"Huh?" Adam said, arriving in another world, still flying in the air.

"Who said that?" he asked

[We are the Spirit of Gluttony. You have been chosen to be my Avatar]

"Avatar? What's that? Like the movie with the blue people, or the bald guy with all four elements?" Adam asked, looking around to see who he was talking to.

[No. Being our Avatar means you are the physical manifestation of our will in Fantasia]

"Er... ok. Do I have to do anything?" Adam asked, still looking around. 

[When the time is right, you will be given tasks, to do our will and accomplish what we intend to do]

"Uh ok sure" Adam said and landed on a great big field with bouncing balls on the floor

He looked at it, wondering what in the world could it be. 

He picked one up, and it looked barely sentient, looking like a round blob with a strange indentations that made it look like a smiley face. 

"I wonder how this tastes" he thought as he took a bite. 

"Not bad. Reminds me of the texture of jelly" he thought 

[Ability Acquired : Slime - element absorption and physical size change]

"Huh? I have an information screen? This never happened before. Maybe it works on Fantasia animals" Adam thought, knowing exactly how to use a slime's powers instantly. 

He picked up a rock and bit on it, and looked at his body and willed it to turn to rock

"Excellent" Adam thought, as his body was now able to absorb elements like a slime could. 

He continued picking up slimes and eating them like snacks, following a path he saw in the middle of the field. 

It led to a forest and he entered without a care in the world.

He followed the path into the forest as it started getting darker and darker as the foliage got thicker and thicker, blocking out the sunlight.

He stopped as he saw signs of battle with blood everywhere. 

There was a trail of blood leading off the main path.

Looking at the dark and ominous trail, it reminded him of the many movies he watched

"Why not?" he thought as he smiled and whistled a happy tune

At last, he found a purpose for eating that nightingale besides being curious how it would taste.

He approached upon hearing loud sounds of bones cracking and being bitten and he saw a large humanoid creature, 3 times the size of a man, eating the carcass of a smaller human sized dead humanoid.

He would have guessed it was an elf, but they might call themselves something else here. But then again, the slimes were called slimes here too

There was another dead elf nearby, and he squatted next to the large creature and pulled off the dead elf's leg and started eating.

The monster stopped eating and looked at Adam squatting besides it, eating it's catch.

It turned towards Adam and raised its arm to attack

*Whoopish*

A strange sound came out as Adam punched the monster, his punch so fast it ignited light from the friction with the air!

He used the punching power of a mantis shrimp, his fist covered in earth dragon skin.

The creature's stomach imploded as its rib bones were liquified.

He jumped onto the creature and rapidly punched it's head once with each fist with the same mantis shrimp punch, leaving it's head a flattened piece of blackened skin.

He looked at the skin on his fist and was shocked that it was glowing hot, even when covered by earth dragon skin. 

"Wow. I better be careful with this mantis shrimp punch. Anyway, back to eat" he said, going back to eat the elf

[Ability Acquired : Elf - Agility, Dexterity and Archery]

"So, they're called elves here too" he thought as he looked at the creature.

The elf he was eating looked human, except he was more slender and had pointy ears, had golden hair and pale greenish blue pupils in his eyes. His cock was long and slender, looking like a stick. 

As he ate it, he wondered if it would become thicker when erect.

To his surprise, the monster that he killed a few moments ago had already started healing and its head was inflating.

"What the hell are you?" Adam though as he walked up to it.

He ripped off it's arm and started eating it. He looked at the large body and thought that finally his hunger may be sated.

[Ability Acquired : Troll - Regeneration and Strength]

"So it was a troll, huh" he said

Surprisingly, after 20 minutes and leaving only the bones of the troll, he was still not sated.

He looked at the two elves and decided to finish the job for the troll and ate up the two elves.

Since he could now eat minerals because of his slime abilities, he ate the skeletons of the troll and the two elves too.

Waste not, want not

Eating both elves enhanced his elven abilities as he acquired the reflexes and body memory of the two elves. Eating their brains gave him their knowledge and memories too. They were named Ravan and Fokor. 

The troll's memories were simple. Eat, drink, fuck, shit and sleep. There was nothing besides those in it's mind

Adam felt a kinship to the troll

He picked up the elf's bag. short sword, bow and quiver and then looked at the gem he found in the troll's head

"This must be the energy gem thingy I saw on the TV. The governments use this to generate energy" he remembered, not from his own memory but Lena's

He kept it in the elf bag after throwing away the plant based bread that tasted like cardboard

Finally, he headed back to the path he was following in the forest

Having noticed that the elf had clothes, weapons and spare food in his bag, he realized that he should stop walking around naked

With a thought, his lower body became covered with crocodile skin, covering his penis and looked like leather pants

 His top grew fur that made it look like he was wearing some sort of shirt made of animal skin.

He didn't have any idea what people wore here, and he's never had much sense of fashion anyway.

The dead elves wore some clothes made of leaves, but he couldn't control flora so he couldn't do the same.

Besides, he wasn't an elf anyway.

Following the path, he found that the path was broken by a fast flowing river which was about 20 meters wide

There was evidence of a bridge that was once there, but now had collapsed or had been washed away

Just when he was about to sprout dragonfly wings to fly over, a horse came galloping down the river, running on the water

"Oh, it must be a shallow river" Adam thought as he stepped in.

Suddenly, he found the water deeper than he thought, his foot unable to touch the bottom.

The horse seemed to laugh at him and suddenly, water flowed around it and shot at Adam, trying to drown him using the water of the whole river.

Adam had alot of practice switching from air breathing to water breathing mode and can do so instantaneously when swimming in the ocean for a few months. 

The elven knowledge he absorbed told him this was no mere horse but a kelpie, eager to drown humans and other creatures

He exploded with the speed of a tick, delivering a mantis shrimp punch so powerful, it's head splattered.

"Better not waste this" Adam said, licking the brain matter off his fist. However, it was cooked due to the speed of his fist which was supposedly as hot as the surface of the sun when a mantis shrimp attacked

He grabbed the kelpie by it's severed neck and drank it's blood before sitting at the side of the river and started eating

[Ability Acquired: Kelpie - Water Manipulation and Control]

After eating it up, including it's bones, he went to a rock, which was a distance away and picked out the kelpie gem that had embedded in the rock.

He intended to sell these, but were they valuable here? This kelpie gem and the troll one were already cracked due to his mantis shrimp punch. Perhaps they were less valuable now?

He looked at it and it was yellow in color, unlike the troll one which was orange. The elves had green ones. Did they signify purity, elements, or what?

Since the kelpie gem was practically ruined, he threw them in his mouth.

Instantly, he felt a warm feeling in his body. Unknowingly, he had extended his lifespan with that of the kelpie.

Feeling good, he ate his other gems, absorbing the lifeforce and lifespan of the two elves and the troll.

With the powers of a kelpie, he stood on the water.

"This is pretty cool" he thought and remembered seeing the kelpie running down the river.

He suddenly had an idea and tried it immediately.

"Waaa hooo" he yelled as he surfed down the river, abandoning the path he was on, moving at incredible speeds.

Lena's memories as a girl scout reminded him that if you are lost in a forest, if you find a river or stream, you can follow it down to civilization, as people built their settlements around rivers.

But does that logic work here? Were there people here?

Who knows, but this is fun!
