Hi guys.
Yes, the title is not a joke. After much thought, I have decided to drop this story. Looking at the reviews and ratings, I believe that to be the best choice. Now I understand that some of you will say that you like the story, and I thank you for that, but it doesn't change the outcome.
The more chapters I wrote, the more the intricacies of writing revealed themselves to me; before I knew it, I was drowning. I guess this is what the review was referring to by not focusing on the plot or genre.
I guess I was too ambitious with this project and have come to the realization that talent eludes me. If I ever write again, I will try something more generic, like an isekai or a smut novel, perhaps even together. Then when I have gained more experience, I could write the stories I wanted to without smothering the breath it was born from. Maybe then will Seshat shine a light upon my desire to coherently weave my mind into stories that will empower and inspire.
Anyway, that's all. I just wanted you all to know. I hate when authors drop a story and don't let me know.
Thanks for sharing your work. I really enjoyed it.
It shows that you care a lot about your writing and your story. I personally ask, please please please continue this story, but DON'T release it. This is important so you as a writer can have a sense of accomplishment and closer on a story that you wanted to write. That way it will not hold you back, but instead help you move forward because you can say you completed this and you like it.
I intentionally said "you" a lot because that's what matters in the end. Not any of our opinions, positive out negative, but your happiness, and if writing makes you happy, don't give it up because of others, for any reason.
For some reason I can't edit my comment now, but I meant closure instead of closer haha.
I was liking your writing style and looking forward to more
Ty. Was really enjoyable
It is sad to see a novel dropped, but I'm sure many on this site understand. I truly believe the concept of this story has an insane amount of potential. Do what you love, but make sure you enjoy it.
As sad as it is to see the book go, it's ultimately your decision and your mental health that takes precedence, thanks for the entertainment (however short lived)
Oi. First off, I don't mind if you drop the novel, it's awesome but... there's no point in reading if the author themself isn't satisfied with it. This is YOUR book. YOUR choice. I'll respect it.
Second, don't stop. Write your ideas down constantly and think up more when you're done.
Third. The most important one. Relax. Ignore the world and relax, watch a show or something. Read another author's book.
Learn more about something random.
Only when you relax, can you understand what you want to write.
Only when you are in touch with yourself in small, relaxed moments. Do you know what you want? Do you know what kind of book you want? No? Then ignore it. Calm down and take time to yourself and find what you DO want.
From one author to another, don't drop it. Don't delay it. Keep it on your mind and take inspiration even from the smallest things and relax as you do it.
The secret to good writing is a lot of bad writing. I thought the story was good. Needs work, but that is what first drafts are for.
I suggest you keep writing every day. Publish it on scribblehub and learn your craft. Like in almost everything, practice makes better.
Take care.
I look forward to your return.
maybe next time try to write short (10-30 episodes) story to get some expirence
you write style was nice
you have good concept you do not need to stop writing just look at you story from the perspective of your characters and there goals as well as your goals and rewrite it
and this is a suggestion do not limit the abilities of magic like you did in this story to me limiting what magic can do ruins the story limit what the characters can do with magic not what magic can do
try reading tree of aeons its a really well done LitRPG
