Here it is Ladies and Gentlemen,
You voted for it, you wanted it, and you frankly asked for it. It's the final version of the 1st piece of Monster art, which I hope to continue commissioning in the future. I have all manner of Beasties in this head of mine, ready to take nightmarish form.
We have the first monstrous nightmare added to this epic tale, the Wodhling, a twisted amalgamation of flesh, nature and dark magic, they are the agents of the order (hopefully you know who by now).
This is the scene from Book 2 Chapter 21 Flesh and Nature, if you haven't read this story and found your way here to look at the neat artwork... STOP! Go read, don't spoil the story for yourself. Nah, just joshin ya, go ahead do what you want.

Hey Ince,
That was done on purpose, but it is actually a cocoon, a way to capture living prey and digest them slowly while still alive. The creature is meant to be sadistic blend of flesh and nature, one that fulfills its cravings for human flesh. It means to trap its prey and slowly squeeze the life out of them while digesting them without a chance of escape, you are alive and its not a pretty way to go.
A long way to answer your question, which essentially boils down to yes. That was meant to be.
It looks good. But I have a feeling that the hole that went from the monster's leg to his stomach looks somewhat like womanhood. I am not trying to seem replaced, and it is a good piece of art.
I am still curious whether it was down on purpose
