I take a deep breath and open the door. According to the info from the 'Shop', the current protector of the New York Sanctum is Master Daniel Drumm, the one that will be killed by Kaecilius and his Zealots.

"Hello?" I look around and I can't see anything

"Yes?" I hear a voice behind me and it makes me jump a little, damn magic is awesome I didn't feel anything at all.

"Who am I speaking to?" gotta play the part

He just raises an eyebrow "My name is Daniel Drumm"

"Well then. Master Drumm I seek entry to Kamar-Taj for the purpose of studying the mystic arts"

His reaction was priceless, eyes widened, jaw dropped, then he turned aggressive " How do you know of this!"

"I know many things about this world Master Drumm, usually the people who search for Kamar-Taj are broken and look for healing, I'm not that different from them, I was broken but as I fixed myself I learned things, which have led me to here. Can you please pass my request to The Ancient One"    I knew from the start that this will be a gamble, there is a 20% chance of her just killing me on the spot, 30% is me getting rejected, but a 50% chance to learn Magic is worth the chance

And this is from an indifferent standpoint, if who I meet is the one from the movies then there's at least 70% chance of me learning magic, no matter what, the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj are constantly at war form other-dimensional beings, she rejected Strange because she feared him going dark, that idea was fresh on her mind after Kaecilius, me being here changes things, I don't know how it will affect her ability to see the future since Master Drumm wasn't informed of my arrival I can assume she didn't know.

"You even know of The Ancient One, very well I will inform the Sorcerer Supreme of your request, don't touch anything if you value your life"

"Of course, these relics are dangerous to any who have not studied the Mystic Arts, take your time I will be meditating until you come back" I just smile mysteriously at him

"You.. no never mind asking you would be pointless" he just leaves

I find a comfy chair, take off my boots, cross my legs and start meditating

After an hour or so, I sense someone in front of me, I open my eyes to see Drumm just standing there.

"The Ancient One would like to see you now"  I just nod at him, then follow him through the doors that lead to Kamar Taj, magic is just awesome I just went from New York to Kathmandu.

He leads me through some buildings to the office that Strange met her for the first time.

I see a Chinese old man sitting at the main seat, does she pull this trick on everyone new here. I ignore him, look at her making tea and just bow a little "It's a pleasure to finally meet the current Sorcerer Supreme"

She looks a little surprised "Ahh it appears Master Drumm was correct you do know things your not supposed to Mr. Ward. Thank you Master Hamir" the old man just stands and leaves

"Well lets me and you have a little chat" ohh she can be sassy

"Of course I was looking forward to this moment the question is have you?"  well so can I

She just takes a moment "So it appears you know of my abilities and know the future as well, that still doesn't explain how I didn't see the current version of you or your current future"

"You can't? that's interesting" I'm very surprised I didn't expect her not to see me at all

"Indeed, so Mr. Ward, why would I allow an unknown variable as you learn the Mystic Arts"

Good so she is not hostile, "Because One you need the manpower Earth is under constant threat, and Two I have important information that's useful to you and to Kamar- Taj in exchange, I am also willing to take the oath to protect the earth the next couple of years"

"Only the next couple of years, why is that?" she fishes for information

I smile at her "So it's true, you can't see much after your death" she freezes at that

"So you have seen even that Mr. Ward, but as you know there are many timelines, the information that you have, may only apply to one of those many"

"You are wrong there, it applies to all of them, I will not be telling you more until we can come to an agreement," I say resolutely

She looks at me for a while as she thinks about her options. I have already proven myself to know some important things that she is not aware of, that alone should justify letting me learn magic.

"Sighhh, Very well, what are your terms?" she says with a wry smile, i guess she isn't used to not being in control

"I wish to learn all that Kamar-Taj has to offer, personally from you, study the Infinity Stone you have in your possession, in exchange I give you the information I possess and protect the earth for the next few years" start high the basis of any negotiation

"You learning from me directly is impossible, only those that posses the title Master can come to me for teachings it one of the rules of Kamar-Taj, would you teach academy students advanced army tactics?"... she got me there

"As for you studying the stone that can be arranged under a few conditions that we can work out later" I expected her to reject this one plus she has the upper hand in this, so ok

"Agreed"

"As per your oath, I'll decide if you should take it or not after I receive the information" I keep getting surprised by her, not take the oath?, I mean she has lived for centuries so she sees things differently from the rest

"Do we have an accord?" she asks

"I believe we do" we shake hands to seal the deal

" Now for the information"

"First of all I have a strong reason to believe Kaecilius and his Zealots will betray and kill you in this timeline, after your death Strange becomes Sorcerer Supreme but you already know this"

"Yes but why do you believe it will definitely happen?"

"Because after you die, the world will face Thanos, half of all life will be wiped from the Universe and there was only 1 timeline that led to the Avengers winning out of 14 million, the timeline I saw, this timeline is somewhat set in stone, because if it isn't, then we lose"

She takes a few minutes to process this "This is concerning, I always knew there would be dark times after my death, but it was said that Strange would be able to handle them, and since I can't see this future anymore because of you, we are going into uncharted territory"

"Is it possible for you not to die" if she lives, then I have a bigger chance to survive all the shit that follows

" I'm unsure, because of the power I steal from the dark dimension it lets me live longer but it also damages my body, I'm severely weakened compared to let's say 2 centuries ago, I rarely even use the Eye anymore because it takes so much power from me "

"So that's why you died so easily, I assumed you did it on purpose"

"Would you commit suicide so easily Mr. Ward" she asks me

I just raise an eyebrow, the original Ward did it a few times, I'm sure she has this information

*cough* "Right.. never mind then, we still have time to sort our plans later, for now I Welcome you to Kamar-Taj, Mr. Ward"
