The sixth Jang mansion was in an uproar after reading the daily letter their father had sent them—nobody expected that the letter, which usually consisted about mundane matters of the household, will have a topic regarding the youngest Jang's Yothagou.

If Nayun wants to make her Yothagou accompany her, the child should have identification. He shall be surnamed Yusa.

It was only two sentences. But it was enough for the siblings to hold an emergency meeting before lunch.

"I wonder why we're eating this early." Nayun was sure they just had breakfast two hours ago, and now the servantmaids already called for her. "And it's still eleven in the morning..."

Entering the huge dining hall, she was surprised to see everyone else seated, and was broodingly looking at her upon arrival as if they were expecting her to arrive most.

Awkwardly making her way to her usual seat, which was beside her siblings Nancy and Lupa, she couldn't help but look down the whole time.

No way. Did they find out already?

"Nayun. What is with father's message in regards to your Yothagou?" Damian, who acted as the leader in absence of their brothers Gary and Wade, asked in a terrifying tone.

Damn. They really did.

"Did father agree?" Yun blinked and looked at Damian with her big doe eyes.

This kid had the gall to answer his question with a question. Damian sighs, before crossing his strong arms across his chest.

"You might not know this, but what you're doing right now is ridiculous."

"What am I doing?" Yun tilts her head to the side, feigning ignorance.

"Wanting to have your Yothagou accompany you in their current form? You're playing around too much."

"She is just a kid..." Freya, the oldest one in the room, tried to appease the tension. "She doesn't know what she's doing. Cut her some slack,"

"Exactly," Mandu, the brother who sat from the side of the table across the room, acknowledged. "Why is this even a big deal? She'll get bored of him hanging around soon anyway..."

"And if she doesn't?" Naturally, there would be ones who backed up the opposition.

"How did she manage to ask father anyway,"

"Which servantmaid sent the letter? They need to be educated."

"Sending father such brainless contents, how moronic..."

"It is I," Nancy speaks up, to which made the murmuring silent.

"Nancy?" Damian almost have a nerve popping out from his temple.

He knew that Nancy wasn't the brightest of the bunch. But even so, he didn't expect her to be lacking this much!

"Have you hit your head repeatedly before writing a letter to father?"

"How rude!" Nancy angrily stands from sitting. "Let me tell you, I am the only one thinking about Nayun!"

"What do you mean?" The others proceeded in unison.

"Majority of you only think about yourselves. I, on the other hand, love our sister more than I do myself. I am always thinking about her, always prioritizing her everyday life, because she is the loveliest child to ever exist— too fragile, she needs protecting and absolute care. If I could, I will give her anything she desires,"

As much as she wanted to watch intently, Yun couldn't help but look down on her lap. She almost cringed to death at her sister's love speech.

"You can't just go along a child's whims," Judy, the second oldest, scolded.

"You don't understand," Nancy shakes her head. "It figures, I myself didn't understand at first, too,"

"There is a reason?" someone asked.

"Right now, I will make everyone understand. After all, this is all for our sister's sake," Nancy looks down beside her and saw Nayun having her head down. Thinking that the girl must be discouraged, it made Nancy all the more determined to defend.

"Whatever do you mean?"

"Our sister has social anxiety!"

Collective gasps where heard throughout. Nayun even looked up in surprise. Social anxiety? She didn't know that this term existed in this world.

"Social anxiety?"

"Impossible."

"Nancy lost her mind."

"You don't believe me, but if you heard from Nayun personally, the birthday party and the afterparty was hell for her." Nancy's voice trembled. "She was lonely by herself, but she couldn't even make out the courage to make friends. Especially without anyone accompanying her. Don't you feel sorry?"

"It is just because she's not used to socializing," Damian logically explains, "That day was her debut in society, you can't possibly expect her to be immediately good at making friends, that's why she needs to be exposed to parties often."

"But she said she can't make friends without someone accompanying her!"

"Then let's find someone else who could do the job. There are families willing to offer their children as Nayun's playmate."

"They have lives to live, they can't just stay beside Nayun all the time until she dies!"

"Does it really have to be someone who sticks with her forever?" Damian turns his head to look at the smallest person in the room. "Nayun."

Nayun nods at him in response. "They should accompany me everywhere I go, and should be by my side whatever I do. They shall also do whatever I tell them to do, even if it's something absurd. Would not anger me in the slightest, would not betray me, would not have their own opinion and would only have to share mine. Someone who would only exist just for me."

