"W-Woah!"

Shallot fell through the sky at breakneck speeds, realizing at the same time that he was alive, and if he couldn't fly, he wouldn't last for long. He twirled in the sky and focused as the city of Tokyo below him came rushing up.

*CRASH*

Well. He wasn't dead, but, that landing could have been better.

"Damn...ow, ow, ow..."

He climbed out of the roadway and heard beeping. "Hey! What the hell, man!" Some guy shouted at him. His fist raised, voice muffled by a mask, "Get out of the damn road!"

Shallot sighed and stood, shaking asphalt from his head. "Jeez. I can tell I'm back in Japan, that's for sure."

Alive. He was...alive.

Not even the rude people of Tokyo could sour his mood. Shallot left the road, looking around at all the people, buildings, and signs, before a giddy feeling welled up. He smiled. "Man...Mr. Perfect, you did it."

Just to check he looked behind him and saw that he had a brown furry tail attached to his backside. "A saiyan. In...real life."

It wasn't a dream, though. He touched the tail, rubbing it as his back tingled, before shaking his head. "I'll freak out later. First...I have to save Chisato!"

Shallot felt his person for the capsule and pulled it out, before realizing the sidewalk wasn't the best sort of place for a time machine to suddenly appear. He needed somewhere more...private. Ah, his home. It was large and probably vacant, seeing as his parents were never there, and would be the best choice due to its large living room.

He ran down the street before forgetting he could just jump the buildings and get there faster. "That's right. I'm a saiyan....might as well make the most of it."

Shallot hid into an alley and jumped, landing on top of the building with the ease of a newborn giraffe. It was harder than he thought to control his power and energy. This wasn't a game anymore, so there weren't instructions. He had to rely on what he knew. Luckily for him he'd played the game through and every DLC as well. It didn't take him long and he was running across buildings with confident strides, hopping over them like a ninja. A ninja with a tail. Who could fire kamehameha waves.

"I'm home. Not that you or dad are, though."

Shallot tapped down just outside the gate of his residence. It had taken him all of thirty minutes to get there, and he took a moment to reflect. Never in his life would he have believed one day he'd die and be reborn as a saiyan. When life gives you lemons, come back and save the world, eh?

His home took up quite a bit of space. It had three stories, all prime landscape construction, modern, and isolated. It was perfect.

"The gates locked."

Shouldn't be a problem for a saiyan. He grabbed the lock and yanked as hard as he could, only intending to break the lock, but the entire gate warped and came off its hinges. He had to jump back to avoid getting smacked with it.

"Well...that's done. A little overkill."

He smirked.

Once inside he went to his room, seeing it the same as he'd left it. Only on his bookshelves housing novels were a lot of dust. Even his bed hadn't been made, just like the day he'd died. It was quite eerie to see that, really.

Shallot went to his closet, pulling it open and flicking the light on. There he had his first look of himself in his new body.

"Damn. I clean up good. Chisato is going to fall head over heels!"

Slightly tan skin, high cheekbones, thick dark brows, sharp, upturned almond eyes, a straight nose, and just the right amount of lips. His hair was slightly long, but styled upwards, as if he had his own personal hair dresser at all times. Every strand was perfection, with one lock of hair coming down in front.

His body was built with muscles. Tall, with broad shoulders and clear cut lines of definition made Shallot flex his pecs in the mirror. That's when he realized he was wearing that blue armor still. That wouldn't do. He'd stick out like a sore thumb, and look like some sexy cosplayer.

With that in mind he changed his clothes, putting on the largest T-shirt he owned, which once upon a time came down over his hands and body, now a snug fit. The black T-shirt read, 'Death: Our Nations Number One Killer'.

He threw on some baggy khaki shorts that his grandmother had given him, thanking his lucky stars that she'd gotten his size wrong. They barely fit. Of course, Shallot had to look at his 'junk' and oogle it, too. Oh yeah. He could please ANY lady with that.

Ahh, now isn't the time to jerk off, though...

He sighed and looked at his H novels longingly, before rolling his eyes. "Pfft. I'm a saiyan god of perfection. I don't need H novels, not when I can get the real thing."

The real thing would be great. He'd been a virgin IRL, but in game he'd been a babe magnet. Now, he had the chance to pick from any chick. But...the only girl he had in mind was of course, that tiny one, Chisato Shino.

After putting on socks and shoes he wondered just how he'd hide his tail. It was kind of annoying, not able to take it off, so he hid it beneath his shorts, going down one leg.

"Aright...I guess this will do. I need to get going."

