After the battle, I had to sit down for a while for my head to stop hurting, I've never felt such a headache for a long time. The last time my head hurt this bad was when I was leveling up Appraisal for the very first time. How nostalgic.

Well, now that I won, it's time to... Celebrate! Hahaha! I won against you, you over grown crab! And I can gloat about it all I want.

Ok now, enough gloating, I guess I want to cook it now. I'm pretty excited to find out how many points will I get from it. And how it will taste too.

Wait, what is with this energy presence? It feels like it's all around me. But I can't see anything. Is it an invisible enemy? Wait, is this the work of an enemy stand?

Recon expert Lisa! What is going on?!

Well, commander, according to my calculations. We are dealing with ghosts!

Ghosts?! But it isn't October?!

You have a point, well, since I can't see anything nearby, and Appraisal isn't finding anything, that means it's likely just stray energy. Possibly from that attack or from the crystals that were destroyed.

Phew, good job. We avoided a DEFCON 1 right there.

But stray energy huh? These crystals would turn into enemies, so would this energy be exp right? Can I, like, absorb it or something?

I try to grab hold of that energy, then I bring it closer to me. Then I try absorbing it, well, I don't know how to absorb stuff, so I just tried to shove a giant amount inside me. And then I held it in until I felt it vanish.

[Required exp amount reached. Lisa leveled up to lv. 13]

[5 skill points were added]
[Proficiency of skill "Steel-willed lv. 1" reached the required amount. Increasing level of skill "Steel-willed" to lv. 2]
[Stats increased]

[Conditions fulfilled. Skill "Energy absorption lv. 1" was added]

Oh crap! It actually worked?! I thought that was just lost energy or something. But I actually managed to do it? Once again, brute strength solves my problems, high-five!

And there is this other skill, energy absorption. Sounds pretty useful, let me just appraise it to make sure.

[Energy absorption]

[A skill that allows the user to absorb all kinds of energy. Amount scales with level. Too much energy absorbed can cause discomfort, paralysis, and or death.]

That's pretty useful... is what I would say if I didn't see the last part, Woah! Dying from too much energy absorbed? I guess any physical being would be unable to absorb super large amounts.

Well, lets just get to cooking that crab.

You put some seasonings here (which I don't have any) then you clear the crystals, and then you let it simmer in the pot. Classic recipe, just like how mama used to make.

Well, now's the tasting test.

Woah... yeah, I need another bite to verify.

Woah..........

This is amazing! Unbelievable! Super-good-holy-crap-amazingly tasting!

Ahem, I mean, it's pretty good.

[Biomass procured. 32 evolutionary points were added]

Ah, I'm satisfied, oh wait, 32 evolutionary points? Ok then. What? Did you expect an over the top reaction? Sorry, wasted all my energy on food reactions.

Ok, now that I ate, my brain can work at 110% brain power.

So now is reporting time, well, all my enemies are dead, except the giant crystal thingamajig. Great job me, but now I have a problem with exp, how can I get more to be able to actually fight the giant boy. Because I really want to investigate the place inside it, like, come on! How could you not want to investigate such an interesting place?

Well, that is my future plan. For now, I need to get more exp, luckily, I can just destroy these crystals for more exp. But exp is invisible, unless you are super good at sensing, or there is a giant amount of it in the same place. At least from what I gathered.

Also, when trying to break them, there is the risk that they gain sentience to try and stop me. And that is something I really don't want to happen. Also gotta check my stats.

I'm getting pretty swole right now, maybe I'd be able to take on that giant crystal a lot sooner than I thought? Nah, I don't have a death wish. That thing had like 4000 health. That's final boss levels of health right there, a freaking tank build. Well, I wouldn't say final boss because... yeah.

Besides that, I would like to have a damage stat to be able to be equal to one of its defenses before fighting it, or maybe even under it. But not too much, cause I don't think this crystal has a weak point like that crab.

Ahem, well, I think I better get to grinding. Gotta keep on appraising, and I gotta keep on fighting. Also, I'll try to sense what exp feels like, since I can't feel it unless there is a large chunk of it together. Can't be too sure y'know? Well time to anger some crystals.

I kept looking around for a sufficiently sized piece of crystal, I wanted one that was preferably a similar size to the one I fought before, yeah, like that lowers the list at all. But seriously, I just mean the biggest one I ever fought.

You know, these crystals, besides the fact that they sometimes turn into bloodthirsty monsters, are actually pretty beautiful. I'm sure it would make a good home decoration. Minus the fact it will likely murder you. But who cares about the technicalities.

I'd even say that I would gift a small piece of them to mom. She did like shiny rocks, would always buy some of these crystals to decorate the house. I'd always ask her why she bought it, and she'd tell me the exact same thing every time. "I thought they looked cool." Heh, I always thought it was a dumb hobby, but it made for an easy mother's day gift y'know?

...

Huh, went on a bit of a rant there, anyways, they're just a bunch of dumb rocks. Who cares anyways? Not me! Hahaha...

Haah, I really miss her.

sorry boys, I'm busy with exams, was busy since last week and will finish next week. So yeah, guess I'll see ya in break time, or possibly earlier if I have time.
