Kendrick stuck on the chair all depressed, his eyes lost all its hope. It was because his head was so exhausted over the endless torture, he even forgot about the most important thing amongst this.
Alissa forgot about the most important part over the scroll. It was limited over the “keywords”, however, since Kendrick was too broken to notice. There was only death hanging upon his face.
Alissa sat on his lap, and crossed her legs between him. Her red deep eyes stared at his lips, seemingly longing for them, before she finally started her act.
“Ahmpph~!”
Her small lips faced his, before she finally started giving him a long smooch. Alissa placed her hands upon his neck and face, treasuring every second of it.
“Hmhmhmmp!”
Kendrick tried to fight back each time, but like a beast, he was always dominated by Alisssa. In the end, his lips soon fell prey to her lips.
Alissa removed her tops before her other hand finally left his shoulder. Her hand slipped down to the bottom, until it finally stopped at his pants.
Her eyes turned into crimson red while a big smile crept up on her face.
What a frigging devil…
Kendrick’s brows continued to shiver in fear, as she soon started touching his treasury. The pleasure yet unending agony mixed together fought inside his head.
Alissa pleasured herself with Kendrick’s body until she was very satisfied. It wasn’t new doing something so incel with him now. After all, he’s more doomed to be kicked out or killed sooner or later. In her eyes, they were no longer siblings.
The pleasure has now ended. It was time for the pain…
Alissa looked at Kendrick, fully beaten dead tired on the chair, before licking her lips once more.
She wasn't supposed to torture him. It was her father's instruction as well. He will be attending the Majesty's tomorrow in his castle, and everything depends on it. Including their heads possibly rolling in the ground if he makes mistakes.
However, due to her pride being hurt…. She couldn't just hold herself from doing so.
"Dear brother~! I wasn't going to torture you supposedly, but you made me do so now~~ I'm sure you'll love this stuff I prepared for you~"
Alissa walked away from him and stopped at the nearby corpse from the side.
Her thin and fragile hand touched the heads of its corpse, and soon enough, a darkness formed upon her fingertips, channeling over its head.
The corpse started twitching little by little, until it was able to stand. It seemed to have regained its life, however, the backlash was, it seemed to have no intelligence or whatsoever.
Kendrick watched everything unfold and couldn't accept the truth as well.
In the otome game, there were three rare races that's considered dangerous beings that could cause the extinction of humanity.
The Dragon kin, Demonic entities, and lastly…
Necromancers…
Being that defied the law of nature. Beings that revive the dead, and are in long wars with the church.
They were supposed to be extinct a long time ago… And yet, his younger sister was one of them..?
If news flies around about it, their whole household from top to the bottom tiers, would have their heads rolling in the ground.
On the contrary, Alissa doesn't seem to be bothered by it.
She petted the undead from its head like petting a little kitten, and gave him an order.
"Eat him alive~!"
The undead flashed towards him, before jumping at him. Its humanlike shattered yellow teeths dug deep upon his shoulder, as it bit him right off the bat. Bloods started seeping out from his shoulder without a pause.
"AAAAAAARRRGGHHHHHHH!!!"
Kendrick screamed in agony, as his skin was torn off by the undead.
Alissa watched all of this with a big smile on her face. Her red eyes gleamed a hue, as her face started to look like a demonic psychopath.
Even though she really is from the very start…
The undead didn't finish there, it also bit away his hands, it didn't take long until the ground was dyed in his blood.
"EURRRGHHHHHH!!"
Kendrick's fragile hand flew away to the ground, it now became a part of it, as his blood covered everything he stood upon.
It was worse to the point he could barely keep his thoughts together. The worst part was he was being eaten alive instead of granting him an eternal rest. Tears started flooding from his eyes as he screamed in agony endlessly.
All he ever wanted was… Live a peaceful life. And yet, just because of his one wrong move, he's now here dying, waiting for his demise that's far from coming…
Alissa's cheeks were all red, as she soon went over to his side and stopped the undead.
"I said eat him alive, not kill him~! But that's good enough, you've done your part~ Now disappear~~"
Her thin hand touched its forehead again, and soon enough, darkness flooded out from its head and traveled back to her fingertips.
The corpse lost its life, and crumbled down to dust.
"Phew, such a waste… Now I lost one again. Well I guess I could just kidnap some peasants again and make a new one. Anyways! Dear brother~!"
Alissa looked at Kendrick who's suffering to even sit properly.
And then, before he departs… She wants to grant him one last wish.
"Do you have any last wish, dear brother~? I'll grant any of them! Who knows, tomorrow might be the last day you'll see daylight."
Even though at such a very lumpy pathetic state, Kendrick's eyes burned a little of determination. It was more of, last struggle…
Last wish…
As soon as he heard them, countless thoughts came afloat his head. However, he only chose to risk one.
It's the one thing he could assure his escape…
Kendrick focused all his strength over his lips, and started speaking.