He crept down to the living room, and that's when he sensed something off. It was like his tail was telling him 'hey, bad vibes bro' and he stilled on the steps, before hearing a loud boom.

The step landing down below blew apart.

It all happened at once. The wall burst, and a group of armed men swarmed in with weapons raised. Shallot somersaulted backwards, and heard the sounds of a semi auto going off just where he'd been standing.

"Hey! What the hell!" Shallot shouted.

"Up there. Target acquired."

His unwelcome visitors wore heavy padded black armor, bullet proof vests, head gear, and some even had clear shields. It was as though a team of SWAT guys just invaded.

Shallot cursed and ran through the hallway--quickly--and kicked his bedroom door in. He only had one window in there. It was large, going all the way to the ceiling, and he punched through the glass and jumped, swinging himself up and out to the roof.

"Ha....ha...damn."

Whoever they were, they meant business. He could hear and sense their footfalls trying to find him. That's when shots rang out from below his feet. They were firing through the ceiling.

"Dammit! Leave me the hell alone!"

He was struck with an array of bullets. It stung, but didn't hurt too bad.

Shallot jumped off the roof of his three story home, landed with a clean finish, and punched through the brick fencing. He then dashed away, trying to think on where he should go. It was clear whoever was after him had to know he'd be there at that time, and was waiting for his arrival.

"Chisato...I have to save her."

They weren't after him, really, just trying to prevent Shallot from going back in time.

He didn't stop jumping and running until well within the city, skidding out on the sidewalk and hopping across a car hood. He heard a blare of a horn and kept going, all the way to the poor district of Ofuku. He could tell when he got there that Chisato had lived there, once upon a time. The houses fell down, down in quality, and the people changed from being businessman to drug addicts, not wearing their masks despite the epidemic, and none would look him in the eye.

Finally he neared her apartment. It was a good thing he'd memorized her address, after looking at her file during one of his council meetings. At that time he'd been aiming to walk her home, but well, shit happened.

"No..."

He gazed up where her apartment complex should have been. It was gone. There weren't any remnants left. It had been demolished.

"Chisato...dammit. You were going to be homeless, weren't you? Is that why...you..gave up?" He asked her ghost.

His teeth grit. That tiny girl had gone through so much. He had no idea. If he had...well, he'd had given her his home, of course. At least that's what he'd liked to believe his past self would do. After all, his parents wouldn't have cared, and Shironui could have used a cute girlfriend.

With a sigh of sadness he took out the capsule. Even if the people around here saw what he was doing, they probably wouldn't blink an eye. Not like the city.

Shallot popped the Capsule, and out from it burst a machine that could only be made in the lab of Mr. Perfect. It had a dome shaped pilot seat, legs close to its body, and the emblem emblazoned on the side. The majority of it was glass, and yellow with black stripes.

"Should be in a science fiction movie." He said, looking it over to see where to open the hatch. Finally he found the button and it raised. He jumped up into it and heard guns firing.

He'd been followed. No, not followed, but the enemy was waiting for him to go there, as well. Shallot swore and swung down the dome, looking across the many buttons of the control helplessly.

"Dammit, Trunks, you didn't tell me how to work this fucking thing!"

Bullets ricocheted off the time machine as he looked them over, finally seeing a date module. He'd use the up and down keys to select not the day he'd died, as Trunks wanted, but when Chisato had died, instead. Shironui didn't matter anymore. Not now that he was Shallot. The only issue was he didn't know when she'd died.

"Wait...what day was it that she came in game?"

He pondered that for a time. Two months. Almost to the day after Shironui died had been when Chisato became Rhuda.

He set the day one night in advance just in case he was wrong and hit: Enter

The time machine began to activate and raised up. He looked out the window and saw the buildings fade away.

"Aww shit...I'm really going back in time." He shook his head. "Nobody would ever believe this was really happening."

The time machine blinked in the sky. Shallot vanished.

"I'm sorry that I...I'm worthless after all. I wish that I was somewhere else."

"Hic...hic...please, take me away from here! I don't care where!"

Shallot had made it to the correct night after all. He saw tiny Chisato talking to herself and staring off the edge daringly. It was surreal. And fucking cold, because winter. But he shivered and jumped up just as her feet slid on the snow, catching the lightweight against him in the moonlight.

"I will, then." He said.

"Kya!"

Chisato screamed for a second until she realized that she wasn't dying. Her face rose, nose pink from crying and coldness, and looked him in the face. "...Who....are you?" She asked in a daze.

"Shallot. Your hero."

He sat them both down and sighed with relief. Mission accomplished.

The apartment she lived in was still standing, and he peeked at it. Definitely where the poor lived.

