“Alright, chat! Today we’re gonna be looking at the photos I took for a previous sub goal. You all voted on what character I’d cosplay, and you’re gonna see the results in a moment.”

Hunter’s hand hovered over the mouse for a moment. What if he’d misremembered how good the photos looked? What if his viewers just thought he looked funny or gross?

But he’d made a promise. He clicked the button to share his screen in OBS.

As soon as the first photo from the shoot became visible, chat went absolutely wild. He’d never seen messages scroll by so quickly. 

“Whoa, chat! Gettin’ excited, huh? Good luck keeping up with them, mods.”

The donation chime played. Wtf you’re so cute.

Then another. We must be in the gerudo desert cuz it’s HOT in here

A third. Simp mode engaged. Uhh I’d let this vai into MY town walls if u know what i’m sayin.

“Whoa! Thank you for all the donations, everyone! Incredibly generous. And we have a bunch more photos to go through.”

Ding. Seriously making me question my heterosexuality dude. 

That one made him feel a little uncomfortable. He felt awkward thinking about photos of his cosplay turning men on. Girls, on the other hand? Girls would be kinda pog.

“Well, uh, let’s move on to some of the other photos!” He clicked next in the shared photo album. Chat popped off once again.

Looking at his donations after the stream, Hunter was shocked by how much he’d made. Before now, he’d been assuming that most of the money from Twitch would come from regular viewers subscribing. But today he’d made almost $60 in about an hour! For the first time, it was really sinking in that maybe he really could do this. Maybe he could make a living as a streamer.

Of course, it wasn’t really just in an hour. The photoshoot itself took a few hours, and Z did a lot of the actual work. If I had to buy a costume and hire a makeup artist and rent a studio I’m pretty sure I’d end up losing money. But still… I guess getting better at doing my own makeup would be a good start. And buying more girl clothes. 

He heard the ding of a Discord message and switched over to see a new message from Mel.