"...P- Play… A g- game… With me…"
So I've been thinking a lot about how one could "beat" the calamity worm, (Basically how one could get around the speaking limitation.) However I very quickly ran into a roadblock which is how little we know about how the worm works. So then I started to consider how does the worm know when you give up information?
My first thought was that it used a sort of banned words list (foreshadowing). I figured that be pretty easy to subvert, just talk very verbosely. Like instead of using the word for something, describe it. For example instead of saying glass you'd say "crushed rock, melted down and cooled to form a fragile, yet transparent material." You've got the idea across but didn't use the word. There's also the fact that this family probably didn't think of EVERY synonym for EVERY banned word, meaning there could gaps in the list that could be used. But then I figured, "No that's too easy! Clearly the author wants to make it impossible for the protagonist to reveal the plan at this meeting."
Thus brought me to my second (and very wrong) theory of how the worm knows what you said, that the worm somehow understands the concept. So in the story the worm would activate when the concept of the protagonist's family or the noble's scheme comes up. So I thought and I thought and then I realized if that's the case, why not pass the information off as a hypothetical story? Like instead of saying "help There's a calamity worm in me!" You'd tell the king/princess a analogous story about a boy who got a parasite put in him and have the royalty put 2 and 2 together? And to myself I thought yeah that's really smart! That'd surely solve the problem!
This my fellow reader, was the beginning of the end... for a doubt, like a parasitic worm, started eating at the back of my mind. What if the worm understood allegory and metaphor... Well at that point its basically confirmed that this worm would have to be sapient. That worm would have to have a comparable intelligence to a human. The banned word list is pretty simple to instill in a animal. It'd basically just be basic pavlovian conditioning. It'd be like training a dog to sit. The dog doesn't know what the word "sit" means, it just knows that if it sits when it hears the word "sit" it will get a treat. In this cursed third scenario, the worm would be able to actually understand "Sit" and use it in a sentence.
After this realization, the madness began. THIS MEANS YOU CAN COMMUNICATE WITH THE WORM! Instead of trying to break or skirt the rules, you could instead BARGAIN with the worm. There's no need for these rule lawyer ass solutions, just talk to the worm! So then I started asking myself, what would this parasitic worm desire? What does this sapient worm get out of being put in someone's body? To this I came up with two possibilities. 1. The worm DOESN'T want to do this and is enslaved through magic or something and 2. The worm wants to eat the heart.
In this first possibility I considered that, since this worm has a higher intelligence, it probably isn't that much of a stretch to say it has a moral code of sorts and there's obviously magic involved with the code word deal. What if the magic is the standard Fantasy slave contract so that the person implanting the worm has control over it? In this case you could offer the worm freedom and join forces to fight off the evil nobles!
However once again, doubt began to gnaw at my mind. That's to easy! The world isn't such a nice place! There is no pure worm with a guarded heart due to tragically being tricked by the evil humans and enslaved! No, the worm is in on the conspiracy! What does it get out of helping the evil nobles? A free meal of course! It wants to eat a juicy heart! Perhaps someone with a juicier heart could be offered in exchange for your freedom? But then I continued to dig deeper into the concept, what if the host keeps there mouth shut forever, Never to speak of the banned concept ever again? Would the worm eat the corpse when the host eventually dies of old age or something. That could take ages! No discerning gourmand would wait that long for such a subpar meal. Whats keeping the worms from being exploited? Then it came to me. Calamity worm worker's union or CWWU for short. It was brilliant! The worms would join forces and start striking! They'd rise up against the tyrannical nobles and take back power! But no the nobles would not like that one bit. The greedy nobles would want to keep all their power, so they'd start to hire mercenaries/adventurers to suppress the protesting worms!
It was around at this point that I went back to this chapter to start a comment. I just had to let the world know that in the near future there would be a calamity worm union busting arc! It was so obvious how had nobody else predicted this! However before I posted my Genius comment, I decided to make sure I posted my comment on a chapter that was relevant to the worms. Nobody would want to read my brilliant thesis on calamity worms on a chapter that had nothing to do with them! So I reread this chapter, because I vaguely remember seeing something about the worms being mentioned when I read it earlier in the morning. It was then that harsh reality brought me out of my reverie. This chapter confirms that the worms work off the keyword system and that it could exploited.
God am I a dumbass...
It was the best comment I love it man
@Emeruferu honestly I think the calamity worm has been my favorite fantasy type thing to appear in the story so far. I think Iseaki lives and dies on the world building. It's literally Japanese for another world. What's the point of exploring and learning about a fantasy world if its so cookie cutter generic that you immediately know the general gist of everything in it. Iseaki sorely needs originality and surprises in its world building and the calamity worm is doing just that for me. It raises some interesting questions about the world like whats the ecology in the north like to make the worm rare? What happens to the worm after eating someone's heart? Does it immediately try to find a new host? Does go berserk and start attacking anything near by? Does it return to the person controlling it? It seems to be controlled by magic, does that mean other monsters can be controlled with magic or is something about the worm special? How did it get the name calamity worm? I hope to see more stuff like it in this story as it stands out.
this is just torture po*n
