We arrived at a bus stop and took a bus to get further from the city

"Miyu, wake up, were taking the bus to get away from here, you can sleep in the bus, make sure to hide your horns"

"Huh? ...Oh its morning, did you carry me all night?" Miyu got off my back while yawning

"I had no choice, oh the bus is here"

I covered my mouth with my hand, pretending to cough to hide my face from the driver then took the farthest sit with Miyu to keep a low presence

An hour later, we got off our stop and payed with the money I saved, then we went into the woods nearby to rest there hidden

"Whats our plan now, Kazuha"

'Were going back home, but its very far from here so were gonna have to travel back on foot, not to mention were wanted criminals now, they may think were dead but some people might recognize us and report it to the authorities"  

"Oh I see, so were gonna stay here for the night?"

"Unfortunately, yes, I'll go find some fire wood, wait here"

I made a sword with magic and chopped trees to make a shelter and a fire

Good thing that I still have this lighter I used for the molotov

I started a fire and made a small tent for the two of us

"Miyu, are you feeling okay now?"

"Yeah I got enough rest, I think I can use magic again, I'll go find us some food, you already walked all night so get some rest"

Miyu uses concealment magic for her horns

"Alright, be careful"

I fell asleep in the small tent we made while waiting for Miyu

I woke up a few hours later...

Huh?, Its getting dark, Miyu hasnt come back yet, maybe I should go find her

I went deeper into the woods without any weapons since I left my guns back there, I followed her tracks and found blood as I went deeper

Blood? Theres broken branches aswell, looks like slashed off by something sharp
The ground is also wet, did it rain, no.. if it rained the camp would have been also wet,
Theres no any source of water nearby either
Could it be, magic...

I ran through the woods and finally heard voices not too far from me, I hid behind the trees and found Miyu, but she wasnt alone

"Come on, why dont we join forces, were the same kind right? We can rule the world with our power"

A mysterious guy holding blades of water was talking to Miyu

"No, how many times I have to tell you that I dont want to, I dont even know you"

"Oh my bad, my name is Kyouya Satoru, tsk your one tough girl, but that doesnt mean I'll go easy on you, prepare to die"

WATER BLADE The guy charged at Miyu with his weapon made out of water

*Clung* Miyu blocked it with her shadow sword and tries to fight him back

"Tsk, a shadow demon this weak, you gotta be kidding me, huh?"

A sword came flying towards Satoru and stabbed into his shoulder

"How did she do that, oh so you got a friend with you, whats this, I didnt even feel his presence"  

"Kazuha, be careful he's a half demon, he uses water magic"

"Oh this is why you dont wanna come with me, you already got a boyfriend, well let me get rid of him for you, lets see what he can do"

GROUND SPLASH Satoru stabs the ground and created a splashing pool of water, Kazuha backs away but Satoru emerged from the water infront of him

*Swish* Kazuha dodges as Satoru tries to slash his face

His fast, I still dont know how to use my magic, Iam at a disadvantage

SHADOW BLADES! Miyu launches a multiple blades at Satoru, he quickly turned into water and merged with the pool

GOTCHA! He emerged behind Miyu and kicked her into the water, the water shapes into tentacles and grabs Miyu holding her down

"Stay there for a bit girl, I'll just beat up this bastard first"

*Clung* we traded attacks with our blades very fast, but both of us keeps blocking each other

SHIT! a tentacle grabs my foot knocking me off balance, Satoru tries to stab me but I dodged it and slashed him back

"Agh, that hurts, you'll pay for that you little shit"

ACK! He stomps on my stomach as I was knocked down by the water tentacles, he beats me up being unable to get up

After stomping on me for some time, he finally stops and heads towards Miyu

Tsk, come on Kazuha, focus your energy and make something

*BANG* I was able to make a gun out of dark magic and shot Satoru on the back, he fells down and his pool started to dry

"Ugh, you got me real good"

"Big brother!" A small voice was heard from behind the trees, out came a young girl and went to Satoru lying on the ground

"He had a sister"

"What did you do, Stay away from my big brother!"

"What? Your brother tried to kill us"

"Thats not true, his a good brother!" The girl cried, trying to keep is away from her brother

Miyu heals Satoru feeling bad for his sister

"Whoa, thanks, I-I am sorry about earlier, please dont hurt my sister, I'll do whatever you want"

"Fine, tell me, why did you attack us, prove to me that you wont be a threat in the future and that I dont have to get rid of you"

I aimed my gun at him as he begged not to hurt his sister

"Well, me and my sister are half demons, we came from a lab far away from here, I suspect they make half demons there somehow, i know its hard to believe but its true"

"A lab? How many were you there"

"We were five, they killed the other three when they tried escaping, we managed to get out 4 years ago and we've been running away ever since, when I saw Miyu use magic, I found out that shes a half demon aswell, so I tried being friends"

"What a weird way of making friends you have" Miyu said looking at him with disgust

"Hey you took my prey earlier, I was chasing after that boar and you killed it, so I fought for our meal"

They dont seem to be bad people, maybe we could trust them, more numbers can help, and that lab he mentioned, what is the government hiding

"Lets go back to our camp and share the food, if you try anything funny I'll kill you on the spot, dont think I'll hesitate to kill you just because you have a sibling"

"Your quite a scary guy arent you"

"Big brother, are they our friends?"

"Yeah we can be your friends, but not Kyouya his an idiot"

On our way back, Miyu talked to the girl and insulted Kyouya behind his back even tho he can hear them

When we got to our camp..

"Iam Miyu, that guy is Kazuha, whats your name?"

"Miku, and his my older brother Kyouya"

I started a fire and cooked the meat, after some time, it was cooked and we ate together

"Miyu, can I talk to you for minute"

"Oh sure, whats wrong"

"Whats our plan now, do you think we can trust them? How can you make sure their not lying about being half demons, they could be pure demons in disguise"

"I can see their energy, its a mixture of human and demon energy inside their body, shadow demons have a skill to enhance their eyesight to see things a human eye cant, its called Crimson Eyes, I could teach you how to use it"

"How does it work?"

"You apply dark magic into your eyes, its only a one time process but it will hurt and make you go blind for a bit, but once your used to it you can activate it anytime"

"Maybe another day, lets think of what we'll do for now"

"Just give them a chance, they look trustable and besides, Iam a half demon aswell right so you can also trust them" Miyu said trying to persuade me

"I guess you have a point, lets head back"

We went back to the camp

"Ah that meal was great, oh you guys are back, did you do um... You know, hehe" Kyouya said jokingly

"So your that annoying type huh, I still dont trust you so dont get too carried away"

"Eh? Come on man, I was just kidding"

We stayed with them for the night, but I kept watching them just in case they were enemies