"..."

Yun tried her hardest to not let out a smirk. That's right, there's no one! Let alone a child her age, no one will be able to stand being bossed around and having to attend to someone 24/7. Might as well be their own Yothagou who follows orders unconditionally!

Everyone was at a loss for words. There's no one else in this world perfect for the job other than a Yothagou, as they technically only exist for their masters. There's no way they could turn her request down now.

"Let me tell you the repercussions of your actions," The way Damian said it was in a calm manner, but his gaze seemed slightly cold when he looked at his little sister.

"Suppose that you attend Velhelm. Or go out in general, since you cannot remain in the mansion forever. Do you know how much danger you'll get yourself in?

If the carriage you're riding suddenly broke down in the middle of flight and for some reason you were unable to fly or teleport.

Or what if the establishment you're in suddenly gets attacked? Since you're using your main body and not your Yothagou's, you'll be immediately dead. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

"Why can't I just be careful anyway?" She asks. "And if you hate it so much, why don't I train my Yothagou to protect me,"

"Train?" another batch of collective gasps. At this point their unison was starting to sound funny to Yun.

However, there has never been a Yothagou in history trained to fight—let alone exist as an individual in this society. Shock after shock was delivered to everyone in the room.

"If I train him, there's no reason I'd die carelessly, since he's always by my side. Now, not only would I have someone help me make friends, I would also have someone fight for me."

"But they have no magic, what use is a Yothagou?"

"Can't they learn any type of attack? Can't they kick? Punch, strangle, stab? Throw objects? Block blows? They have limbs," Logic has never been more powerful than ever.

"...Fine, do whatever you want. Just make sure you don't regret it," Damian murmurs, before ringing a bell which prompted the doors to open, and have servantmaids serve them their food.

Nobody spoke a word about the matter further during and after lunch, which meant that Yun had won this battle.

---

"Hi,"

It was the first thing she had said to him the moment he was summoned.

"....Yun?" Hanse looks at her with big and bright eyes.

Yun wonders about how she should deliver the news to him. She grabs both of his shoulders and sat him down on her huge bed.

But after grabbing ahold of his shoulders, she was reminded once again about how thin the boy truly was. Even if he was wearing better clothes than before, she could still feel his bones through the fabric.

He's still malnourished. All his baby fat was nowhere to be seen. He was so thin he was still smaller than her despite being older, so thin that his head looked big and heavy for his body.

She had asked him once before. Hanse told her that whenever he goes back to his "room", it is equal to sleeping. Naturally, he wouldn't feel hungry even after long periods of time. But even so, doesn't this mean that staying there won't help his growth at all?

"You don't have to go back to your "room" anymore."

"??"

"From now on, you will be living outside—here," she points to the ground for emphasis. "You will be living in this society."

"A-Alright," whatever she says goes.

"But there is a price."

"..." There always was.

"The price is actually beneficial for you," Yun put both of her hands on her hips to explain. "You will be taught to defend."

"Defend?"

"Sword fighting, knife fighting. Hand-to-hand combat. You might also be taught how to climb walls and stuff,"

"!!!" Everything sounded cool to him. His brother was great at fighting with knives, he couldn't wait to learn it too.

"Starting tomorrow, you'll be meeting Harold, our gardener. I was told he's really good at hand-to-hand combat so,"

"Okay." he nods. His skin was slowly redenning because of excitement.

"Now eat." Yun says loudly, regaining his attention. She pulled a chair from under the table that had a tray of food as an invitation for him to come.

"Wow!!" Hanse was so happy today. It feels like today, for once, he was favored upon by a God. His eyes redden after taking his second bite of the pasta, before he started to bawl his eyes out.

"You're crying again?" Instead of being bothered however, Yun found herself laughing in amusement.

She was starting to think that him being a crybaby was actually a bit endearing.

---

The room was fairly quiet. Except for a young girl's soft breathing, nothing else could be heard.

The creaking open of the door was the loudest sound to be made.

Clad in a clean grey suit vest over a white dress shirt and black trousers, the boy made himself welcome and entered the room with the clacking of his shoes' heel on the marble floor.

"Yun,"

Yun yawns after being gently shaken, but made no effort to open her eyes.

"Mmm." she groans, before swatting away the hand shaking her from her sleep.

