We arrived at the location I dropped in and saw that it was still infested with demons

This must be a bad spot to be in, why didnt they scout the area first before deploying us here, its like they sent us to die

"Miyu, I'll find a good spot to snipe from, come with me" she gave me a cold stare but still followed me silently

"This should be a good spot" I found a spot in an old building's second floor and tried to keep a low profile as much as possible

*BANG* I shot one in the head blowing it off, the demons scattered as they heard the gunshot, I was too far so they didnt spot me but.. they started going out of my sight and behind the buildings

"Damn it, we need to reposition"

"No need, I'll kill them myself" Miyu's eyes turned red and vanished leaving a dark smoke, the next thing I knew, Miyu was fighting the demons I was shooting at a distance

In Miyu's perspective..

Ugh theres so many of them, why am I fighting them for that guy, his planning to go back to the safe zone and leave me after he gets his supplies here

Theres no use, even if I do this his still going to go, his just like every human Ive seen 

SHADOW BLADES! Miyu creates a thousand of blades while sending them flying to the target like arrows 

*BANG* a demon behind Miyu falls down with a blown up head 

Huh? Ishigami...

She gazes at Kazuha's direction quietly while the demons approached her and saw that he has repositioned already

*BANG* demons fell down one by one as Kazuha provides her fire support at a distance

"Huh? Their running away"

The demons ran inside a building and Miyu chased after them

In Kazuha's perspective..

Tsk they lured her in there to take cover from me, I better go after her

Kazuha ran to Miyu while tearing through the demons blocking his path

*BANG* Ive seen this before, its like that time when I was running to my family, but shes a demon, why am I trying to protect her

I arrived infront of the building Miyu went in, dead soldiers were scattered around, I found a shotgun on the corpses and a bunch of ammo 

"This is gonna be useful" I ran in the building and looked for Miyu 

GET OFF ME! I heard Miyu's voice in a distance and ran to her location 

There she is, Miyu...

I found her pinned down to the ground by the fire breathing demon

*BANG* I threw a smome grenade in the air and shot it mid air to smoke the area

*BANG* I shot its eyes and quickly before the smoke spreads, then the demon breathes fire around itself trying to hit me

I ran while the demon pans its head trying to catch me with its fiery breathe until I disappeared into the smoke

In Miyu's perspective...

He actually came to help me, huh.. he disappeared

Smoke covered the whole area making it hard to see for both the demon and Kazuha, but he already know that the demon isnt leaving the center of the room to guard Miyu meaning he knows where the enemy is

*Glass breaking* the demon looks at the direction the sound came from and started preparing to breathe fire

There he is, how clumsy is he to make a noise at this situatio-- 

I came out in the opposite direction of where the demon was aiming pointing my shotgun at the demon

*BANG* I shot the demon from behind and blowing up its head into pieces

"A diversion?! When?" 

"Are you okay? Oh you got hurt" I went to help Miyu get up but it looks like her leg got burnt 

"Its fine.." Miyu uses her healing magic on herself while sitting in the floor

"So thats what you used to heal my burns that time, you might have left some untreated so I dont notice, but I still saw the changes" 

"So you did notice, I underestimated you too much, your not an average human are you, so how did you do that earlier?" 

She asked me curiously 

"I threw that glass bottle in the air and went behind it right before the bottle fell and made a noise, I cant see through the smoke but I memorized the area before smoking it"  

"I see, I guess you dont need me after all, you can go back to your home now if you want, Iam fine being alone" she said a sad tone of voice

"Lets just loot the place and go back home, I mean your home by that" 

She looked at me and smiled a bit then started helping me get weapons and ammo, we also took back the food we brought since we cancelled our plan

"We cant take all of them at once, lets just come back tommorrow since its not very far from your house" she nodded and we went back 

When we got back, we ate dinner and talked about our pasts

"Ishigami, what happened to you, when you fight, I cant feel any fear from you, all there is... Is anger, why do you hate demons so much" 

"They brutally killed my family, I cant forgive them after that..." I told her about what  happened that day the demons attacked

"Oh, Iam sorry to hear that, so thats why you didnt trust me, I understand you" she looked down and started telling me her past

"My mom was a shadow demon capable of changing into human form, she met a soldier and fell in love with each other, so they got married and had a child, me.. when I was born, the doctors saw my horns and found out my mom was a demon, so she ran away with me using her magic" 

"She then met up with my dad and finally told him the truth thinking he would help her, but... He didnt, he tried to kill me and my mother, so my mother took me away from home"

"even if I was a half demon, she still raised me, and loved me, but when I reached 13 years old, she was killed by the soldiers"

"You must have been through alot, how could you trust me after all that, your a high ranking demon so you could have killed me easily" 

"You were young for a soldier, so It felt wrong killing you, so I helped you instead"

"I see, thanks for saving me" we finished our meals and got ready for bed 

Here we go again, maybe I'll just sleep on the couch this time

"What're you doing there, you can sleep beside me if you want" 

Oh no not again... What do I do, it feels wrong sleeping with a girl my age 

"Uh... isnt it a little embarrassing to sleep together, you know..."

She turned red and layed down facing away from me

"I-its fine, if you try anything funny your a dead man" 

She might hate me if I turn her down, specially after what happened today, maybe I should to make up with her

After alot of hesitating, I ended up lying beside her, whats worse is its not a bed made for two so I had to squeeze in beside her

"Hey... why did you help me earlier, you could have just abondoned me there to die" 

"Why would I do that, I may be cold but I still have a heart, and besides, your important to me"

"W-what do you mean by that?" 

"I dont know either, but I felt like I need to protect you, so I thought maybe your important to me" 

"I see, thank you for being nice to me" she turned over to hug me from behind

"M-Miyu, what are you doing"

"Its my gift for protecting me"

Is this a trap, well this is actually the first time we will sleep together after I declined her offer, will she mark me while Iam asleep?

Wait, its a pact, so she needs my consent  first before she marks me, I guess Iam fine... Iam prepared if anything happens
