"Its morning already, hmm?" I woke up and found Miyu sleeping with her head resting beside me while sitting on a chair

What? Did she gave up her bed for me, oh shes awake

"Oh good morning Ishigami"

"Good morning Miyu"

"Uh where are you going" I got up and went to the kitchen to cook breakfast for us because I didnt want to be spoiled too much

"Iam gonna cook, you can help if you want"

She smiled and started helping me cook

"Hey you should have some vegetables too so you can recover faster"

"Fine haha" for the first time in two months, I felt happy again while I was with Miyu, she was nice and also cute

"Done, come on lets eat" we ate together while talking about our hobbies and what we used to do before the demon attack

"So, Miyu.. Iam okay now so I can take you back to the safe grounds, lets leave when your ready"

"Iam glad your okay now, we can leave by tomorrow, for now lets pack our stuff and gather food from the supermarkets"

"Good idea, its a long way from here so were gonna need alot of food, also the dangers we need to get pass"

I took my rifle and head out with Miyu
we snuck in from building to building to avoid the demons until we get to the supermarket

"Miyu, how did you get your food when you were alone?" 

I asked while we were walking
Through an alley way

"Oh uh.. I already have them before I got stuck in there"

"I see, what will you do when we get there?"

"Hmm.. I'll find a job and live alone I guess, oh were here, perfect timing there arent any  demons around"

We went inside the supermarket and took everything we can with us, luckily we got home without being spotted by demons

"Ah, that was exhausting, we better start packing for tomorrow"

"Yeah, I'll take care of the food, you can pack anything you want to bring with you"

We packed our stuff and ate dinner, after that we got ready for bed

"Uh Miyu, you can sleep on your bed now I'll just sleep on the couch"

"What? Are you sure, w-we can sleep together if you want" she said nervously while blushing

"Eh? Are you sure its fine?" I doubt it will take one day to get back, meaning we'll be sleeping together on our travels, so I guess its fine

"Y-yeah, you dont seem to be the type who would do weird things"

"Ok then" I lied down beside her and we both went silent.... I couldnt sleep that night

The next morning, we packed and left the house

it took about 2 hours to get here on a helicopter from the safe zone it would take days to go there on foot, not to mention the demons we need to get pass

"Ishigami, theres demons over there" Miyu pointed out the demons in a distance

"Theres no other way around them, so we have to make a path, stay behind me" I pulled out my rifle and sniped them while hidden inside a nearby shop

I successfully shot them down but the gun shots attracted more demons

"Shit, they should've put a suppressor on this thing, lets make a run for it"

"Ok, I dont know the way so please dont leave me behind"

"I wont do that, tsk theres so many of them"

 
I stopped and shot the ones getting too close and kept running

"Ishigami! We're surrounded" there was demons running towards us infront and behind, we had no where else to run

"Miyu get down!" I shot the demons trying to protect Miyu, there was demons in every angle, I tried shooting as fast as I can even tho I only had a sniper

I wont let this happen again, three on the right, five on the left, six from behind and four infront, come on Kazuha you cant let Miyu die here

BANG I blew off their heads as they got closer but I got caught off guard, a demon from beside got too close to me

GET OFF I pulled out my combat knife and fought the demon hand to hand

I dodged its attacks and pulled out my pistol

I shot its head and threw my knife on another one approaching me

ISHIGAMI LOOK OUT Miyu shouted when a demon capable of magic launched a huge rock at me

ARGH I dodged in time and picked up my rifle to shoot it

BANG but it created a wall made of stone to block my shots

They just keep coming, Iam running low on ammo if this keeps up we'll end up dead, damn it why does it have to end here

"Ishigami...stay close to me" Miyu stood next to me and started chanting something

DEMON SPIKES black spikes emerged from the ground breaking it apart while obliterating the demons surrounding us

The whole area was covered in a black aura, including Miyu

"Miyu...how did you do all this"

"Iam so sorry I lied to you, I thought you would kill me if you found out that Iam a demon"

Miyu bursts into tears and fell on her knees apologizing to me over and over

"I'll never do that... You saved me right? I wouldnt be here without you" I hugged her to try and comfort her

"Thank you, please dont leave me alone.." she hugged me back tightly

"I'll stay here, theres nothing left to go back to anyway"

We hugged each other for a while until Miyu calmed down

When my family died, I swore to kill every demon, I thought they were all evil and heartless, I never thought I would be saved by one

"Miyu what kind of demon are you?"

"Iam a shadow demon, I can use dark magic" Her horns started to appear as she removes her concealment magic to show me

A shadow demon? So shes a high ranking demon, why did she chose to save a mere human like me, she could have killed easily

"Whats our plan now, the government might discover you if we go back, and I dont have much ammo left to survive here"

"Oh, I have an idea, make a pact with me"

"A pact? Whats the benefits?"

I dont trust this, shes a demon like those who murdered my family but she did save me, however that might be the reason she did to make me feel in debt to her and accept it

"Magic, you'll be able to use magic like me, but you cant hurt me, and if one of us die the other dies" 

"I refuse" I declined her offer, even though she saved me I still cant trust a demon after what happened to my family

"Oh, you still dont trust me, I knew it, I shouldnt have let you know" she looked dissapointed and sad, it pains me to see so I just looked away

"I'll go where I left my team, maybe there might be ammo and other equipment I could scavenge from them, if you want come with me"

...
She stayed silent and looked away from me, But still followed me as I continued walking

"I declined your offer, but that doesnt mean I'll leave you, after all you saved my life"

she still didnt respond after that, we continued to walk with a cold atmosphere between us neither one of us spoke the entire time
