Perhaps saying zombie outbreak would downgrade the threat level of what happened on Telia but that was the term best fitting for it according to Fae's understanding. No one knew the source or cause of the outbreak, only the symptoms. Ultimately there was no way to prevent the spread of the virus so the government quarantined the entire continent, even going as far as to blow up the shuttle tunes connecting Telia to the other continents completely isolating the entire planet. The higher ups even ordered the destruction of all records mentioning the Telia continent. Years have passed and most people don't even have a recollection of the existence of such a continent. To the surviving people of Aquamarine, they had more realistic and pressing matters than a myth of a long lost continent, like finding the cause of monsters that keep materializing everywhere on the planet's surface, the intense sand storms that occur more and more frequently, etc.

Fae recalled the air filters installed into the walls of the dome. These machines, although not perfect, serve the purpose of disrupting the accumulation of mana particles which is what makes monsters appear spontaneous at any time. Although the humans of this planet still don't know what mana is, they've discovered a way to at least prevent monsters from appearing within a certain vicinity thanks to the air filters.

[Miho, remember that quest you got when you met the beyond grade A guy from earlier?]

Seeing the completed status under the mission panel, Miho literally choked on the wine in her hand garnering the attention of the booth attendant but Miho waved him off.

This is simply too much to take in at the moment. All the pills I took back at the apartment were all low quality and the effects were enormous. If she took a medium grade pill or even a high grade one what would happen? Needless to say the effects would be beyond shocking.

But with a high grade body tempering pill although you will still be a grade C but a high grade body tempering pill provides all the energy the body needs to perform self-evolution. With the energy contained in a high grade body tempering pill you could evolve at least three times your current race…]

Miho could feel a cold shiver run down her spine.

"I believe the value of this map needs no further introduction. The starting price is five hundred thousand credits!" Zi El set the starting bid and immediately after, the auction house was lively as different bids flew, each surpassing the one before it.

"One million credits." Miho declared. The attendant heard her and operated the terminal.

"One million credits from booth number 10!" Zi El announced. "One million going once, one million going twice…"

"Two million credits!" Displayed the LED from booth 12. Bill Rosen had finally made a move after a while of abstinence.

Miho's eyes glowed as the only person who kept her entertained and started to bid again. Her eyes were that of a child that had just found a new playmate.
