure and say that it is something that could be given away so easily spoke of the power behind his back and that terrified Feng Wei by the implications. He already suspected that the Demon Sect interested in him was powerful, but he never thought it would be this much powerful.

"Who are you?" Feng Wei couldn't help but ask.

"You are asking the right questions, but not now. There is still much for you to do before we get to that stage, so will you take what I shall give to you?"

Feng Wei gulped before answering. "Yes, I will"

He couldn't see it but he was sure that his hidden benefactor was grinning in satisfaction. Feng Wei only hoped that this didn't come back to bite him before he dispelled that thought. He is an Imperial Prince and a direct scion of the Sacred Bai Clan. There was no way even something as 'terrible' as Devil Cultivation could harm him.

Sure his reputation would take a hit but he didn't care about that, no he only cared about the fact that is everything goes right, he would soon see Peng Shuchun again after a long time apart. And he couldn't wait for that to happen.

Especially since it meant that soon, he would have his rematch with both of his brothers, and this time it would them on the ground as they begged him not to kill them. The mental image caused him to show a savage grin completely unbecoming of a prince or really anyone, in fact it looked like belonged more to a face of a demon rather a human.
