Among the darkness,
I drift along in silence.
I'm solitary.
Nothing in my sight,
I am alone in this place,
Drifting, with no friends.
Around my person,
Faces I see, but don't know.
Who are you people?
I reach out my hand,
I try to touch those faces,
But - sadly - I fail.
I call out, loudly.
They do not respond at all,
But just drift along.
I feel so alone.
Darkness consumes my body.
Am I even real?
Among the darkness,
I drift along in silence.
Forever alone.

It sure is a curious thing how we can feel so lonely despite being surrounded by people.

It can feel like you're being left behind. But sometimes the slower path is the better one. For if we step too quickly we may often trip.
But you're never alone. You'll always have yourself. And if you feel that that is not enough, then I believe you should reevaluate your worth.
