A few hours later..

I was sent back to the city while Miyu was captured and locked up somewhere, they brought me to an interrogation room and questioned why I was trying to protect Miyu

"Where am I, why am I here"

"Were here at the military base, Your being interrogated today Ishigami, after all those weeks what have you been doing out there?"

"I was living with Miyu, she saved me after you guys bombed us"

"Oh that, well we didnt expect anyone to be alive, but a demon saved you? I know your a kid but this isnt a time to joke"

"Why would I joke about that, besides if Miyu wanted to kill me I would have been dead long ago, where is she"

"Oh shes locked up at the underground prison of the base, shes a big catch we can get alot of money from capturing her alive, you can go now, I dont think theres no more info we can get from you"

I was sent at a hotel nearby to stay there for the night, I couldnt stop thinking about Miyu

I need to get her out of there, but how do I get past those soldiers, maybe Iam allowed to visit her

I went back to the military base as a soldier and went to visit Miyu

"Oh its you again, what brings you here? You wanna visit your girlfriend? Haha"

"Thats what Iam planning to do, can I go visit her then?" While their busy talking, I pick pocketed a hand grenade from one of them without being noticed

This might get useful later, especially now that Iam planning break out of this place with Miyu

"Oh sure then, she must be a succubus if your attracted to her that much, alright here you are, dont take too long"

The guard brought me to her cell and let me inside then left us alone to talk, Miyu was on chains and had bruises around her body

"Miyu... What did they do to you, tell me who did this to you, I'll kill them"

"No, you cant do that, you'll get caught or even be killed, dont risk your life for me"

"Why dont you break out of here, you can easily do that with your powers"

"They might go after you if I escape, and besides its safer here in the city, you should stay here"

"Miyu... Lets make the pact" 

"Huh? A-are you sure?" Miyu was suprised 

"Iam sure, if your worried about my safety, I'll be strong as you so you dont need to worry, how do we make the pact"

"Uh.. w-we kiss, just kidding, I only need to mark a part of your body with my blood"

"Dont joke around like that, I nearly changed my mind"

"Hmph, you should be happy if a cute girl offers you a kiss"

Miyu bites her finger and started drawing on my hand, her blood started to burn onto my skin engraving the mark permanently

"Now, the rules is if one of us dies the other dies aswell, and you cant hurt me"

"Well thats very life threatening, I just have to concentrate my energy into any shape right?"

I created a sword made out of dark energy like the one Miyu uses, then I cut off her chains to let her free

"Whoa you learned fast, let me just heal myself quickly, they already took out the bullet that hit me, so it should be fine to close off the wound"

Now I need to take this guy out

"Huh? Ack l-let.. go of.. me" I choked the guard from behind until he passed out

HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING! the other guards spotted us and alerted the whole base, Miyu and I made a run for it

DEMON SPIKES! Miyu closed off the path behind us with black spikes coming from the walls

"That should buy us time, wheres the exit Kazuha?"

"The exits up ahead, I hear people coming from the right get ready"

*Splatter* blood scattered around the hall and the soldiers were killed by Miyu

"Theres the exit!" I slashed the pillars with my sword before going out making that part of the building collapse sealing the exit behind us

*Chuff chuff chuff* helicopters and armoured trucks surrounded the building as we got out

"Miyu! Lets teleport, atleast up that building over there so we can run through the rooftops"

"Alright!" Miyu held my hand and teleported to the roof, she needs more energy to teleport to far distances so we couldnt just teleport out of the city

Tsk theres helicopters chasing after us, theres no point in getting high ground

I took out the hand grenade I stole and looked at it thinking how I should use it as we ran

*BANG* They rained bullets on us with the chopper's machine gun, we ran and jumped from roof to roof while dodging the bullets

*Clicks* I pulled out the grenade's pin

"Miyu lets just in the next gap, trust me"

"Kazuha.. what are you planning..."

We jumped in an alley way but before we could land..

*BOOM* The grenade blew up everything in the area, the buildings were damaged and concrete scattered around

"What happened! Did those bastards blew themselves up?" 

"Search the area!"

The soldiers searched the but couldnt find anyone not even corpses

"Tsk their bodies might have been gone in the explosion, not even their bones is left"

In a street far away from the commotion.. 

"Miyu are you okay?"

"Iam...*pants* Okay, that teleportation took alot of energy though...I dont think I can walk anymore"

Miyu gasps for air and sat down in the empty streets, Kazuha gazes at the direction they came from quietly

"That was close" 

*Flashback*

*Chuff chuff chuff* helicopters and gun fire can be heard

"Kazuha, what do we do" 

"Miyu, how far can you teleport, theres a quiet street to our south do you think you can teleport there?"

"I think I can but... That would drain my energy"

"Will you be okay if you do that?"

"I'll be paralyzed for a while, but we need to run dont we?"

"I'll carry you on my back, I'll use this grenade to erase our trace, we'll teleport at the last second before it explodes to make it look like we died in it, that should buy us some time or they'll believe were dead and give up if were lucky"

"Alright, I'll leave the rest to you"

We jumped in the next gap of the roof and dropped in an alley way and *BOOM*

That was a risky move, but we got away with it somehow

"Miyu, wear this, were still in the city so you have to hide your horns, dont waste your energy on concealment magic"

I gave Miyu my hoodie and put on the hood to hide her horns and carried her on my back

"Kazuha... Thanks for saving me"

"Its fine"

We walked through the dark streets, while Miyu rested on my back

"Hey Kazuha, why did you go that far into destroying your reputation for me, you could be living peacefully in one of this houses if you hadn't done that, and you accepted the pact despite your past"

"I dont know either, when my family died, I lost my will to live, all my dreams shattered into a thousand pieces, so I just decided that I want to take revenge, but then I met you, I felt happy again in those days I spent with you and had a new reason to live, I lost my family, so Iam not going to lose my friend"

"Oh.. I see... thank you, Iam tired.. I'll just sleep on your back tonight, good night"

"Goodnight, Miyu.."

I wonder what will happen to us now, we'll be running away for the rest of our lives, unless they declare us dead and give up on us
