In Tony Stark's House,

"Now I definitely know that you used some technology?! So how do you do it? What did you hide inside his coat?"

Tony was shaking Jay's coat, trying to find some technology, "Wait, is it nano-tech? That must be it?"

Pepper was sitting on the sofa, passing Jay the glass filled with a Manhattan cocktail, "you know magic? How does it work?"

"It's complicated. You would have to understand the multiverse theory to even start understanding how magic even works."

Tony's ear twitched, throwing his long coat aside, watching him leisurely eat cherry, "you never told me you used magic. What else you haven't told me?"

Jay rolled his eyes, putting his hands around Pepper's shoulder, "Wife, you haven't told me that you were cheating on me with Pepper."

Pepper opened her mouth, "you didn't tell him? About us?"

Tony's mouth twitched as he stepped back, explaining, "I was going to tell him. But he wasn't available."

Jay sucked in his lower lip, stooping his smile, minutely shaking his head up and down, "Yeah, he wanted to take me to the dinner. So that I don't take the break up too hard."

Pepper stroked his chest, "don't be upset. I am sure Tony will take out time for you."

Tony pointed at Peppe's hand, lovingly stroking Jay's chest, pointing, "that, that, don't do that...?"

"Don't do what?" Jay and Pepper looked towards him with a curious gaze."

"That, whatever you are doing right now?" He turned around, walking towards the bar, "Ugh...I need a drink."

Jay and Pepper laughed, taking their hands away, raising their glasses, "that was fun."

Pepper scrutinized him, "I thought you were an agent. When did you become a magician?"

"Uh... I was a magician, and then SHIELD was collecting dangerous magical artifacts for safekeeping. Although they didn't know these were magical, they thought artifacts were alien. But I thought some mage went rouge and was using SHIELD as a front..."

"To collect these so-called magical artifacts?" Tony came over, holding scotch in his hand, leaning on the couch.

"Yeah, so I went undercover in SHIELD to poke around until I decided to it wasn't that big a threat. Not for a while. If I take those items forcefully, the whole World Council would be over me."

Tony sat down, "yeah, those guys are a bitch about these things. Anyway, forget about that. Tell me more about this magic thing you do?"

Jay stood up, "maybe some other time. Tonight, I have a date." He opened a portal, revealing the living room of his house, "I will see you tomorrow. Have fun."

He walked in, and the portal closed behind him, leaving a few sparks.

Tony, who had been watching, acting cool, jumped on his feet, waving his hands through where the portal was, "Jarvis, I need energy reports of what happened around here."

Pepper let out a sigh, "Tony..."

"What? Aren't you curious?"

"Conflicted is the right word," Pepper leaned back, a bit curious.

At Home,

Jay entered the house, opening the door of his bedroom. His eyes fell on Natasha, sitting against the bed's headboard, bedcover draped over her legs, holding a book in her hands. He smiled at her, "Hey."

Natasha raised her chin, a slight smile appeared on her heart-shaped lips, "Hey."

Jay walked to the other side of the bed. His boots and socks disappeared as he sat on the bed, sliding over to Natasha until their shoulders were touching.

Natasha leaned towards the side table, taking a USB, putting it in his hand, "here, the data from Hammer."

Jay glanced at it, and the USB disappeared, "thank you. So, how's your agent life going?"

Natasha put the book aside, lying down on the bed, putting her head on the pillow, facing him, "same old same old. If there was a difference, then it's that I am doing more team missions than solo missions. And some of the people that I work with. I might have to kill."

Jay slid down, lying with her, putting his hand on her waist, closing his eyes, "don't worry about that. You might not have to be the one to kill them. If Hydra acts out, then Primo will kill them."

"How can you know that? We don't know if Primo put bombs inside Hydra or he just plans to turn them into his soldiers."

"Because the people that have awakened because of the fire are good and kind people."

"Felicia is a thief."

"Um...she has a fancy palette, but she isn't evil. You are just using her to make your point," Jay smiled, resting his face on his palm, stroking her cheek.

Natasha looked down, hesitating, "I...I don't know about the missions I did. Were they for SHIELD or for Hydra? I don't know...I feel..."

"Betrayed?"

"Compromised. I need to do this. I have the power to take out Hydra, and I will."

Jay hugged her in his arms, closing his eyes, "ok, but for now, get some rest?"

Natasha put her head on his chest, closing her eyes, smiling, "I thought this was a date."

"It is, a boring one, where you get to sleep."

Natasha cuddled in his arms, "it's not boring. Just something I need."

"Me too." Jay closed his eyes, lying with her.

After a while, Natasha parted her lips, "are we really going to just sleep?"

Jay chuckled, kissing her head, "yeah."

The next morning,

Jay was sitting on the sofa, glancing through the company reports from when Natasha walked out, "was there something so important that you got out of bed? Don't you usually like to stay as long as you could?"

Jay raised his hand, sliding it down, revealing the live picture of Banner living with his friend at a Pizza joint, "yeah. I can't sleep well with Banner in New York. So, I was just keeping an eye on him."

Natasha sat down beside him, folding her legs on top of the sofa, pulling the screen showing Banner's footage towards her, "yeah, even SHIELD has been searching for him. Do you have any plans for him?"

"Yes, I think I have something for Banner that he might like. But then he is not the only problem," Jay waved his other hand, and a live image of a hammer in a crater appeared.

"This is New Mexico, a hammer that fell from the space. But he wasn't the only thing that fell from space."

Jay opened another screen, showing her the pictures of Thor. Inside the rainbow beam, to him falling on the ground, getting struck by a van, and a few more.

"Did he just fell out of space?" Natasha curiously looked at the pictures, "or did he get involved in this phenomenon?"

"No, he fell from the space. Also," Jay showed her another picture, of a different set of stars, comparing them to what stars should have been. Placing them on top of each other, highlighting one group of stars, "these don't match."

"It's a wormhole," Jay narrowed his eyes. It had been some time since he saw this, "we have an alien on our hand. One that came with his hammer, which is dangerous. I can't decide which one I should pay more attention to."

Natasha frowned, "let me talk to Fury. He must have sent someone over. We can take on each to cover the grounds."

Jay leaned back on the couch, lying down, putting his head on her lap, "Ok."

Natasha stroked his hair, calling Nick Fury, putting the phone on the loudspeaker.

But Maria Hill picked the call, "Romanoff? Director is busy."

"Yes, I am with Jay. And according to him, the hammer in New Mexico fell from space, through the wormhole."

"I am sending the data that I have collected so far to you."

"Anyway, there is also a live feed of Banner. I need to ask him who is going where."

"Wait, I am connecting to him, and I got the data. I will let the experts check it out."

Jay rolled his eyes, "I am the expert."

Natasha covered his face with her palm, giving him a berating look, "please do connect."

Shortly, Fury's voice came from the other side, "Agent Romanoff, I heard the details. Is Jay there?"

Natasha removed her palm from his face, making Jay raise his hand, "present, sir."

Natasha tapped her finger on his forehead with force while Fury talked, "how sure are you? About this alien theory?"

"Hm...about...100%?"

"That much. All right, you take New Mexico. Coulson is already there, and Hawkeye is on the way."

Natasha furrowed her brows, "shouldn't I be going to New Mexico? Jay can teleport. He could easily take Hulk away from populated areas."

"Yes, but if it's an alien, then Agent Romanoff, do you have any idea how to deal with it?"

Natasha glanced towards Jay, her thumb stroking his cheek, "do you?"

"Yeah, I do have a few ideas. Don't worry, I can handle it."

"Then we are done here."
