"Charles, is something the matter?"

"Logan," Charles watched the empty garden, with barely a few mutant children to be seen, "This place...used to be filled with potential children."

Logan smiled, "Now everyone is going to Genosha, the Nation ruled by their Hero. Does that bother you?"

Charles shook his head, "Not so much...I just think maybe it's time we give up and go to Genosha as well. The recent attack on Genosha...if we were attacked like that...without Jean here..."

Logan crossed his hands, "Omega Flight doesn't want to protect Genosha?"

"No, it was Sephiroth's wish for Omega Flight to not interfere. He didn't even let Yohra interfere."

"Storm," Logan looked back, "Morning."

"Morning," Storm walked over, standing behind Charles, "Professor."

Charles smiled; before long, his face was covered with a worried look, "Storm...it's more than that. It was short-sighted of Omega Flight to agree with Sephiroth's demands. How do you think it would seem to all the other Mutants that haven't been outed till now? They will think that Omega Flight doesn't want to protect the Mutants. Once that happens, they will be worried...their parents, if accepting, will be worried, and soon they will find their way to Genosha as well."

Ororo didn't deny it, "That came up in the meetings, and some of our strategists figured that was Sephiroth's purpose, one of them. But the political situation made it so that we had to agree, even now that he is gone. In our time...you don't just refuse a man like Sephiroth."

"Hmm," Charles sighed, 'I am afraid that might be true...which is why I don't want to be a part of Genosha."

"You are talking like things have changed?" Logan curiously looked at him, "Do you think something is about to change?"

"I have studied Sephiroth...everything he did since his birth, and I feel it has reached one of those crucial points where there would be another wave."

"But Sephiroth's gone," Ororo raised her eyebrow.

"Is he? Then why didn't Omega Flight interfere?"

Ororo didn't have an answer to that question, making Charles smile, "Just because the man is gone doesn't mean his influence."

Charles stopped, looking up, "We have a guest."

"Guest?" Logan and Ororo looked up, seeing a young woman, in her early twenties, sitting on a staff, flying over with a smile on her lips. She stopped in front of them, getting off it, chuckling, "Hello, it's good to see you, Professor."

"Miss Aerith," Charles greeted her kindly, "I have only heard of your legends. It's an honor to meet you."

Aerith waved her hand, leaning forward, smiling, "So? Did you figure out why I am here?"

Charles shook his head, "Not exactly, but I suppose it has something to do with the attack?"

"Yes, and No, but I am sure Dr. Charles Francis Xavier would have a better guess than this? Right?"

"It's Sephiroth?" Logan spoke what Professor Charles didn't, making the smile on Aerith's lips widen, "I see, you have figured out that much. He left with a few suggestions. I am sure you'd like this one. If you are interested in hearing?"

"I am."

"Also, did you get the report from Omega Flight?"

"No, not yet. But there was an incident yesterday."

"Well, that incident might be very much related to you. I think Omega Flight must be compiling data and the possibility that Wanda had told them about. I had hoped I didn't have to explain everything, but let's go over it."

"Please, this way."

Genosha,

"Magneto, you want something?"

Magneto stood in the park for mutants, looking at Sephiroth and Emma sitting on the park bench like lovers, spending time with each other. But it seems that Emma was using her powers to make sure the mutants around them didn't disturb them.

"Emma," Magneto watched her, "It's a surprise that you still care about your fellow mutants."

Emma scoffed, "You think you can run Genosha and work on all those projects without the help of AIM?"

Magneto crossed his arms, "You should be giving that chance to the mutants. There are many of them here that are smart enough to be working in that company of yours."

Sephiroth leaned back, looking at Emma, who pressed her lips, "Monica and I are busily expanding AIM. And as much as I hate to say, my being a part of it already closes a few doors, and adding more mutants would have created conflict and bogged down the expansion."

She took Sephiroth's arm, "I wanted to expand as much as I could and fill the holes that would be created in process with the mutants and solidify the company's foundation."

"Ok," Sephiroth smiled at her, without saying anything, turning his eyes towards Magneto, "Why are you here?"

"We were attacked. If we don't retaliate, then people would assume we are weak."

"Hmm, tell me, Magneto. What do you think would be the grand purpose of our Enemy? What do they desire? What do they hope to get out of the attack?"

Magneto's eyes met Emma; he frowned, wondering, "To cause mass casualties?"

"Ok," Sephiroth nodded, "Let's take it one step further. The Enemy stayed in the Dark Universe and had plenty of time to collect information. Then if you were in the Enemy's place, and knew everything, knew about me. How high are the chances that this attack would succeed?"

"Not very high, but those are Sentinels; they could be just collecting data to improve them before the next time they try. Moreover, there was no news from you. So I'd attack just to draw you out."

Sephiroth sighed, "That's the problem with you...you think of humans to be beneath you. Let me make it simpler. This attack wasn't to kill mutants; it was just to force us to show our powers. Our technology. Now that it's out there, we have supernatural powers and technology bound to spread fear among human nations. Do you know what happens when humans fear?"

"They lash out."

"Right," Sephiroth smiled, "They last out. Until now, the mutant-human sentiments had been calm. No new weapons were being developed against mutants, and most of the mutants that emerged took shelter. There are few, the likes of X-Men and Deadpool, that are still out there, but other than them, everyone is in Genosha. And with Oracle, we never leave chances of letting anyone experiment on mutants. Now, things will change."

"Our brethren will become much more active, and they will start developing counter-measure against mutants. And once that happens...all hell will break loose. Our Enemy will have more chances, opportunities, and people to use to serve their purpose. So when I asked you...What is the Grand Purpose behind this attack, the motivation, the ideology? What should have been your answer?"

"To drive a wedge between humans and mutants?"

Sephiroth smiled, "Hm, yes. Now, tell me should we prepare our army to attack them like barbarians or attack that ideology altogether."

Magneto narrowed his eyes, "Is that why you didn't send me to talk to Charles?"

Sephiroth pointed in the space in front of Magneto, causing the space to slice open, "Please. This should take you to Charles Xavier."

Magneto stared at the space that was cut apart, waving like curtains, with  bright purple chaos behind it, "If I hadn't come to ask you?"

"Then you would be going to meet your boyfriend, now. Would you?"

Magneto grunted, without saying anything as he stepped inside, the space healing right after.

Emma put her head on Sephiroth's shoulder, "Mmm, babe. You are pretty patient with this him. Is there a reason why?"

Sephiroth kissed her golden hair, "I think that I am pretty patient with you as well, my dear."

Emma raised her chin, caressing his cheek, "Why not come to see me?"

"Emma," Sephiroth raised her chin, planting a kiss on her lips, sucking on her upper lip, her tongue, "I have been used to a long life...much longer than you can imagine. Now that life-limit is only ever-expanding to Immortal in the real sense. I have time...and I'd instead not finish meeting my favorite people all in one day."

Emma closed her eyes, "It would take some getting used to."

"That it would."