Chisato shivered and began crying. "Hic...! W-Why did you...do that?"

Shallot had to think of an answer that sounded halfway decent. He leaned, ruffling her head and said, "I saw you. What, you think I should have just let you die like that?"

"N-No...ano..." She bowed. "...T-thank you."

"If you really wanna thank me, go out with me." He smirked.

Chisatos blinked at him in a daze. Not what she'd been expecting. "E-Eh?"

"Yeah. I saved your life there, girly. It's the least you can do."

Slowly she nodded.

Dammit. She's so gullible! Shallot shut his eyes. Good thing I'm not a rapist or anything, damn.

"I told you my name. What's yours?" He asked.

"C-Chisato. Uhm...S-Shino?"

"Don't sound too sure about that." He teased.

"S-Sorry! Ano...uhm, Shallot, sir?"

Sir? He wasn't a sir! "Oi! I'm not that old. I'm your age."

"O-Oh. Forgive me...then, are you a...model? Or...I'm sorry! I'm being so rude!" She bowed over and over.

"Nah. Not a model. Just a guy who saw a cute girl falling from a building."

He shivered. Not the best choice to wear shorts.

"You can have this." She took off her scarf and handed it to him. Shallot shook his head, "I'm fine, nood--err, Chisato."

"But...you're shivering, Shallot..."

"Heh. I'll be fine. C'mon, let's get out of this cold air."

Before she could protest he grabbed her to him and jumped onto the building. At that second he heard people running and shouting.

"He's not here! Hurry, find the girl!" Someone shouted.

Shallot swore under his breath. "Damn...they're here, too!"

"Y-You can jump so high!" Chisato said, looking up at him in a daze.

"Er yeah. I'm uh, training. To be the...uhh...ahh, fuck it." He sighed. "Look, I'm a saiyan."

"Eh? What's a...saiyan?"

"Later. We'll talk later. For now, just assume that I'm here to save you, Chisato. You're being hunted, and I'm the only guy who can stop these fucks." He said, jumping across the buildings. He needed to get away, somewhere they wouldn't look for him.

"Eh...? I'm...being hunted?"

"Yep. Good. Looks like I'm shaking them off."

He looked down at the tiny thing in his arms. She was warm, and soft, but so fragile. Breakable. And...too cute. As Shironui, he'd only got up and close those two times, but now he had a clear view of the girl named Chisato Shino. She had freckles, and her brown eyes reflected like two onyx gemstones. Her dark lashes were long and curled at the tip, and he saw her tiny mouth was a little chapped from the cold.

She was a doll.

"Y-You're staring at me..." her head ducked down.

"I am. Get used to it. You're beautiful, and I'm a guy who can appreciate beauty when he sees it. Oi, don't get scared! I'm not a stalker. Just...a guy, who..." he trailed off, staring at the redness that rose to her pale face, how her eyes darted off shyly.

Ahh. I'm falling for her! This was much easier when it was just a damn game...!

"You...think...that I'm beautiful?" She asked.

"Y-Yeah!" He nodded vigorously like a true idiot.

"Uuu..."

"H--hey! Don't cry...! Aw man..." he stopped running and tucked her to his chest, inhaling sweet cuteness through his nose.

"..Fuma-kun....thinks Uma-san is m-much prettier than I am...hic..."

"Fuma-kun? Psst, that guy is a joke. The true MVP is me."

"You know Fuma-kun? Are you...his friend?" She asked, swiping tears with the edge of her school blazer.

"Was. Key word there, WAS. But now I know he's a total fake tard. Should have known. And...he broke your heart." Shallot said.

"Hic...! He and Uma-san...t-they...they...!"

He pet her head and saw from the corner of his eye a red beam. A sniper.

Shallot turned, covering Chisato protectively just as his back was hit. It stung more than the regular bullets. His back burned. Another bullet rang out. "..Ow."

"S-Shallot! W-What was that? It...couldn't have been a gun!"

"Don't worry. I'm tough."

"B-But you were shot!"

Chisato was freaking out. He couldn't blame her. She probably thought he would be dying. "Yeah. No biggie."

"E-Eh?"

"I'm a saiyan. Well, anyway, we should probbbably get moving. They're using a special gun to sense our body heat. Can you hang on to me?" He asked.

Chisato wrapped her small arms around his waist. "Like this?"

"Y-Yeah." Oh god. I'm getting a boner. Endure...endure.. "I'm gonna fly now. Or try. We're going to go to Tokyo. I'm gonna find that bastard old man and beat the shit out of him and his whole team of psychos."

I'm super happy to get to expand on Shallots character. I hope you're enjoying the different perspective!
