Jay sat on the main seat, watching two men in their thirties, with one being clean shaved, while the other had a heavy beard, wearing rectangular glasses.

The two looked at him before turning their eyes towards Natasha standing beside him. It made Jay want to shake his head, greeting, "Mr. Norman, Doctor Otto, welcome."

Norman hastily walked to the desk, raising his hand to shake, "Jay, you are here. You should have called me."

Jay stood up, shaking his hand, putting it in front of Otto, who shook it too before Jay sat down, "I thought someone from Stark Industry did. Otherwise, it wouldn't be in my schedule. Have a seat."

Norman sat down, holding his head, "Yes, it's just that yesterday funding came in, and we were discussing the new projects. I just didn't have any time."

He cautiously asked, "I assure you we can show results if you give us some time? Why are you here so early?"

Jay leaned forward, "I want to see every project that you are going to start working on. When you started this company, one of the branches was working on weapons for the Military. We will be closing that branch down and shifting resources to the other projects."

Norman frowned, "but that is one of our more profitable branches, the one that provides most of our funding for other projects."

"I get that. I have a product which will help you replace that and allow you to earn more. Much more."

Norman and Otto exchanged glances, looking at him with interest, "what is it?"

Jay was about to say, when Natasha put her hand on his shoulder, "I think as goodwill you should talk to him first? It would make my life easier?"

Jay rolled his eyes, leaning back on the chair, "No need. I am not releasing something outrageous."

He rotated the chair without saying anything, lost in thought, before looking towards Natasha, "remind me, which are projects that have been covered?"

Natasha shot a look at him, hesitating before she opened the holographic screen.

"Let's see, we have the clean energy project going on, and there are talks about where this energy would be transferred and the countries that would allow us to give. But we need an electrical grid for that project."

Norman stood up, "we can do it! We were just talking about advancing in that direction. If you want electrical grids for this process, then we can do it."

Jay turned his chair towards him, smiling, "thank you. That makes things much easier. Now, show me your other projects."

Norman nodded, with a happy grin on his face, walking over to Jay, opening the files on his computer, "here."

Jay read the projects, but even the first one was troublesome, "cross-species genetics."

Natasha raised her eyebrow hearing that term while Jay was thrown into a dilemma. This project might be the reason why this worlds Peter Parker might become the Spider-Man.

Any interference in this might cause the results to shift. But then, Jay already made the greatest interference. If the Regeneration Cradle is created, this project is bound to become useless. Which would mean it might never reach the stages where a radioactive spider is created.

But then, via Primo, he already put the Evolutionary Fire in Peter. If necessary, he will become Spiderman when the time is right.

"I need to see Dr. Curt Connors. We already have a project going on that is so close to completion, this regeneration serum will become useless once that happens."

"Wait, we can't stop that project," Norman seemed horrified but controlled his reaction, "I mean, we are too close. Just a little time and we can complete this project. There are so many applications for this Serum. It can work as a cure for diseases or..."

"Super Soldier Serum? I understand," Jay glanced towards horrified Norman, "Or the cure for your wife's disease?"

Norman took a step back while Otto stood up, forgetting the nervousness that has been keeping him quiet, "Norman?"

Jay smiled at Otto, "you see, Mr. Norman here has been using Dr. Curt Connors's research to find a cure for a disease that plagues his wife and son. Although, if I am not wrong, the two of them have been cured by someone else. But then, he didn't give up. Now he wants to use the research to create Super Soldier Serum."

Norman tried to explain, "it's not that."

Natasha looked at him. In her mind, he was already someone to keep an eye on. As for if Shield cared about his search, it would depend on the Director, "should we shut down this branch of research?"

"Ask Dr. Curt Connors to go meet Miss Helen. It's his research. He decides if he wants to take the risk," Jay moved on to the next research. He saw something, smiling, "here, watch this."

Natasha leaned down, putting her hand on Jay's shoulder, reading, "brain-computer interface."

She smiled, remembering something, "it would be great if I had this. I wouldn't have to work that hard."

Jay smiled, "this one is a go. Please do good work. I will provide all the funding that you like."

Otto stood up, smiling, nodding, "thank you."

Norman took a deep breath, "with all due respect, this is still my company."

Jay glanced towards him, "right. So, wait. When it's a big company, you cannot follow my orders. Till then, follow them, or I will bring this company down to its knees and force you to sell."

He looked through the other projects, standing up, "other's are a go. Do whatever you want. But not following orders will have consequences. Ones that you don't want to go through. If you think otherwise, then try."

Jay patted Norman's shoulder, passing him by, walking outside, with Natasha following him.

Once they were outside the room, Natasha looked at him again, from head to toe, "I didn't know you had this side to you."

"Super Soldier Serum is a bad idea. It's not something to create good soldiers. Let's say our minds, bodies, and souls are calibrated to 1. That Serum makes our body reach two, but at the same time, it tried to force the mind of the person to keep up. Which stretches the mind and twist it. The twist could be clockwise, like Captain America, or Anti-clockwise, like Red Skull. Either way, it's a bad idea."

Natasha narrowed her eyes, entering the elevator, closing the door, "you have researched it."

"In a way, I have researched its effect. There is one ingredient in Super Soldier Serum that humans can influence but not control."

"Ingredient? Which one?"

Jay smiled, "Fate. It can be influenced by us but not control. Unless Norman can find a way to control it. This will turn badly. And I know you think so too."

Natasha walked out with him, "well, if it was anyone else, then there might have been a chance. But I don't see that guy turning into a hero of justice."

Jay chuckled, "all right, Nadia is the last one? Where is she working? And what?"

"That's the thing. Nadia didn't seem to be working on anything. Instead, she seems to be waiting for an assignment."

"Ah, she doesn't want to give anything," Jay narrowed his eyes, "what did she give the reason? The reason we invited her was because of her research."

"She says that research belongs to someone else, and she can't share it. Although, in the most likely case, her government wouldn't allow her to reveal the details. Though, she does have a proposal. She's waiting in your office."

"Then let's get this over with, shall we?"

Sometime later,

Jay entered the room. His eyes fell on the young girl with brown irises and brown hair. She kept her hair short, to her shoulder-length, yet there was something else about her that made him curious, "so this is where you were. Natasha, can you give us some time? There is something that Nadia and I have to talk about."

Natasha hesitated, going out, "Ok."

Nadia turned her eyes towards Natasha's back, watching her leave, "it's good to see her again."

Jay sat down on the sofa chair adjacent to her, watching Nadia, "Hm, I heard you disappeared in the timestream. But I didn't think you came to this reality. Why?"

Nadia took a deep breath, holding back a cheerful smile, "I knew it was you!! I didn't think it was true!"

Jay looked at her, "it's been a while since I last saw you. You have grown."

Nadia stood up, "yes, but there is something you should know. I recently came to this universe, trying to find you. But none of it was working, and Tony has just become Iron Man. I couldn't find anyone else, and Nick Fury doesn't know about those things."

"So you did something that would attract my attention. A Nadia that is working under the Russian government. You made me look closer."

Nadia stood up, "I wanted to tell you, but Natasha was always with you. So, I had to be patient! But thankfully, I get to tell you now, this universe is in danger."

Jay disinterestedly waved his hand, "most universe that I exist have some kind of danger. It's nothing new."

Nadia shook her head, "this one is dangerous. It's reaching convergence."

Jay leaned forward, "which one? The Norse one, where the dimensions are in a line?"

"No, the other."
