"So, because you were at the center of two worlds merging, the infinity stones merged the two parts of you as well?"

"Basically, that. If Wanda hadn't figured it out, I would've remained frozen," Jay drank hot chocolate, adjusting the warm blanket as he deceived with confidence.

Tony raised his eyebrow, looking at him, "that does not suit you."

"What doesn't suit me?" Jay tilted his head in confusion.

"Relaxing, I guess. I didn't even know that you could relax and be so...laidback."

Jay shrugged, "I lost my powers, Tony. The world thinks that I am dead. Even if I came back, there are quite a few who'd deny that, saying I am from the parallel world. I don't want all that drama."

"Wait, wait, your property? Everything that you owned has been transferred as per your will. Even I got the tech portion of it. I'll transfer it back to you the moment I get back, and I doubt the others would refuse."

"My will? I never had a will," Jay frowned when Wanda looked up from Emma, "could be Echo's doing. You think...she came up with the same idea as me?"

Jay parted his lips, pressing them, "maybe...probably. No wonder she has disappeared." She wasn't in these two universes anymore.

"Your AI made your will after your supposed death and disappeared," Tony leaned back, with an incredulous smile on his face, "she saved your butt, didn't she."

Jay let out a breath, "that she did. But...I don't think I want it back." He already had enough property as Primo. The other was just an extra burden.

"Wait," He looked towards Wanda, "do you want the money?"

Wanda raised her chin, thinking, "not really. It wouldn't feel right if I did."

Jay shrugged, "then it's a no. I really don't want to deal with all that. Although, I did like Maria."

"Hill?"

"No, Castle. She was my secretary. Give her a good job," Jay smiled.

"So, you are not coming back? Tony frowned, "even if you can't fight, the Avengers need you."

"Avengers?"

"Yeah, the New Earth is different from ours. It's filled with threats, but it has its defenders as well. But the supervillains might think that it's easier to take ours, or that is what Fury thinks. And I agree with him. So, I am turning Stark Tower into Avengers Tower. Inhumans have their own team; even your prodigy Skye and Gravity Girl are seemingly working together now. Then Spider and Cat seemed to have formed one combined with something alien. I think it's one of those Symbiote Suits. More and More of these Superheroes are emerging, and it's a source of worry since supervillains won't be far behind. We could use a liaison."

Jay shook his head, "maybe if something major happens. Till then...I'll stay here."

Tony stood up, "well, you deserve the rest if that is what you want. I'll leave, for now, delay the others."

He glanced towards Jean, looking at her hair, stopping in his tracks, shooting a look at Jay, "you have a thing for red hair, don't you?"

Jay closed his eyes, "trust me...it's not like that. It just...happens like that."

Tony scoffed, patting his shoulder, "good to have you back. Visit me when you are done."

"I will when I have the permission," Jay peeked towards Wanda, smiling as she fixed her gaze on him.

Tony pulled on Pietro's collar, pulling him out, watching him eat popcorn, "wait!! Wait!! This is the exciting part! Iron Man, you can't take me away!"

"Come on, kid. It's time for the adults to talk."

"Aren't you adult?!"

"Well, adults of opposite genders."

Jay chuckled, watching them as they disappeared from his view. He shifted his eyes towards Jean, "you are really patient. You were never this patient before."

"Which Jay are you?" Jean sat down on the low table in front of him, closely watching him.

"Both."

"Then you know," Jean muttered, taking a deep breath, "I want to know what happened? A decade ago. Something happened between you and us, didn't it?"

Jay nodded, "yes, it did. You possessed a power far greater than any other mutant, and I helped you become one with it."

"Pheonix," Jean raised her hand, and a white flame appeared on it, "you helped me?"

"It was for selfish reasons, of course. I thought that with this power, you'd be able to resist my powers," Jay leaned back, "and in some ways, you did. You and Emma in her diamond form. I got some company in you."

"Then, why?"

"Memories...the power worked through the memories," Jay whispered, "it struck at the moments of weakness when Emma wasn't in her diamond form. Frankly, it was like a plague. End result? A complete memory wipe."

Jean nodded, glancing away with a light blush on her face. She crossed her legs, circling her hair around her finger, hesitating, "so, did something happen?"

Jay shook his head before nodding, "yes, I am sorry. I am not sure if you were under my powers when it happened. Or was it because it happened that you were affected by my powers. Sorry."

Jean stared at the roof, "not sure if I should be angry. I mean...I don't even remember. Although I have the dreams, I look happy in them, and then...you did kinda kill yourself, in the only way possible."

She took a deep breath, glancing towards Emma, "was I...like her?"

Jay winced, closing his one eye, "trust me. You don't want to know."

Jean glared at him, "but I do want to know, and I am not leaving until I do."

Wanda widened her eyes, blankly looking at her, "excuse me?"

Jean shot a look at her, "didn't you say that the mutants have a place in your country? I talked to the Professor. Mutants have no place in our world, and since you are a reality warper. Nuke shouldn't be a problem either. We want to see if we can make our place here. A world that hasn't been poisoned about mutants."

"Oh, sure," Wanda smiled, "we would love to have you and the Enhanced."

Jay stood up, holding the laptop and the blanket, "I am just gonna leave and never appear in front of you ever again."

He rushed off before Jean could even say anything, entering the closest room. He shut the door, looking at the weapons. He looked at the pool bath, "yeah, wrong room. But I really don't want to go back out there. Yeah, I'll stay here."

Living Room,

Wanda chuckled, wiping the sweat off her forehead, glancing towards who was staring at the door, "you are still reading his mind?"

"I am trying," Jean looked towards the door with interest, "but it's like hundreds of people are talking at the same time. It's all gibberish."

Wanda focused on Emma, surprise, whispering, "he can still do that? I guess it freed up his mind a bit."

Jean looked towards Emma, peacefully sleeping, "she will kill him when she wakes up. I can't bring myself to hate him, and precisely that is why I want to kill him. But I can't...she will."

"I have to help her, either way," Wanda murmured, curling her lips, "never thought that I would have to worry about him getting hurt."

New York, Queens,

Primo sat on the chair, using the pen to write on the electronic pad. Because he lost most of his soul, his control over his flames had plummeted down to the bottom level. He wasn't sure what would come out if he tried to use them.

That was why he was preparing weapons, and what better weapons than that of the famiglia. The person whose identity he took created. Before, his strength was too strong to even have the necessity of using these weapons.

Now, he needed every last one of them.

"Are you really Ruby's father?"

He looked up, seeing Skye sit on the adjacent chair to him, with a haggard but curious expression on her face, "yes, but what is wrong with you? PTSD?"

Skye shook her head, looking away, "no..."

"Worried about your mentor?"

Skye curled her lips with a saddened expression, "worried about him? What's left to worry...he went ahead and got himself killed."

Primo rested his chin on the pen, narrowing his eyes, "wait, does everyone think he's dead?"

Skye blinked, looking up with a glimmer in her eyes, "what do you mean everyone thinks?"

"Well, he survived but lost his powers. So, he's in Sokovia, you weren't told? Well, it's understandable; only a few know of it. Even Tony didn't know until today," Primo looked down, without looking at Skye, who stood up, "I am his...I should know!"

She walked off, thumping her fist on Ruby's door, "Ruby! Pack your bags! We are going for a trip!"
