Firstly, I want to give a big thank you to everyone who stuck around for the end of the first sub-arc! I want to thank everyone who left constructive comments, left honest reviews and ratings, and favorites. It helps to get my work noticed and gives me more drive to continue to write.
Secondly, regards the future update schedule (splitting chapters). I have made my decision on how to continue forward (at least for now) based on my research, reader input, and the following facts:
- On average, I write about 5000 words a week
- I have written a fair bit beyond what has been publicly posted
- Readers do not want me to split chapters.
- More posts mean more time on the latest update page, which means more exposure.
- Consistent posts help grow and maintain a reader base, so posting significantly beyond my writing pace is not advised
After taking in this information, I decided to upload on the following schedule:
- There will be a guaranteed chapter every Friday (no split chapters).
- If that chapter and one more does not total more than 10,000 words, then the chapters will be posted on Monday/Friday(/Wednesday/Saturday).
- As a thank you to donators, I will post up to one extra chapter a week (like sponsored chapters for translators). This will happen retroactively for $10 per 1K words (I need to make a living too :P)
If you like my series so far and have a little spare time, I would appreciate you showing your support! I have had the motivation to write much more thanks for the encouragement and support already given.
If you want to show your support, you can:
Donate: money is always appreciated. Currently, I’m only working a temporary part-time job and struggling to find work so it would be extremely helpful. Of course, if you don’t want to work or can’t give money, I understand entirely. The amount of money I’ve given to creators is in the double digits, and I’ve done quite a bit of free reading myself.
Ratings and Reviews: Honest ratings and reviews are beneficial to me because they help bump up my story making it more likely for others to find it. As both a reader and writer, I find reviews to be far more preferable because they provide the context of what is a subjective score. For example, a review that ticked me off when I was looking for a novel to read was a one-star review with the simple tagline ‘I hate harems.’ I find it troubling that someone who hates harems rated an obvious harem novel. Reviews and rating should be based upon execution, and not on their genres (as not because).
However, because he/she provided the context behind his one star, I was able to ignore it, which would not be possible if it was a rating (I still appreciate honest ratings). When I rate a novel, I do so with the following criteria: Five – I am thoroughly enjoying it and can’t wait for the next chapter. Four – it’s an overall good read that I am actively keeping up with. Three – I have my problems with it, but it’s a good enough read to kill time. Two – I have a hard time reading it, and I might drop it at any time. One – dropped. I don’t care too much about stereotypes so long as they are executed well or have a unique twist, which is the subjective aspect of my rating. I hope that those who leave ratings and reviews on all works have some standardization.
Comments: the constructive comments I have received have been beneficial. If I ever decide to publish, I will look back at the comments to see if something should be changed or embellished. Asking a question to clarify something you didn’t completely understand is useful because, if I want the reader to know that information, I know that I need to go back and embellish it. Also, I am very grateful for those that point out any grammar mistakes that exist. I’ve had a couple of friends read over most of my writing, but otherwise, I am the main editor. I’ve gone over my writing several times, and I still find mistakes, so help is always appreciated in this regard.
Once again, thank you to everyone who has shown their support and continue to enjoy my story.
Volume 3 starts tomorrow (Prologue on Thursday, Chapter 1 on Friday)
Well I have had your story bookmarked for awhile and just got to reading it a few hours ago. And I am very pleased, it is wrotten superbly and well paced (Slower than usual but good). I really enjoy the characters even if they fit cliche (But almost every story has cliche characters). The deaths that have happened are expected and unexpected if yoh undertsand what I mean. I look forward greatly to what is too come, especially since I saw a second chance(?) mentioned somewhere. Im womdering how far this 2nd chance would take him back, will he be able to save his beloved sister for some UwU? Or will it be just to when he was first summoned and he will be able to save his waifus.
Also, if you want more exposure you should try posting on a site called RoyalroadL, its a much bigger and popular site for posting stories, and I believe with your writing style you could become very popular there.
I would be extremely happy to be able and talk/Dm you if you ever feel like talking to a fan for input and stuff.
Thanks for the good read so far
(I rate it currently a 4-4.5/5)