"Yun, you're going to be late. It's already eight in the morning,"

"Eight in the..." silence followed, and when it seemed like she was back to sleeping, she suddenly opens her eyes and sits up in a jolt.

"Eight in the morning?!" Yun gasps at the boy in front of her. "The party is at 8:30! Why didn't you wake me up earlier, Hanse!!"

The eleven year old boy pouts his lips at her, looking wronged.

"I have been re-entering your room for the past hour, but every time, you would go back to sleep."

"..." Alright, she was at fault. "T-Then what are you waiting for, get out, I'll get dressed."

"Then I'll go get the servantmaids." Hanse then excused himself out. Not even a minute later, three women in uniform dresses came in to assist Yun on getting ready.

While she had her hair get tied up into a half ponytail, Yun wondered if they could arrive at Celeste's birthday party in 30 minutes. She almost decided to teleport to the Monet's, but since Hanse would be left behind, she just decided to scrap the idea.

After all, what Celeste looked forward on meeting was Hanse, and not me.

A year ago, Hanse debuted to the society as Nayun Jang's playmate. He was introduced as Hanse Yusa, and he would be seen accompanying the Dieustroi in social events such as parties and playdates, assisting her most of the time. He was even rumored to live in the Jang mansion.

Kind-looking, but very witty and playful. It didn't take quite long before he was popular amongst the region's children. Of course, his social skills aren't the sole reason why he's popular.

A tanla without tail.

It was a first for everyone to learn of a Tanla without a tail. If the level of their magic stage was crucial to the Kleimann, tail was the most important part of a Tanla—the bigger the tail, the higher you are in Tanla hierarchy. And for him to exist, everyone was either intrigued or pitied him, especially after having a backstory so tragic such as being kidnapped at birth and having his tail cut off as revenge towards his parents who butted heads with the wrong people.

Of course, none of that was the truth. Everything was fabricated by the Jangs— the Hanse everyone knew wasn't a Tanla but a Yothagou, and he wasn't even a child from the Yusa household either.

The Jangs went through great lengths just to fulfill Nayun's request, and was rewarded with more-than-satisfying results. After all, all the friends Nayun had made was brought to her life by none other than Hanse, and that is the reason why they would be attending the birthday party of the snobbiest young miss of the East.

Right after she had worn her pink flats, a knock sounded from the glass door outside of her room's balcony. Nayun had the servantmaids open the door for her, and found that there was a brilliant carriage hovering in wait.

"Still not done?" Hanse jumped down the carriage and to Nayun's balcony, and entered towards her room for the nth time. He sees her doing a twirl in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror to gauge the appearance of the baby blue dress she wore.

"Let's go," Yun looks at the servantmaids, who bowed to her in courtesy, before she takes the lead towards the carriage outside the balcony.

As they sat comfortably opposite one another, Hanse reached out to flatten the small hair poking out of her head. He couldn't help but frown.

"This is why you should be awake an hour earlier before an event."

"Why didn't you forcefully wake me? I'd surely open my eyes if you splashed cold water on my face," Yun looks at him seriously, and Hanse let out a sigh.

"But you slept so late, I didn't want to deprive you of sleep."

"I was practicing my wind magic last night." Yun defended herself. "Do you know? I can already knock off a chair."

She made it a point to not stop practicing until she was able to physically move a heavier object compared to a pillow. And after a month of trying, her hardwork bore fruit last night.

Having the ability to wield the four elemental magic that was privilege only to the Dieustroi, she found it hard to cultivate all in a short time. It's been a year but the most she could do was move chairs with her wind magic, control the water in a pond with her water magic, and raise a hill with her earth magic. Until now, she can't even move the large fire of the Jang's factory furnace.

Well, she has plenty of time. When she arrives at Velhelm, she's certain she'd improve drastically in a competitive learning environment.

"That's great." Hanse was delighted to hear the news, and was eager to share his progress as well. "You see, this morning, young master Lupa told me that I was getting better using the sword."

Lupa was one of the few Jangs who got along well with Hanse. Unexpectedly, he proposed himself to be the one who trains Hanse when it came to swordfighting. Along with the gardener Harold, he was Hanse's mentor.

"Brother Lupa must've had a lot of free time." Yun comments, before leaning on the plush velvet cusions of the carriage's seat.

"I'm going to sleep for a bit. Wake me up once we get there."

"Will do. Goodnight, Yun." His smile was the last thing she saw before drifting off.
