"Keep moving, you dogs! No rest until you finish your quota!"

In the frozen fort, a skeleton with a whip was yelling and forcing female frost wolves to carry large rocks and wood for the construction of the bridge. The bridge is said to provide easy access to valuable lumber resources for the demon army.

"Tsk. What the heck is with this weather?"

Thick fog suddenly formed around the fort and the bridge construction site. Needless to say, work became impossible. And the demons didn't want to put their precious dogs at risk. Currently they are used as leverage as well as slaves.

The frost wolves won't attack as long as their women are in danger. Likewise, the women won't try to escape out of fear that the tribe will be destroyed in their absence.

"Alright. That's enough for today. Get back in your cells! Thank the Gods for this moment!"

------

It goes without saying that the fog was caused by Lina. It brings back memories when I fought her a year ago. Although I am not fond of hide and seek, Lina's fog is special. It's like her own dimension where she can shift reality. Because of this, we basically can walk right in as if we are invisible.

A demon would need to be extremely high level to even realize it. Finding us however is again a different matter. So right now, as long as we don't speak, we can roam around as we like. We just had to wait and see where all the cute doggies are taken. I always wanted a puppy, but this is a bit sad. They're worse than stray dogs. Scars and bruises, and their fur looks like it hasn't been washed in ages.

Leaving that aside, we eventually found the building we wanted. And we heard about a very important "prize" being kept there. So we made our way straight to it. The fog doesn't work indoors, but what guards we encountered, Lina sliced them with her katana before they could even make a sound.

Eventually we reached a big cell room at the end of a corridor. The doors were made out of iron with only a small hole with bars to see inside. It's kinda high for me, but I just casually floated up to it. Inside the cell I saw something. A cute wolf girl, wrapped in chains. She was completely immobilized, but at the same time, she looked the healthiest. No wounds on her body. Soon, her nose twitched and she noticed me.

"The hell you want? You're not a demon. You don't smell like one. Is this a new form of torture?"

"I'm here to free you. We tried talking to the other girls, but they don't want to leave without you. Mind telling me why?"

"Free? Don't joke around. I'm not in the mood for fucked up games."

"That's not a nice thing to say. Anyway, this door is in the way."

I could have easily finger flicked it, but I turned around and asked mommy Shera to brake it. She really felt like she wanted to swing her hammer.

*BAAANG*

And of course, the door didn't stand a chance. Mom is pretty strong when it comes to physical strength. Maybe stronger than Lina.

"Oi, you crazy? The guards will hear and…"

"No need to worry, all guards in this building were killed already. Now that the pesky door is out of the way, let's get to know each other properly. I'm Ayaka, that's my mommy Shera and my big sis Lina. And you are?"

Seeing how easy the door was trashed, she made an audible gulp. Her fur rose up and her ears were sharp.

"I'm Rena. Given our current situation I'm the chief's daughter…"

Ok. That pretty much explains why she doesn't have wounds on her and why the others don't want to leave without her. I wonder if her mom's dead, since non of the females here mentioned anything about who runs the shots.

"So, miss Rena, wanna get out of here?"

"Of course I do, but I can't. We can't. These chains can't be broken. And even if we managed to escape, it will only spill disaster for the tribe."

"Let's take them one step at a time. First, the chains. Lina, do you mind?"

Without saying a word, she gracefully drew her katana again. She got quite used to wielding it. And with great precision, she sliced through all the chains, setting Rena free.

"What the...!? These chains were supposed to be unbreakable."

"Ara ara, who told you that? This metal is just a little better than iron. I wouldn't even use this to make horseshoes."

Rena was confused. It's like she couldn't believe what she was seeing with her own eyes. More importantly… I so want to mofu mofu her right now. But I gotta restrain myself until everyone is back safe.

"Alright. You girls seem capable. If we free the others, I am sure together we can escape. If we reach the town fast, we might prepare a counter attack in time."

"Why would you prepare a counter?"

"Are you an idiot!? For the demons that are gonna chase us!!"

"Oh. You don't need to worry about that. I'll take care of them."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't see why you are so confused. Once we step out of here, I'm going to personally kill all of them. You understand now?"

"Is that supposed to be a fucking joke!? Grow up already you brat!"

It seems she doesn't want to believe me. I hate this part about being a loli. Nobody is taking me serious. I can understand why they think that way. But there's that saying: don't judge a book by its cover. For now I gave up on trying to justify. She and the others will just have to see with their own eyes.

With that in mind, we released everyone from their cells. Rena kept trying to talk to them about an ambush, or try to make a charge and head straight for the door, but all that really isn't necessary. When we got outside, I signaled Lina to cancel her fog. I need to see so I can kill everyone.

~Rena's point of view~

Just what's up with this runt. She's no bigger than me, but she acts so high and mighty. She may have managed to sneak in here, but seriously, killing everyone? That's not possible.

If only mom were still alive, she would know what to do. Calm down. Papa taught me basic strategy. We need to move like a pack and overwhelm them. That's right. The moment they see us we need to charge through the gates. That's right. Believe in the pack. Even if some are more injured, this is our only chance to escape this nightmare. Everyone is counting on me here!

"Oi!! What do you muts think you're doing!? Get the fuck back in your cells! Do you want us to take the lives we graciously spared?"

This is it! It's now or never! Put power behind my legs and…

"Excuse me, mister demon, but you're in the way. Could you move aside? I'm afraid I'll have to kill everyone here if you don't cooperate."

This absolute idiot!! What the fuck is she doing!? She's drawing too much attention on us. Quickly, look for an alternate route. Come on, think Rena, think!

"Hahahaha! That's a good one. Who the hell do you think you are? These are our dogs. If you instigated this, then I'll make sure to let you live long enough so that you may realize that all the blood we spill, will be on your hands!"

"No thanks. I don't want blood on me. But you are right about one thing. All of you… will spill blood."

When she said that, her cute smile turned serious… and my eyes… no. My mind couldn't comprehend what happened next.
